Gossip Girl Spoilers: Derena, Jenny and a Funeral Update

In addition to Derena's future and Jenny's rebellion, the Gossip Girl spoiler Jessica Szohr first mentioned - the upcoming death on the show - is discussed, and it looks like we may have our winner (or, perhaps loser is more accurate) ...
Q: I'm hating Jenny on Gossip Girl. Will she ever go back to being tame?
A: Not by a long shot. Dropping out of school was only the beginning, and I'm hearing the words "hostile takeover" are in her future. It happens around episode nine and will make you feel like you did nothing at all when you were 15.
Q: Will Dan and Serena ever get back together?
A: Not anytime soon, but their parents might... Rufus (Matthew Settle) and Lily (Kelly Rutherford) will get closer, from what I hear.
Q: OMG! Is it true someone is dying on Gossip Girl?! Tell me everything!
A: My infallible Magic 8 Ball says: It's happening in November, and I can tell you that the character who dies is male and that he is a third wheel whose death just might clear the way for a long-awaited couple to get together.
Meanwhile, EW's Michael Ausiello claims it is one of these five: Vanessa, Bart, Nate, Rufus or Georgina. Hmm. If we now know it's a male character, we're really starting to narrow it down, aren't we? Tell us what you think!

I think it is bart because lily and rufus because the death might clear the way for a long-awaited couple to get together.

I got a feelings its Bart, but I don't find it a good idea to kill him because then Chuck would have lost both of his parents.

It has to be Bart because Nate isn't standing in the way of any couple getting together. Dan doesn't have feelings for Vanessa so that's possibility is out of the question.

has anybody ever noticed that in the credits, it says
guest starring robert john burke, who plays bart
emphasis on the guest. also this way lily and rufus can be closer, and he wont stand in their way anymore. they could never kill vanessa rufus or nate, anyway, cuz theyre too important, and michelle trachtenberg said that there werent going to be any episodes for georgina anyway. its deeeefinetly bart.

totally going to be bart...now that they showing the good side of bart bass..and him dying would create the most intresting story lines. too bad for chuck and lily... hope they dont hook lily up with rufus too soon!!

It's definitely Bart and that actually works out for the rest of the story lines because it frees Chuck up to buy that building and be the head of Bass Ind. and that's how he'll end up getting with Vanessa.

It's totally Bart - and although he was well behaved this last episode (at least with the Van Der Woodsens), I say good riddance, and Lily and Rufus can get on with their lives :)

I love Rufus and Lily, but this makes me sad for Chuck. I hope that Lily still acts like the good stepmom she's been with him, he'll need it. I am excited more R&L, though!!

But why are they killing off Bart Now?
Does anyone else remember that the writers were going to kill him off in Season 1's finale (Chuck on his way to the airport and sees Lily by a car accident) but thought he was good for the storyline.
It just seems weird to me that they would tell us about that last season and then change their minds.....

Just as I was kind of starting to like Bart too. I hope there is some kind of resolutin to his relationship with Chuck before they kill him off. Chuck is already brooding enough.
And I know I'm in the minority, but if Jenny could just stay the way she was last night, I'd totally be on board! I love that she has more edge this season rather than being the little follower she was last year. She has way more confidence...I just wish there was a balance and it wasn't over-confidence.

what if the slip-up was a plot...making us believe that it was bart and then the next thing we know that it was rufus? hehe
nah...its just some crazy idea i got. don't mind it.
and hello for the writers?! ...having nate or rufus kick the bucket is definately off the show's aim to last for seasons...
that's just crazy...and of course, my bet is on bart.

poor Chuck...He's going to be devestated. :( and I was actually hoping after last night that Lily and Bart could really make this work. also, I do hope that Bart at least starts to mend his and C's broken relationship before... :[

It is probably Bart. But I think thats too obvious. It could be Rufus maybe?
