I HAVE HIGH REGARD WITH THE GOSSIP GIRL STARS LIKE BLAKE AND PENN BUT FOR THEM TO ENDORSE OBAMA WOW HMM HOPE THEY OPTED TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO JUST VOTE AND NOT ENDORSED

What an inspirational video. It made me feel great inside. I don't come from America, i live in Australia and here its compulsory to vote, i think its a great honor to vote for who runs your country, because it's true no matter what anyone says or thinks one person voting can change everything.

:S

I like the first one, the second.... not so much. They should have just stopped with the first, Obama kind of sucks. GO MCCAIN. :]

As a proud young American adult I am completely offended by this! I am sick and tired of these damn celebs telling me and the American public who to vote for! Who I vote for is MY personal decision. I will NOT be suaded by them. I know they have opinion like everyone else voting but keep it to yourself and amongs your family and friends. THink for yourselves America! Note to hollywood if you don't want to get bashed by the public then keep your mouths shut.
October 15th, 2008 2:13 PM
pls who sang the song for the first video?
October 15th, 2008 2:37 PM
I thought the second one with Penn and Blake was pretty funny.
btw... i didn't see Ed in the first one, was he really in it or did i miss him?
October 15th, 2008 2:38 PM
Theresa, as a proud young American adult, perhaps you should allow celebrities (and anybody else) the freedom to voice their opinion without being told to "keep [their] mouths shut". As such you are allowed to share your annoyances here; but you kind of need to calm down. Unfortunately, sensitivity to being offended is another strong American trait...
October 15th, 2008 2:52 PM
Excuse me! I said they can have their opinions like everyone else. We all do. I just can't stand being told who i should vote for.
October 15th, 2008 3:07 PM
Okay. Sorry they can voice there opinions to the public to just i can't stand that they fell the need to tell me that i have to vote for somebody. They want Obama. I am sure they have there reasons. Then fine that doesn't mean I have to vote for him. I am deciding who I think is best for me and my family, and country.
October 15th, 2008 3:24 PM
Right on! I agree that the first PSA was much better in that it merely suggested to VOTE rather than suggesting who to vote for. The second on was okay though - they can say what they want to and we'll choose whether or not to heed their advice. Hey, take it from Serena: "Consider it a suggestion." Haha
Anyways, the first one should have had more of Ed! I know he's not American and so he doesn't really have anything to do with our election at all - but I love listening to him speak with his native accent!!!

You are certainly entitled to your own opinion, Theresa. But they are not making you vote for them. No one is going to force you to vote for anyone you don't want to. You can vote any way you want. All they're doing is merely voicing their opinions, just as you voiced yours.
October 15th, 2008 4:22 PM
Lena, I understand that. I know that they aren't forcing anybody to vote for him but they don't need to encourage it either.
October 15th, 2008 4:27 PM
ugggghhh, blake and penn just lost some points for me. of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but its still annoying when all these stars are going "vote obama!"
like when i was watching making the band 4 live yesterday, diddy and aubrey(i doubt she even knows a single thing about politics) was screaming "vote obama." right then, i just turned the tv off.
October 15th, 2008 4:44 PM
How did this comment section for two funny videos about voting turn into the new Page Sixs for politics. Who cares about who they enDorsing for the key message they tryna get out if GO VOTE.
October 15th, 2008 4:52 PM
Page Six of politics. That is interesting but politics do get ugly. We all know that. Whatever. The debates are on tonight. Is anyone watching?
October 15th, 2008 5:14 PM
Obamma :)!!
yaaay!
October 15th, 2008 5:19 PM
I'll def be watching, Theresa. This is my first election I can vote in and I'm excited about having my vote count.
I like the first vid but hated the second. I think it's fine for people to say who they are going to vote for and then give me reasons why they think they are the better candidate, but to blatantly tell me to vote Obama and "never vote Republican" is ridiculous. I am an Independent but there have still been some good Republican politicians, as well as Democratic. give me a break....
sorry, that's kind of one of my pet peeves, but I'm over it now. :P
October 15th, 2008 5:47 PM
Riley I am glad that this is your first election. You must be excited. I do agree with what you said. I am an independent to. Why? Because I am on the fence with alot of the issues. It's hard. As for who I am voting for I prefer not to say but that is just me.
October 15th, 2008 5:55 PM
okay. i understand all yall are saying even though i am a few months short of being able to vote in the upcoming election, i felt i should share something...
Both candidates Obama and McCain are posting ads that basically say "Vote for me" so you can't just bash Obama for having celebs on a commercial for him because McCain has got them too... he just doesn't flaunt them as much. Don't get me wrong I am a Republican and I would vote for McCain if I could, I just think before you go accusing one candidate of something, you should check out what your candidate is doing also.
October 15th, 2008 7:30 PM
first of all i think the second video was just funny..and i think yall need to loosen up. But i have to admit i love blake and penn even more for the second video cause iam voting for obama in the november elections. but if they had endorse mccain i dont think there would have been nearly as negative comments. Vote for who you want in november if your'e naive enough that a celebrity can change your mind on who your're voting than thats just sad. research the cadidates because thats what i did no celebrity is forcing to vote for obama in november....
October 15th, 2008 7:55 PM
unfourtunetly there are people out there who wont vote. having their favorite celeb telling them the importance of it might motivate them. I thought the second clip was amazing!!! voting republican again will hurt us. And as parents their job is to not vote for someone who will dig us into a deeper hole(mccain) a vote doesnt just affect 8 years of a country it affects us forever. if people would take 30 minutes out of theor day aa research McCain's plan as president and all of the lies and dishonest tv ads and all of his plans he is keeping from us he would not stand a chance! OBAMA 08'
October 15th, 2008 10:30 PM
..Is Ed Westwick even an American citizen? haha.
It's still nice advertising with him in it, though.
October 15th, 2008 10:36 PM
im not American but i love how these voting things are going on...love the clips!
