An Interview with John Patrick Amedori
Starting October 27, John Patrick Amedori is set to appear as Aaron Rose, a new love interest for Blake Lively’s character, Serena van der Woodsen.
The Maryland native, 21, talked to People magazine about it ...
Q: Tell us about your character, Aaron Rose.
JPA: He’s definitely a part of that Upper East Side [world]. I think he’s got a lot of money. But he chooses not to be around that. He probably lives on the Lower East Side or in Greenwich Village.
Q: How does he get involved with Serena van der Woodsen?
JPA: He has an art show at Dan’s father’s (Rufus Humphrey's) gallery. Serena goes to see Dan. He takes notice of her and remembers her from camp. She doesn’t remember him at first. That’s pretty much how they start talking.
Q: There are pictures of you kissing Blake Lively in Times Square with everyone watching. What was that like?
JPA: It was crazy. At first, Blake and I were nervous. When I walk in front of the camera, I kind of block everything out and it’s just Blake and me doing the scene. [Then] you realize our faces are as large as possible on this JumboTron and reality sets in.
Q: Was that the characters’ first kiss?
JPA: That was the first on-camera kiss for the relationship.
Q: What did you do to prepare?
JPA: I chewed gum.
Q: Is fresh breath a priority?
JPA: Absolutely.
Q: What was it like meeting the cast for the first time?
JPA: I’ve known Penn Badgley for a few years. We used to audition against each other. We have mutual friends and we used to hang out a bit. It was kind of a reunion and just catching up. In that sense, it was more comfortable to be around new people. Everyone’s really nice, really cool. They don’t make me feel like an outsider, which is fortunate for me.
Q: Were you nervous kissing Blake, whose real-life boyfriend is Penn?
JPA: Yeah, a little bit. It’s work and Penn and Blake have had to kiss other people on the show. They’re pretty much used to it now, knowing that it’s work. There wasn’t really anything really awkward. We just knew it was work and we had to do it.
Q: Have you had a chance to bond with the cast off set?
JPA: Yeah, absolutely.
Q: What kind of things have you been able to do offset?
JPA: Penn, Blake and I went out and got some food, walked around [Manhattan's] lower west side, talked and hung out.
Q: Did you get a taste of how the Gossip Girl frenzy — how they deal with with the fans and paparazzi?
JPA: Just a little bit. When we shoot on location, it’s an interesting sight. It’s something I’m definitely not familiar with. They don’t hassle me. They only hassle Blake, and Penn [and others]. They’re really, really good about it. It’s definitely an experience.
Q: What else can you tell us about where Serena and Aaron’s relationship is going?
JPA: I think they both start to fall kind of hard for each other.

I think Aaron is supercute though JPA was cuter in Stick It but whatever. I think this will be good for Serena. I still want to see her with Nate. N+S 4 life!

aaw c'mon guys...don't be too harsh on him. I think he's great. and he seems really on ground. The Darena tandem might take a little rest for awhile. This could be a good start for a freshener. Let's just see what happens next.
I dunno, but i read from a couple of spoilers that this guy over here is Blair's Step brother. Son of Cyrus Rose...and who [Aaron] has an unrequited love for Blair. Funny. I'm not so sure if this spoiler from a tv show spoiling site is telling the truth. But hey, if this happend, then I can tell its going to be a great show! Expect more catfights from S & B.

Seriously.. Josh.. this is bad. I didn't say this John guy is ugly, but.. c'mon man.. Serena should be with Dan. I never saw kinda pure & sweet love like they have before.. (in movie or television history)
I think this 2nd season become a Laughable seasons.. I miss all episodes at 1st season.

I think that serena and aaron will start dating.. Then eleanor will meet cyrus and they will get serious and decide to have their families meet. then i think that aaron will develop a crush on blair and become distant with serena while thinkin of blair all the time. blair of course will not like him back tho cause that is practically incest.. And i think that aaron will become obsessive about blair and like in love with her and there will be a whole bunch of crazy shit that happens. I hope all that happens.. it would give a bunch more twists and drama to the show and even some scarriness like when georgina was around!
