When she is not in high-fashion clothes as Gossip Girl's Serena van der Woodsen, a more casual Blake Lively likes to show off her legs.

Without a doubt, Gossip Girl fashion is all the rage these days - but the show's stars (such as Blake Lively) are fashionable off the set as well!

The Gossip Girl episode "Woman On the Verge" was full of family drama and revenge plotting, and was also a feast for Gossip Girl fashion fans.

It's easy to see where Serena gets not only her good looks, but also her amazing fashion sense (it might be genetics) – her mother, Lily van der Woodsen.

Serena looked stunning as always in an Alberta Ferretti dress (unfortunately sold out – but keep your eyes open it might appear in some sales or vintage sections) and Van Clef and Arpels jewellery (Alhambra Vintage collection – yellow gold and mother-of-pearl, possible to get a similar one here).

Talking about genetics (or her mother’s influence) Serena abandons her usual ‘I-just-found-this-item-two-seconds-ago-somewhere-and-still-managed-to-look-better-than-anyone-in-Manhattan’ and puts on an amazingly chic Lavender label Vera Wang strapless satin gown ($413 on sale, available here).

The Concert

The outfits in this episode have a slightly magically medieval feel to them – above, Serena put on her golden shiny armour in preparation to the battle with the Evil Georgina, while Blair (the only parallel could be with Magician Merlin) decided to chose a more modest outfit of a mastermind behind the plan.

Despite what she thinks about her own magazine covers, this is a girl who can do no wrong, fashion-wise, in our eyes.

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively wore a beautiful blue dress rehearsing a scene for her the show with co-star Chace Crawford.

Then, as she was heading out, a lovely Lively looked just as superb in a more casual outfit: A flowy top and jean shorts.

Gossip Girl beauty Blake Lively graces three magazine covers this month - Vanity Fair, Cosmopolitan and Seventeen.

But according to the New York Posts, her Gossip Girl reps only liked two of the three - Vanity Fair and Cosmopolitan.

"Her camp is not thrilled about her Seventeen cover," said one source. "Her rep felt the Seventeen photo looked nothing like Blake."

Blake Lively's flack continued with another source quoted by the newspaper saying that she was exactly "over the moon" about the Seventeen shot herself. We're curious what you think about it, though ...

The Wedding Day

Even sad and heartbroken, Serena van der Woodsen, the main of honor, managed to outshine the bride by wearing an amazing frock of most fashionable yellow color, with a modern-daring touch of black accessories.

Meanwhile, what should one wear to stand out at a wedding, but in such a way that no one will mix you up with the bride? Pink. This definitely worked for Blair Waldorf – Chuck could not take his eyes off her!
