Gossip Girl Fashion Breakdown: The Ex-Files
This week's episode of Gossip Girl, "The Ex-Files," was tremendous in just about every way - not the least of which was its fashion! What kind of school would allow uniforms like these? An awesome school, that's what. But anyway ...
Our Gossip Girl fashion contributor, the fabulous Liza L., breaks down the episode's couture in her weekly column below ...

In this episode, Blair uses a beautiful selection of accessories to add to her school uniform, one of which is a beautiful Jennifer Behr headband ($525, here), worn with a Chanel cape (presumably). In this picture, she adds the flavour with a gorgeous Chanel scarf.
Serena, on the other hand, dresses it all down – simply sexy: French Toast Plaid Pleated Skirt ($15, here) and French Toast Plaid Full Make Tie ($4, here).
But even if Blair is Queen B, and Serena is the most popular girl in NYC, the other girls are high-fliers as well. Look at Penelope's LAMB multi stirling bag ($495, here).
In case you thought school unis were all we're gonna get now that summer's over, just wait until next week ... when the gang goes to Fashion Week!

totally retracting my last comment...
i went on a site to look at her headbands but they're only look-a-likes; not the real thing.
to my dismay, i read something online that told me that most of the stuff on this episode was created by the show's stylist: the green dress Serena wore, Blair's blue headband, and Jenny's top she wore to the fashion show.
so i have a feeling that Blair's red headband is included with that category...bummer.

actually wrong again.
apparently the headband is made by Susan Daniels but Blair's just had brass wiring.
i dunno...they still kind look different to me. Susan Daniels should start making them with the brass wire cos I think it looks better.

Does anyone know the make of Blair's read handbag at the end of the episode? Some have said it's Gianfraco Ferre but I searched and searched and it's not sold anywhere? Is it maybe another brand?

Hey Guys n girls,
Can u help me out in finding the messenger bag Dan was wearing with a suit on, in 'New Haven can wait'. They show the brand at 27th minute (34th second) of the episode. BUT I have it on Itunes which is not clear enough !!
Please, please help your fellow GG. I would owe you a mega-Ton if anybody lets me know
