Report: Gossip Girl Spinoff to Feature Young Rufus & Lily
The long-rumored Gossip Girl spinoff will apparently center around younger versions of the characters Lily and Rufus, according to a new report in Star.
“The show will focus on the early romance between Lily van der Woodsen and Rufus Humphrey,” an insider says of the future Gossip Girl spinoff.
“It begins when they first meet, during a time when Rufus and his band are at the height of their career. The show will follow the high society and rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle in New York.”
None of the original Gossip Girl cast members will be leaving the show, says the insider: “two new actors will be hired to play the young Lily and Rufus."
Producers are reportedly planning to introduce the new, younger couple during a flashback scene in an upcoming episode of Gossip Girl this season.
No official announcement has been made, so for now this remains unconfirmed. But what do you think? Would you watch this Gossip Girl spin-off?

Come on, who could think Rufus and Lily are boring!!!they are the main reason I watch the show for!!!they have a lot of chemistry, the actors do a wonderful job, and so much talented than some of the younger ones.....who could want Rufus had been killed off???only a lunatic!!I would love to see a spinoff, but only if they cast them right, Adam Bordy wouldn't make a good Rufus, he always plays a dumb and he's not even that pretty, Rufus is really hot and Matthew does a wonderful job with him, they should cast them really good for it to work!!!!

I think it sounds awesome. I think there is so much history between the two and GG has barely scratched the surface!

I would absolutely adore a Rufus and Lily spinoff! Ashley would be pretty good, I bet. Believe it or not, my fourth grade teacher knew her mom and she's a really good actress, accordingly.
No idea who Adam Brody is, but I will be checking this out! : D

i will definitely pick adam brody as the young rufus!
unfortunately, lily is blonde. otherwise, rachel bilson can play the role of young lily. i miss sethummer!
