I'm pretty sure that Blair calls Georgina to ask for help. There are WAY too many storylines to be concluded before the end of the season. I hope they take advantage of the hiatus that we are currently in and the writers wrap up a few of the storylines so the show can focus on only a few to wrap up the season.

Haluk Cemil, Gabriel Serrano is definetly not a northern european name, actually I think is Spanish. But there are a lot of blonde/blue eyed Spaniards too, at least in Spain.
I think the permanent character they want to bring on the show is Andrew, Serena's half brother, and that won't happen till last episode
