Dan has a new female admirer - until Blair Waldorf has something to say about that. Also, Nate tries to figure out what's up with Vanessa, and Chuck is... well, Chuck.

MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!
Okay, is it just me or does anyone else think it was stupid how Serena suddenly becomes evil? Just a plot device to create more drama with Serena/Dan and Serena/Blair.
Nate's reasons for breaking it off with Vanessa were pretty weak too. And how on earth could Vanessa have reasoned that telling Catherine's husband about the affair with Lord Marcus would have put Nate in a better situation?!
And how could Chuck have possibly known that making Serena jealous would have caused her to de-throne Blair??
As much as I like the show, I feel as if the writing is getting more and more implausible with every episode.

kisskas - i don't think you can really blame serena, it wasn't so sudden. she had tried to reason with him throughout the entire episode, and all he did was shoot her down the whole time and continue to humiliate her, even if he did know it was wrong. you know how dan is, on his high horse and all...

I am still getting over the fact that Chuck has set up Dan and Amanda. Man, he really wants S to be queen. I hope with S as Queen we can see more Chuck and Blair action.

remember last season when blair kind of fell from her "throne" after being exposed about the chuck/nate ordeal? chuck's so genious to have serena become the new "queen" so that blair will focus more on chuck, like she did after everyone stopped talking to her for awhile in season one. like i said before, so effing GOOD. i'm so excited for this season to play out

that's not fair...they give everything to serena....on the show she is suppossed to be "prettier" than Blair, nicer than Blair, but being Queen B is Blair's thing, that's the only good thing that hapened to her and know they are going to take that away from her????.....and in this episode blair was doing everything to help serena and that's how she thanks her!!!...they always try to make blair jelous of serena and never the other way around.
....not watching GG anymore....

yea i hate serena as queen and if blair didnt pay attention 2 chuck until AFTER she got her throne back and serena as queen sucks ass i feel so bad 4 blair she cant trust any of her frriends and chuck who "loves"her destroyed her which was pointless because once she finds out and she will find out she'll get pissed at him so itll backfire in his face

i'm jealous of the canadians :) watching it sunday night...
anyway that's the point have serena be the ideal one. leighton is awesome everyone knows that... but promos from next episode show blair lashing out as serena... and honestly i dislike serena that bitchy. i mean she makes it work for her but still blair did the queen with class... serena just is fake nice and flat out mean :(
still a dan and serena shipper too... she was much much nicer when she was with him and dan is all drama queen now it stinks :(

I think Dan was totally holding Serena back. But I don't think it's a good reason to just all of a sudden start acting that bitchy. i mean i love her sudden change of attitude.. i mean it makes the show interesting, espically next weeks promo! but its not going to last, she will relize the error of her ways eventually!

oh my god.. it's sound like weird that serena become a bitchy Queen. I really like Blair as Queen and i don't like they put serena as like as B. It's sound complicated!
i watch a spoiler of Episode 5 and i hate see Serena act like that! i agree that's not fair...they give everything to serena.

Ok seriously I thought tonight was awesome! In the books Serena was so interesting and fun and I'm glad we're finally going to see that side of her. And she was not mean to Blair, she didn't take anything from Blair. Serena didn't tell those girls to stop worshiping Blair she simply said from now on everything goes through me-probably meaning more of everything involving Dan goes through her. This is who Serena is. If you've read the books you know that Serena is the true queen and Blair is always trying to figure out what it is about Serena that everyone adores. The show didn't make Serena this way, she was intended to be this way. And in all honesty, this needed to happen to shake things up. Give it time, Serena will realize that she doesn't actually care about being on top(just like in the books) and her and Blair will eventually learn to co-exist. But franly I loved it I think it's awesome that we are actually going to see what Serena can really accomplish and who she used to be. Last season they promised that we would see the old Serena and we never really did so this should be fun and I say let Queen S Reign!

QueenSwillReign pretty much nailed it down.
I mean, I know it's hard to see the "queen" title going to Serena, but consider how boring and tiresome it would be to see Blair as queen forever. Sure, it's all she supposedly has, but taking that away from her would be perfect for her character development. I love Blair just the way she is, but I was disappointed that she didn't even gain much from her fall last season. There's also the Chuck and Blair action almost everyone has been wanting... This will definitely give them the chance to clash, all other interferences aside. Two very manipulative people, 1 on 1. And we all know how that will eventually go down. :)
I really think it's interesting that we're being given the chance to see the old (or "true," as Chuck so lovingly puts it) Serena. It definitely calls for some shake-ups and some real memorable moments. We all know that everyone will fare well in the end.
