Welcome to the 40th Gossip Girl Insider Caption Contest!

Jenny: Yeah, they're totally hooking up.
Eric: Nah, they're probably just playing dress up with Cedric. After we found out Rufus and Lily used to be lovers, they put on a fashion show for him.
Jenny: Everyone has their way of reconnecting.

Some information culled from CW press releases about the remaining episodes in Season Two. Some of this we already knew, and plenty is still up in the air. You'll know as soon as we find out anything more - and we encourage your intel/tips as well!

Here goes:

March 16, "The Age of Dissonance" - Sebastian Stan (the real-life boyfriend of Leighton Meester) returns for multiple episodes as Chuck's nemesis, Carter Baizen. Follow the above link for a longer synopsis of this episode.

March 23, "The Grandfather" - Carter instantly causes trouble for Chuck and further angers him when he tries his moves on Blair Waldorf. Meanwhile, Vanessa receives an offer from Nate's grandfather that is difficult to refuse.

March 30, "Remains of the J," - As Jenny has second thoughts about her future, Tamara Feldman returns as socialite Poppy Lifton, and Armie Hammer makes his first appearance in the role of Gabriel Serrano, Poppy's boyfriend who sweeps Serena off her feet with a romantic vacation. Both guest stars will appear in multiple episodes.

April 20, "Seder Anything" - Wallace Shawn returns as Cyrus Rose, Eleanor Waldorf's husband.

April 27, "Loose Ends" - Michelle Trachtenberg returns as the manipulative Georgina Sparks for a four-episode arc, taking us through the end of the second season.

May 4, "TBA" - Introduces the love child of Lilly and Rufus, who is indeed alive, and returns to his parents needing to finish his Senior Year of high school.

May 11, "TBA" - No Doubt will appear and perform their song "Stand And Deliver" for the first time ever on Gossip Girl! This episode will also introduce the Gossip Girl spinoff, reportedly starring Brittany Snow, as a "backdoor pilot."

May 18, "TBA" - Season Two concludes.

This isn't the first time we've polled fans on Leighton Meester's hair. Some topics are worth revisiting, though - especially when there is no wrong answer!

Gossip Girl's queen bee got fans buzzing recently by cutting extra-long bangs into the loose waves we are more used to seeing on the gorgeous actress.

Leighton Meester looks better with ...

The CW has posted some new photos on its Gossip Girl page, and although it has not assigned them captions indicating that they are for a particular episode, it appears as though some, if not all are from March 16's "The Age of Dissonance."

If it turns out they're not, we'll move them to the appropriate galleries later on, once those episodes' main pages have been created on Gossip Girl Insider.

We posted some promotional photos from "The Age of Dissonance" earlier in the week, mostly featuring Chuck and Carter. Now here are a dozen more pictures of upcoming Gossip Girl action, including this funny one of an odd pairing - Blair and Dan ...

According to sources, it looks as though Star's report that former American Dreams actress Brittany Snow has been cast in the lead role of Lily van der Woodsen (Rhodes) in the forthcoming Gossip Girl spinoff is indeed accurate.

"Brittany is thrilled," a friend of the actress says.

"She loves the original show and thinks the 1980s concept sets the Gossip Girl spin-off apart from other series on television. She can't wait to wear all the fabulous outfits and really sink her teeth into the role."

Brittany Snow - who has appeared in movies including Hairspray and John Tucker Must Die - was the top choice for producers, who thought she would be the perfect choice for the part of young Lily, played on Gossip Girl by Kelly Rutherford.

She was reportedly offered the role without an audition.

"Brittany always thought she was going to continue her career in films," a source said.

"But this is a marvelous part and she just couldn't say no. This has the potential to be a huge show in the tradition of Melrose Place."

The "backdoor pilot" introducing the show will air as part of the Gossip Girl episode May 11 (episode 2.24, which will air one week before the Season 2 finale).

UPDATE: Michael Ausiello of more-reliable EW reports that Snow has indeed emerged as the front-runner for the role, though it is not 100 percent official.

SECOND UPDATE: Krysten Ritter, who will play Lily's sister Carol Rhodes on the show, confirms to E! that "They just cast Brittany Snow. It's definitely official, and I think I'm the first one to know that. It wasn't official earlier, I saw on the Internet, but now it is official."

We've seen just about every combination of Gossip Girl stars filming in the past week or so: Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick playing basketball, Chace and Leighton Meester strolling and smooching, then Ed and Blake Lively chatting it up.

Georgina Sparks is back on Gossip Girl, and when E! News caught up with her on the set, Michelle Trachtenberg revealed the following interesting tidbit:

"We're filming a scene, it's the first time we see Georgina. She has a little run-in with Chuck Bass, who is in shock at her new attire, getup and demeanor."

According to spies, the big Chuck-Georgina reunion happens in the park when Sir Charles comes upon a group of, um, oddly dressed people at a log cabin.

The assembled young people are all wearing T-shirts that read "OMJC," and one asks Chuck, "Are you a wayward soul in search of direction?"

Right about then, a hippie-looking, creepy, smiley and altogether weird-seeming Georgina pops up and asks if Chuck's been saved as well.

WTF?!

Michelle says, "There are definitely evil elements that Georgina can never leave behind, but you will be seeing a different, let's say reformed, side of Georgina."

What will this mean for Georgina Sparks' relationships with the rest of the Upper East Siders? Once again, let's ask Michelle Trachtenberg herself ...

What's this dapper fellow got up his sleeve this week? We can't say for sure, but he definitely looks more in character here than he did playing basketball.

In this most recent batch of Gossip Girl photos from the show's New York City set, Ed Westwick looks like he's scheming up something. And handsome.

Last week, we posted a promotional poster featuring Serena and Blair in "The Age of Dissonance," the next new episode of Gossip Girl, scheduled for Monday, March 16.

Below is a similar poster - using the same tagline (Two reputations destroyed. Now for the second act ...) for the following week's episode, entitled "The Grandfather."

Could there be some much-anticipated Chuck-Blair drama to come? And what role will the grandfather - presumably Nate's - play in this episode? What do you think?
