1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
DANdy: Any Chuck-related pun is guaranteed to earn my vote for this question. Hence, my guffaw when Blair responded to Dan's inquiry about Chuck leaving abruptly with: "Like a Bass out of Hell."
Mister Meester: Dan's genuinely baffled "Wow. Someone loves Chuck Bass."
Gossip Guy: It's time to return my weekly quote response to Chuck. It was choice when Blair asked him if he liked her new scent and he responded with "Smells a little like desperation." Well played, my boy.
2. Chuck and Blair have come to an understanding - so what happens next?
DANdy: I don't know. I can't wait to tune in to Gossip Girl next week and find out!
Mister Meester: Chuck Bass: Getting drunk, chasing massive amounts of no-regrets tail, and feeling generally empty inside. Blair Waldorf: Taking out her frustrations on the girls on the steps for wearing tights as pants and other offenses.
Gossip Guy: I guess Chuck goes back to being a manwhore and we Chair fans are sad? Maybe it's just the Chair fan in me, but I think it can happen!
3. More unrealistic: Nate mysteriously appearing everywhere (Vanessa style!) or high schoolers blatantly getting sloshed (on martinis at times, no less) in bars.
Mister Meester: Gossip Girl viewing requires - and is enhanced by - suspending reality in part. Sure, no kids I know sip martinis at swanky clubs, but that's part of the fun. As for Nate, though? It seemed like the show had no idea what to do with him in this episode and just buzzed him when needed.
Gossip Guy: DO NOT EVER COMPARE ANYONE TO VANESSA! Sorry for yelling, I had to get that off my chest. Now where was I? Nate just showed up to Eleanor's on the way to school? Is that on the way? (-5) Oh yeah, and how did Nate know where the sleazy photographer lived? (-5) Pff, and I hardly find high schoolers getting drunk at bars unrealistic. (+5) Now when it was me in high school it would have been buying beers from a drive-through liquor store. Yeah, we have those in Florida.
DANdy: As long as Nate keeps appearing with his shirt off, he can be anywhere he wants to be!
4. Should Serena date Aaron?
Gossip Guy: Is Aaron a cute nickname you've given Dan? If so, yes.
DANdy: No. First a writer, now an artist? If you're gonna be a trophy wife, S, you gotta choose someone whose profession might actually pay the bills.
Mister Meester: Not a big fan of this Aaron Rose fellow, at least not yet. Sure, he's nice enough, but I feel like he's trying too hard to be edgy and artsy. You know his vision is 20/20 and those glasses are just part of the "look."
5. Now, the inevitable ... Nate and Jenny: Surprisingly hot? Not believable? Just plain creepy? All of the above? Discuss!
Gossip Guy: OMG. Eww. Just plain creepy. Nate looks like he's in his 20s and I don't care how much makeup Jenny puts on, she looks 12. I feel like a pedophile just watching.
DANdy: Nate and Jenny have now exchanged more saliva with one another than words. I'd buy John McCain Futures before I bought these two as a believable couple.
Mister Meester: What a horndog Nate is. Man. This makes Serena, Blair, Catherine, Vanessa, a random Yale co-ed and Jenny in a season and a half we've watched this glorious program. If he's trying to set some sort of record, more power to him... creep. (Thanks, S, for the reminder - it's hard to keep track)

omg i am so sad
that episode was so good
and the part with C and B was so cute
but i never think that they will be together and i have to say i am kind of glad
they would be such an odd couple
but i still love them together idk what i want them to be
i wonder what is going to happen

I have to say, I love Blair's, "Like a Bass out of hell" quote. Priceless.
2. Chuck and Blair have come to an understanding - so what happens next?
I don't know about them, but I know I was screaming in frustration. Kay, they can't say the "L" word but when are they going to just do it?! Ugh.
3. More unrealistic: Nate mysteriously appearing everywhere (Vanessa style!) or high schoolers blatantly getting sloshed (on martinis at times, no less) in bars.
It's hardly odd that Nate would be at the art show, considering he now lives with the Humphreys. And he could have just followed them or asked Aaron where Max lives. Now what I don't understand is why all of a sudden Nate wants Jenny. There was no story line with that all, no plot, NOTHING. Just BAM Nate and Jenny hook up. Yeah, right. I want details that lead up to this, for real. And since when does little Jenny Humphrey know how to actually make out with a boy? Let alone Nate Archibald. I'd be a quivering mess if I were her.
4. Should Serena date Aaron?
No. Ugh, he's weird. And he rides a motorcycle? Ew. And had another girl with him after he just got done trying to play it with Serena? Trashy! And another thing, did anybody notice how Aaron's "style" resembles Johnny Depp a bit? The scarf, the glasses, the messy hair....Not that I mind, cuz Johnny Depp is my Prince Charming, but it's just a little....unoriginal. Oh well.

I thought they look pretty darn good together, to be honest. I really like Jenny, or at least I used to. I don't know what the hell has gotten into her now, but bagging Nate definitely gives her mad props from me. Now, when I think about the fact that he saw her in her bra (this girl really IS 15!!! Sick) and he's what 18? And she's 15. That's just....wrong. Morally wrong. If he sleeps with her, well hell. Pedophiles across America will take a stand. They would be a super cute couple IF and only if Jenny were older. Otherwise, it's just kind of sick. Plus, Dan let Nate stay with them to help him and Nate returns the favor by hooking up with his little sister? Way to go Nate, screwing things up AGAIN.

DON'T GIVE UP ON CHAIR!! they are the hottest couple on the show! The tease will go on a bit longer, c'mon this is a teen TV show. But the writers have a great opportunity to ditch the tired cat-and-mouse 'relationship will never work' story line, and show us that an unlikely couple can actually be together and overcome their personal demons! Like Tim Gunn says they can MAKE IT WORK!

I am a big "chair" fan, they are so destined to get together, and i think that on the last episode they will, its such a shame that we have to wait that long!!! Oh My Effin God!!! i love "chair"!!!!

All I know is they need to give us a little more then 2 seconds of making out!!!!

EW NO!!! Under his long hair he was kinda cute, but the glasses? NO WAY!! he's boring, and HE RODE OFF ON A MOTORCYCLE WITH SOME OTHER CHICK!! I'm not a fan of aaron and serena but that was a terrible thing of him to do! i hope she never dates him! And when will dan and serena see that they are meant to be together. i understand why they broke up (sort of) but as the season goes on it feels so wrog not having them together!

Nate appearing everywhere is weird. I mean how did he know where J and Agnes went? Kids at bars is no biggie, hear about it all the time. But nate, he's not magical like that! They probably didn't have anything for him do but wanted him in there so they gave him vanessa power.

Blaire is against the idea of her mother with Cyrus Rose a new man in her life and does everything in her power to make it impossible for them to be together. Jenny and Agnes move in together. Serena and Aaron fall for each other but something about Aaron threatens to ruin their new relationship. Dan and Chuck are at war due to Dan's true interest in his father Bart Bass. that is the episode guide for bonfire of vanity

It did kind of seem like the writers were trying to make you think about those to together and i think they would be really cute not for like the whole season but just for a whil who knows we migh tlike them together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah i have to agree with all the people who said B and D will get togehter i think that it will make the show really interisting and kind of change thinks up from the norm BS stuf. Some people may not like the thought of those to togethr but i think its going to happen!!!!!!

I really hope they don't put dan and blair together!
they'd be way to weird, they don't match at all! they're ok as sort of friends, but if dan was already judgmental with serena, imagine how he'd be with blair!
plus i really don't think he'd date serena's bff, you can see he still cares about her he wouldn't hurt like that!
and i read some spoilers about dan hooking up with aaron's ex-girlfriend. serena'll introduce them in ep 12.
also think that's the ep chuck and blair will get together!

Blair and Chuck should go for it instead of waiting cuz it could be too late for one of them! I think nate actually cares about Jenny. I think the kiss was when Jenny was caught in the moment.

Hmm. D + B does seem a little far-fetched, although the show has a tendency of creating unpredictable couples. I do think, though, that D + B would never last, even if a hookup ever occurs. However, C + V, on the other hand, would be interesting to watch, as well as N + J. ;D

Well, I have to go with "Like a Bass out of hell"-such a classic, almost as good as "Damn that mother chucker!"
2. Chuck and Blair have come to an understanding - so what happens next?
They show us a few episodes of how tortured they are, and then it dies down. Just when it has almost blown over, they get together in the last episode-so obvious!

Neither of them really, i mean, Agnes or whatever her name was is old enough, and Jenny was with her and looking sort-of 18, so why not? And Nate is living with them for christsake, so he is obviously going to be everywhere in Brooklyn- just be thankful that they have finally found an excuse!

NO WAY!!!! I am such a Derena fan, and will actually get on a plane to new york and stop it myself if I need to (I am slightly dramatic about this topic :P)

Surprisingly I didn't really find it hard to believe. I mean, some time has elapsed between last episode and this one, so they have had some time. And I mean, there was always something there, even last series he was always looking out for her. So it wasn't that big a surprise. And I kinda like it, this way they all pair off- Dan&Serena, Blair&Chuck, Nate&Jenny, Lilly&Rufus (Bart WILL be the one dying in the next couple of episodes), and Vanessa off all by herself, alone. Just how it should be =)
