Here's a potentially big Gossip Girl spoiler for you. It was reported yesterday by TV Guide that "a male character on Gossip Girl will be revealed to be of the gay persuasion when the show returns on April 21."
In the book series, Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) played for both teams, so he's an option, although the books have provided only a loose interpretation of what we've seen on The CW's Gossip Girl so far.
We think that Eric van der Woodsen (Connor Paolo), Serena's little brother, or the always mysterious Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick, pictured) might be more likely candidates to come out of the closet.

i'm praying that it's not chuck OR dan!!! dan and serena are
so perfect together and i just love chuck too much to see
him be gay=[ i'm thinkin it might be eric...hopefully. that
would tie in nicely with the whole van der Woodson problems
at home thing

I think it's going to be Chuck. I'm almost positive of it. However, I would rather he won't be gay because he's my favorite and I NEED him to be with Blair! I always saw Eric as the gay one. Like, since the show started. I'd be so much happier if it was him, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

okay it's definatly Dan, like you said in the 9th book he made
out with that guy from standford or w.e..He wasnt exactly gay
just confused, but if you were a true reader you'd know that a
period of time Chuck was "experimenting" mostly because he was
bored. so he could possibly be the gay one.

okay so in the book dan was definatly confused not really gay
He did have that fling with the standford guy but that wasnt
till the 9th book,and at that time dan was on his way to
college which is no where close to where they are now in the
show. So I kinda doubt he mite be the gay one
But also if you were a true reader you'd know that at a period
of time Dan really wasnt in the picture he was on vacations or
w/e and he just got bored and decided to "experiment" with men
cause as you all know hes just a horny scumbag. So I think if
its any character its him.
