OK so my theory is, Chuck misses the dinner but then changes his mind and wants to leave Jack and the girls. Jack tells Chuck something happened between them on New Years and Chuck gets mad. I think it's Chuck who is holding the flowers since if you look very carefully you can see the arm of the person holding it it wearing the same color suit that Chuck is wearing in the promos. I think Blair has that look on her face in the end of the promo because Chuck tells her he knows what happened on New Years.

ok, but I was thinking that sense in one of the pictures for the next episode Blair is wearing the same outfit that she's wearing when CHUCK gives her the flowers at the beginning of the show and says he's sorry and they schedule to have a romantic dinner but then Jack persuades Chuck to ditch Blair (from sneak preview 3) and so he does and Blair gets mad and then they leave everyone hanging for the next episode.
Just a theory! But I hope that it's not true and Chuck leaves the girls and goes and gives the flowers to Blair at the end!!!!

Next morning there is some sort of party at the Palace hotel to celebrate the fact that Chuck is controling most of Bass Industries. Then Jack knowing about the girls Chuck is with in Bart's office calls the Board members to come saying “let’s make it a surprise”. The Board members are looking for Chuck and Blair leads them into Bart’s office where they walk in on Chuck. Blair runs off and the Board members tell Chuck they don’t want him running his part of Bass Industries. Chuck gets upset and figures out it was Jack’s doing and the two get in a fight. Jack then blurts out the thing about Blair and Chuck says “Blair wouldn’t touch you” and Jack says “You should ask her about that”.
But I'm still trying to figure the flower thing out.

i wouldn't have before the episode where he tells blair that limo's are sacred, but now that he has he better not eff this up ...
in terms of jack bass, i agree w/ some of the comments made... he's making chuck look incopetent w/ the whores...i'm sure the other board members will not be impressed with that... clearly blair gets stood up but the arm with the follows has a jacket that matches chuck...do you think that means he apologises and trys to make it up to her? i hope so. chuck and blair deserve a chance ....although the sooner they get together, the more we have to lose.

I think what happens is that-
It starts with the meeting, Chuck, Blair, Jack (ergh) and Nate?
Chuck finds out he will be CEO, runs out, Blair follows and he sees how amazing she is for him and invites her to dinner-maybe to apologize for his poor behavior. (The part where Blair goes into the room with candles may be when she is preparing for such dinner)
They leave each other and after Chuck goes back to the hotel and Jack convinces him to ditch Blair for the sluts, which he does do. But I think maybe he realizes this could be one of his last chances with Blair and therefore decides to go see her when Jack tells him what happened new years (whether it be true or not) that's when Chuck ends up in the limo with the slut, because he's upset.
I think during the episode (maybe at the party) Blair tells someone (Serena?) what DID happen New Years and maybe this person tells Chuck so he goes to apologize to Blair with flowers.
Or Chuck thinking he is loosing Blair goes to try and win her back.
Flowers always mean I'm sorry.

I'm sure Chuck already slept with tons of girls when he was in Thailand, and maybe even those girls at Victrola. Technically he's not really "cheating" on Blair since they're not together, but he's still being a dumbass. But i dont get why so many comments say "omg I hope he won't cheat"... we already know from the promos that he fools around with other girls.

What I would like to happen:
Chuck is having a great time in the limo with Jack & the girls. One of the girls kisses Chuck in the limo.
THEN that makes him have flashbacks of him & Blair's epic limo moment. Then he snaps out of it and goes to Blair's, and that's when he goes up in the elevator and gives her the flowers, as an apology for missing dinner :)

seriously, jack knows what buttons to push with chuck. manipulation is in the genes for the bass men. chuck just needs to wise up and realize the game or else he will lose everything, including blair.
i feel bad for blair. i seriously dont think she had anything to do with jack. whatever happened on new years could be something that blair did on her own that jack just found out. and blair doesnt want chuck to know (what it is we'll all find out on the next episode). i think she just got caught in the crossfire in the fight for the bass empire.
as for dan and serena --- seriously, lily and rufus are the worst parents on this show. lily mostly. if they cared for their kids at all, they wouldnt drag this secret for so long. and rufus shouldnt have asked dan to keep it a secret. its killing him.
the mean girls are funny. they are the comic relief.
i want to see nate on this episode. i dont care at all abt vanessa, sure hope thats the only scene we see her in.

i dont like whats he's doing but he is such a great character. the perfect villain. so shady and a good looking one to boot. desmond harrington looks so much like robert john burke. great casting!

Hey, look back at the original promo and Chuck is wearing something different than the other suits. It's when he says 'Blair wouldn't touch you'. Jack says,'Just ask her'. Wonder what time in the episode he says that and if the flowers for Blair are at the very end.
