Although Gossip Girl gets a ton of publicity and its ratings have gone up a bit in its sophomore season, it's certainly bigger in New York than anywhere else.
Taylor Momsen apparently learned this back home in her native Maryland.
A New York Post spy reports that the teen starlet was at Clyde's Tower Oaks Lodge, an eatery in Rockville, Md., close to where her family lives outside D.C.
There, the star who plays Jenny Humphrey "was having dinner with her dad," said the source, "and a lot of people were there, but nobody recognized her."
Even so, when the 15-year-old actress/model got up to leave, the fellow diner said, "Taylor made a huge scene covering her face and trying to duck behind her dad ... even though nobody in the restaurant seemed to notice her."
A far cry from having your photo taken every single day while you're on the set - or even riding the subway - and having it posted online, Gossip Girl style!

So emberrasing that she tried to cover herself up and made a big scene, when no one cared! She's used to NY where she gets lots of attention. For the people who don't know exactly who she is, they must think "God, does she think she's a huge star or something". She is, but maybe not there:P

I live in the DC area, and the thing is, in our area, the power players are famous political and military figures. It's a more serious town, and important dignitaries are always here, so no one's going to care if she's around, even if they did recognize her in some way. I mean, she's a 15-year old actress on a CW show..

Haha!
Bet she thought she was SO cool!

she's still young and i'm sure she has a common look off the show. 15yr old with blonde hair. not to mention i'm sure she didn't cause a big stink. the restaurant is probably eexaggerating.

she must really be desperate for attention

Well obviously someone recognized her if they made a story out of it.

hmm well im pretty sure this is exaggerated
and even if it isnt, wouldnt you be careful if you're so used to people screaming your name?
and im sure if she was in a restaurant here in vancouver, canada, she would have gotten a reaction.

I probably would've gone up to her. just to make her feel better since no one else did. hahaha!
