  1. Elizabeth Says:

Uhm, wow. I first saw the poster of Nate & Serena on
PerezHilton.com, and I was like WOW. The Blair
and Chuck one is better, as the lesser of two
evils. Though I do like the Chace & Blake one, lol.
I just hope my mom doesn't see them or else
I will never be allowed to watch that show again.
She already took away Degrassi. *sobs* When I was just
barely recovering from her taking away The O.C.
    LOL.

    Elizabeth

  2. Clare Says:

I cannot believe this! I think the Chuck/Blair one is sexy, but the Serena/Nate one is WAY and let me repeat, WAY too extreme. they aren't even technically a couple on the show! AARGH! and OMFG the nerve of the ad company, or whoever's idea this was, cause it was a bad one@

  3. QueenB202 Says:

i like the chuck/blair one theyre my fav couple plus
i think the nate/serena one is WAY TOO EXTREME. The chuck/blair
one is just right it's sexy and hot but not extreme.

  4. Sophie Says:

I like the Nate/Serina one better actually... It is a really good pictuare and here in Holland where I live it's really not that extreme...

  5. chris Says:

wow...you guys are a bunch of little kids.
i thought both ads were very sexy and exciting.
if you guys can't handle what they put on the ads (which is obviously gonna be on the show) then you guys shouldn't be watching the show. it's obviously not for your age group.

  6. nadia Says:

I agree with Chris above! I think that both ads are awesome. For personally it's Serena and Nate as Ive been their fan since day 1. I like Blair and Chuck too. I think the producers could get it more right. And the ads are saucy sexy. But the main thing they have a character, unlike a lot of generic staff that tv has been feeding us lately...Well done and Thank you for spicing things up a little!

  7. carmen Says:

its not about being "a bunch of kids" we're able to reconize that the people from gossip girl went too far with this add and its honnestly not appropriate. i don't care if it is a show aimed at kids or not. the fact is those ppl on the add "represent" teenagers. the characters are teenagers and thats not something you should be promoting.
Else than that i love the chuck & blair one.. yummmmy.

  8. GGIRL Says:

Pfft, get over it, im a teen and im a huge fan of the show, I love both ads but i like the nate and serena one better, duh we're not little kids anymore who gives a crap wut the ads show, they're both hot and being used to promote the show, if someone thinks its too extreme then they shouldn't watch the show, its not like they show nudity on them.

    XD

  9. GGIRL Says:

i have mixed feelings about the ads. a part of me thinks that they are really cool and scandalous, but the other part of me feels that alot of parents will no longer let their teenagers watch the show anymore because they'll get the wrong idea of it. sex is not all this show is about. it has to do with what these supposedly "incredibly lucky" kids have to go through. i think its supposed to show that money doesn't buy happiness. yeah they live with the best of everything but almost all of them are missing love and emotional support from their parents and sometimes friends. but the ads and commercials fail to reconize that. i understand that "sex sells" but i think the ads could use a little substance...

  10. GGIRL Says:

definitely the blair/chuck poster. the other one is too sleazy
and i never will be able to watch gossip girl again if my mom
    sees it.

  11. *d* Says:

OMFG I TOTALY AGREE WITH CHRIS YOU ARE ALL BABYS AND HERE IN
EUROPE ITS NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL. SAYING THAT I LUV THE NATE
    AND SERENA AD

  12. A Says:

Okay, so this show is for 18+ there is now reason
why any of these ads should be considered too
extreme. If you are afraid of your mother seeing it,
you obviously shouldnt be watching the show.

Nate & Serena definitely gets the point across 100x better
    than Chuck and Blair.

  13. Stephanie :) Says:

    okay;
    the nate/serena is too much
and you can like see up chucks nose in the other one and his fae looks all weird
so i dont really like either but i love the show

  14. Kayyy Says:

    Totally love Nate/Serena.<33
    so amazingly hot!!!
    i mean come on girls--
    if you were having sex
    with someone that effin gorgeous
dont you think you would look like Serena too!
+ the Blair/Chuck one looks a little awkward??

  15. Patrick Says:

somebody tell that dorothy woman to put a sick in it, cuz these promos r so OMFG HOT! I luv the Serena and Nate one most sure its over the top but hey...so is the show. The Blair and Chuck one is hot too but im more of an extremist! LOL. They are not scandalous so the old people can go back to watching re-runs of the Golden Girls and Murder She Wrote. Great ads! Gotta love it!

  16. Zap Says:

also I think the PTC and other conservative people/ some parents are naive about how innocent teenagers really and truly are. There are teens that have sex and yes even do drug. LETS BE REALISTIC HUR. Dur! Also the promos arent scandalous one but. Its just the open mouth of ecstasy in the Serena/Nate one that has old people all freaked out. LOL.

  17. Kellie Says:

    eh my gawd!!
Dorothy---let me break this down for you.
I don't belive in god...nor will I ever...and your threats about a fictional charecter in make belive land called "The Bible" doesn't scare me...and for the people who belive in god on here who I may have offended im sorry..I respect your opinions and all...but this is mine...and I thought I should share it!

  18. Kelly Says:

People who think the Nate/Serena ad is a little too risque aren't overreacting, even if those of you who think you're just so "cool" and "grown-up" say so. I'm almost 18, and even I have to admit that ad's a bit much. And seeing as how this show is targeted towards teens younger than I am, it's understandable that people might not want to see teens having orgasms on an ad for a "teen" television show. (Especially considering that I don't think I've seen anyone practice safe sex on GG)

Anyway, I think the ad for the new season is giving the show a bad name. GG, although still grossly unrealistic, was a classy, interesting show full of drama and great fashion. There was still sex/sexual references, but it was always in kind of a tasteful way. Now, these ads just make it look like sex is the focal point of the show; like it's soft teen porn. I don't mind a little sex every now and then (I know when to separate fantasy from reality), but Idk if I could stand to watch a show if it was just all sex and no story, like the new season is hinting to be.

  19. Kelly Says:

And if you want to be "realistic", than yes teens are having sex, but definitely not like they do on Gossip Girl. (In the backseat of a limo after breaking up with your nearly bethrothed; getting filmed in an "almost" sex tape etc etc). Even Blake and other cast members have stressed over and over again that this show is NOT a depiction of real life.

  20. alana Says:

the nate/serena one is a piece of the puzzle in season one as far as their relationship and the undertones it brought to everyone's relationships from serena and blair's friendship to chuck having dirt on serena to why nate still has feelings for serena and is not sure about a continued relationship with b.
that being said for it's placement... that one is still a little raunchy and the chuck/blair one is as awkward looking as the kiss was on the show.
I like the show but the ads don't represent the fullness of the show. it's not all about sex--similar to the swingtown ads on cbs.

  21. Prancer Says:

Um, can I just say, these ads are NOTHING like the show whatsoever. I saw some ads on a bus in NYC with the words "Every Parents worst nightmare" and I thought to myself "What the hell? Who's worst nightmare, do they mean worst nightmare in the sense that this show sucks ass because that's all I can think about..." Then I saw a similar ad with the words "This show is nasty" and my sister commented "Why would they put that in an ad? If a critic says that, isn't that bad?" THAT made my day. Sorry, I know you all love this show and I can respect that, but I just think these ads reek of desperation. We all know Gossip Girl isn't doing well, and despite what they'd love for you to believe, this show is not a "Sex and the City" aimed for teens, it just... it just sucks.

  22. Sandra Says:

You're all immature babies. Obviously if your mom controls what you can and can't watch, you shouldn't be watching in the first place! The ads are just to get people talking, and it's doing a fine job. I mean, some old lady even posted in response to the ads! (Yes Jesus freak, I mean you. You're obviously old. Get over yourself and go back to yelling at people to stay off your lawn or something.) Anyways, for all of you who think the ads are too sexy, grow up already. The ads are only going to be more provocative as the seasons go on, because everytime a new ad campaign comes around, you all can be counted on to start complaining about it. Remember the golden rule of public relations: Any publicity, positive or negative is good publicity, and no publicity is bad publicity. You really want the CW to tone the ads down? Stop talking about them. As long as the ads get a reaction, the ads will continue to be just as scintillating as ever.

  23. .:~Lauren~:. Says:

I kind of agree with Sandra, but I LOVE the new ads.....Prancer ur obviously too old to watch the show so go find a pile of dirt. U don't have to watch the show! These are just ads..if u already know u won't watch the show then don't talk about the ads!

  24. julien Says:

I completely agree with Patrick! I LOVE the first one and I would like so much to ave it as a poster.I discovered gg 5 days before the second season started on the cw but i've had seen this poster before and I felt like I was missing what seemed to me a pretty interesting show and I was right. It's true that showing serena and nate together wasn't that smart since at that point of the show they weren't together anymore but it's spicy. The second one is good too but less attractive

  25. Brett Faulkner Says:

To be honest: I really don't think using sex as an ad compaign is something to be ashamed of. Regardless of whether or not it's a show for teens. And it says a lot about our world when a company can put out a sexual ad without watering it down. It shows that our world and country are finally able to take sexuality seriously and accept it for what it is: natural(except for those ass-backwards people who are STILL unable to accept the fact that teens have sex . . . and a good majority of them have A LOT OF SEX. which isn't a bad thing at all) Sexuality is nothing to be scoffed at or looked down upon. And those who do are simply uncomfortable with their own sexualities.
