i totally agree "wtf?" haha funny name. but ya i think A. its too soon to make a spin off since GG is only in its second season for crying out loud! B. alot of people feel lilly and rufus's story line is boring and i dont believe many ppl will watch a show just about them (especially when we know how they end up...) and C. its just flat out a bad idea! if the writers are absolutly sure on making a spin off they need to wait untill GG has another season or two... its just too soon! plus i would'nt watch it so there! haha

A spin off is when a character (or more) get their own show.
It doesn't mean that the GG is over, it's just that there will be another show as well. It's going to be about Lily & Rufus, like 20 years ago,

Haha, I bet no one would watch it. Because I doubt that the teenage viewers would watch it because they are more interested with Gossip Girl, and I also doubt that Adult and + wouldn't watch it because they don't know a lot about Gossip Girl! I think its a silly idea and that the writers should have checked with the fans (like this forum) if it was a good idea. They are just digging up their own grave...

I don't hate neither Lilly or Rufus, but seriously this is a BAD Idea. I mean Who CARES?! Lets keep the focus on the teenagers i can care less about L & R's past.
They should have been smart and continued the idea of the spin off series about the spin off book series. The It Girl would be a perfect spin off show, and really what is Jenny doing on GG that makes her so prominent that she needs to be on the show. Since there is no more of that train wreck "Good girl gone Bad" fashion designer plot line anymore WHY DOES SHE NEED TO STAY ON THE SHOW? SHE HAS NOT PLOT LINE and right now shes almost about as boring as Nate
The L&R 80's Flashback is going down the tubes already, I wonder how long it will last?

i hate lily. she's wishy-washy, always playing with rufus' heart. she ditched him becaus eher mother told her to. she goes and marries bart even though she was still in love with rufus. so basically she duped bart. she doesn;t know what she wants. she neglected her children while they were growing up. gave up her baby with rufus without ever telling rufus. she's just a terrible person and an all-around effing mess.
alison is so much prettier. rufus should go back to his wife!!

i am excited- but I predicted it so recognize b*****! haha, but seriously, I'll watch it! but i HATE all of the choices that they had above, they just don't really seem lily... you know the hipster chic type thing, they just don't seem fit for the awesome rocker chick! check the forums later- I'LL find someone else!

I find all the negative feedback kind of shocking. I think this could really do well, as long as it's written right! Yes, we do know what happens, but we also know they've gotten back together (at least for right now). I'm excited.

It's probably not really intended for current GG viewers.
There would be no 'gossip girl' since there was no internet, or blogging back then.
I really think it would be a whole new show (which a lot of us 'older' people might enjoy) that just happens to have the same story another show's character's past.
I'm sorry but as someone who was entering elementary school in the 80s I would like to watch it, these characters will represent the teenagers we aspired to be as youngsters (not always a good thing mind you).
It's sex drugs and rock and roll, who doesn't like it, no matter what year or state it's in?

I would probably watch it just because of Gossip Girl. But come on, it just won't be particularly interesting. It won't get good ratings. We already know that Lily and Rufus break up. What more is there to know about Lily van der Woodsen anyway? Personally, I'm not for this.

I don't really like the idea, but I think that a lot of people will end up watching it, whether they like the idea or not, bcz its a spinoff of gg. But I don't really love the idea.

Two of the (many) things I like most about Gossip Girl are the current fashion, and the setting in NY. This show will have neither. I especially am not interested at all in another show set in CA. I typically like Lily and Rufus, but don't think a spinoff will do anything for me.

I don't think that this is a very good idea...They should first consider how many from the gg audience would be intrested in watching a spinoff with young Lily&Rufus!There better be a hot stuff & loads of drama for me to watch it!!!
