Okay, I really, really, really don't want to make this sound mean, but I think Aubrey's making this up. I mean, Blair and Dan? I've heard from several places, and the common theme is that Blair and Chuck will be the center of season 2. They aren't going to end that fast. These spoilers are way too detailed to be real, no matter how good of a friend your mom is with Josh Schwartz. I think he's a little smarter than to give away pretty much the whole season in one sitting. I'm just saying...
And while I really hated the ending they chose (I think they should have just left it at the end of the wedding or something, it was like they were just creating random cliffhangers), I don't like the alternate at all. I mean, as much as I dislike Bart Bass, I don't want him to die! I mean, poor Chuck! And Carter Baizen sucks. No one wants him around. But...the good thing about this was it would be more easily explained to Blair and more forgiveable than Chuck and Amelia...doing whatever they end up doing (hopefully nothing...Chuck does still have a conscience, right?) but still. I think it was okay the way it was, even though CB should have been left on a good note. Stop me from worrying all summer :) But no death, please. Especially not of Chuck's dad. But if it was Georgina...I could deal with that ;) Actually, no. She's manipulative and evil, but she gives me someone to hate, since I used to hate Chuck and now I love him :D :D

OK heres what i think should have happened in the last episode:
it picks up exactly where it left off: D and G walking hand in hand :( down the street
S jumps out from behind a shop or bush or something (i dunno!) and bitch-slapped (or punched!) G in the face
S grabs D and tells him everything, and then they sort of (not really, temporarily) get back together, but not the way they were before
C fake hooks-up with G, then B and N and D and S all confront her about everything
S and D have a minor fight at the wedding, but then they realise how much they love each other and everything is happy and N gets together with J, B and C go away to tuscany or wherever they were going, but C hooks up with a flight attendent (female, of course) and B catches them and then she and C have another of their wonderful love-hate fights but then C charms her again and thats it! i love a happy ending! but there should be a cliffhanger still, something with rufus and lily perhaps?
but anyway, i absolutely loved the scene with G and B and G's parents, who knew D could be such a bitch ;), and the whole B and C love-hate thingo
*sigh* i dont know what im going to do for the next few months until september,
BTW, no offence to Cecily Von Zeiringer or whatever her name is, the show is way wat better than the books
o and N and S should so not hook up again, neither should B and D
im such a purist!

the original ending was SOOOO much better!!!
there wasn't much drama in the season finale... even though it was still good.. now that i know the original ending.. i am sooooo disappointed.. its not like bart bass was that important anyways... they should have killed him off... sooo much more drama... :(

I think it would have been too similere to The O.C if they had gone with the original. Bart Bass is the Caleb Nichol of New York and it would have been lame if 'Caleb died twice' if you can see my point.
Also the whole wedding thing might get people to think of Julie and Caleb's wedding in The O.C and the whole 'escape from Chuck' thing is also similere to all the escapes in the O.C so maybe they tried to go somewhere different because this show shouldn't get compared to The O.C or any other show for that matter because it's so original, but a lot of people and critics have including myself. I will always love The O.C but Gossip Girl is somehow better.
Anyway, I was pretty pleased with the season finale :)

first off,let me just begin by saying that josh shwartz is a freakin god! between gossip girl and The O.C. (which was the best show on television) he can do no wrong. anyways for some reason i couldnt get to the alternate ending but whatever. i think we all no that the GG finale was a little weaker then expected. there was really no need for the serena/dan breakup. and i agree with whoever said that bart shouldnt die because, yes that would be waaay to much like O.C. but lets face it, this is second season which means that dan and serena are going to be on again off again, find new romances, but hopefully be together by the last few episodes...just like the OC. oh well, its a great show and i hope that it doesnt start to suck after second season like the OC (but first season was absolutely fantastic!)
i wish that blair and chuck part hadn't changed because i hate that chuck stood her up! of course, killing bart would mean that rufus and lily would get together (and the show would be simple, which we all know it can't be!) and then if lily and rufus are together, than that makes things really awkward for dan and serena to get back together. i guess the finale was good and set up some drama for season 2. can't wait!!
