okay.
jenny- give this girl a decent storyline, i actually quite liked her aspiring fashion designer ways but then she got a little sidetracked with that crazy model and went from daddys girl to a complete nightmare. but let her back into elenors atelier and perhaps set up a romance with someone in the fashion industry?? an older man perhasps??
eric- poor guy last season he had the major storyline of trying to committ suicide and coming out and this eason nada for the poor fellow. eric needs something major and i dont know if its a boyfriend or not. i read on fanpop someones idea that serena should get a new boyfriend who actually is scretly gay and then eric and him have an affiar. on first glance it may sound a little far fetched but it would certainly stir up sokme sibling trouble!
the bass-van der woodsens- i wanna see more family interaction specially with the younger ones. i loved chuck and eric as brothers, it would be nice to see serena and chuck helping each other out, preferably in the quest to find or help blair
speaking of that- chair-- my all time favourite screen couple. these are the two most amazing actors on the show and have such a tangible and electric chemistry. please stop with the parting of them and all this adness and fighting. i think a little cb fluff is in order
nate- get this guy away from as blair rightly put it the vanessa troll now! now i say! nate is like the king of the UES and St judes so give him back his crown and a better gf, cos he is getting mighty mighty boring
derena- hook up. or dont. end it or finalise your relationship because none of us can take it any longer! its too boring and reptitive. and if you are going to break up let it be that they dont actually love each other anymore not because the arent going to the same college or for rufus and lilly that is just dumb.
rufus and lilly, lufus or whatever their collective name is- basically this pair were much more fun apart. really together they are boring and we dont get any more glimpses into lilly past or youthful ways or what might have been. this is one pair in comparison to derena or chair that i actually like seperate but maybe that is just me.
and fainlly last but not least
give the boy a school tie and blazer and get him back into St Judes. yes the one and only chuck bass needs to be back at school where he belongs. there he will have more chance of interaction with blair and in general just be a normal kid instead of this crazed dressing like a 50 year old wall street financier. give us back the old chuck PLUS wit his season 1 haircut!

sarahim digging what you`re saying! i think nate is much more interesting with jenny and even with serena! but like seriously GG writers get chuck back to school i wanna see him back in uniform and plotting with B for constance domination!

I agree with most of the article!
Read it the other day, and thought yep this is what needs to happen!
I'm all for Serena & Dan breaking up, they are The most yawn worthy couple, we want party S like we had for a couple of episodes this season. And you know what I wouldn't care if Dan & Vanessa were just kicked out the picture all together (i know outrage right?)
Jenny & Nate need to be together, Nate would be interesting then, but don't want them to get rid of him all together. Chace Crawford is TOO hot to not be there!
I prefered when Chuck & Blair were scheming and plotting, don't get me wrong I LOVE C&B as a couple but kind of prefered it when they weren't acting all Dan & Serena and just whining about it.
There's to much been focused on Rufus & Lily this season, with Rufus acting like a total jackass to everyone. I love them as a couple but its boring.
Bring back these characters...GEORGIE (which is happening!!!!) Jack (he may have been a BASStard but he brought something to the show!) The evil conniving characters also are the best!
They keep bringing in random guest characters..Aaron, Nates cousin, that Gabriel person, the stupid teacher. Season 1 didn't have any of that and it was better for it. Just get the core back together, and get GG back on track!!!
Thats my rant over...sorry for harping on! I love GG and don't want it to go down the pan like The OC did!

My gosh i agree with most of what tvguide said. Fix d/s already, things are getting really boring. I agree so much that it would be nice to have a solid couple amidst all the chaos. And everyone should start hanging out and building relationships, if not whatever message the writers tried to convey in season 1 will sadly go to waste.
I'm not a very big Chair fan, but i do feel sad for them so FIX THEM TOO, at least for awhile.

dan and serena are turning into the carrie and big of this show. ´ and after they broke up for the fiftieth time..` all i can hope is that this new guy treats S abominably, D helps her out of the mess and she realises they are worth giving it everything! meesterfan all your points (cept for derena) are spot on!

ok. so i agree with dani mostly. except i hate derena. they annoy me. alot. and yea. what happened to the sex and the parties and the more high school stuff. i know there trying to make it more dramatic and stuff. but it was better when they were idk, i little bit more normal??

Agree totally with all of the above and especially on dear Chuck. Plus I do love this music this season, I think it has enhanced the show! blairessce- I dont agree however that this season is shaping up to be terrible, Ive really enjoyed it although it needs some tweaking!

derena- two words to sum up this pairing- enough.already. really although miss carr is a bit of a ment-whore at least dan is showing a human, not so perfect side instead of his judgmental, condescending, superior, i can never forgive your past side with serena!
chuck and blair- god i love this pairing. so much. almost as much as i loved joey and pacey on dawsons creek, and let me just say they were the major obssession of my teens. anyway the chuck and blair rollercoaster-seesaw has got to stop. and soon. give this fabulous pair some real interaction and a chance to discover how much they both love each other, the prom would be the perfect setting for their mutual love to finally come together so dont let us down josh!
nate- dear god this boy is boring. seriously boring. and hooking him up with dreadlocks brooklyn girl is not helping his profile. vanessa is also an equally stulifying character and serves not even the tinest purpose on this show. to get rid of nate though would be foolish because chase is loved and adored by legions of female fans so the only solution is to fix this character and quickly before he turns into even more of a giggling vanessa dating duldard than he currently is! nate was the golden boy of the UES, he is Blair´s male equivalent in status so why isnt he to steal a line from Grease ´ruling the school´ in his senior year?
Birthdays- oh i laughed so much in peoples responses to this. I think it was a poster called Bambi who made me laugh most acutely! I know, is Blair the only character getting older on this show whilst the others stay the same, or are we getting all a la Benjamin Button and the characters are receeding into childhood, which might explain Nate and Serena´s recent high levels of childishness and blandness! Tied in with birthdays, is parties, more parties please! I know we had the snowflake ball but that was it this season, in the first few episodes of s1 we had tonnes of parties, nights out and general high school drinking and drugs debauchery! For goodness sake in the pilot Chuck was smoking pot on the way to school (I know he was smoking before he got suspended) but that was in a tragic way, i want more fun reckless behaviour!
The girls on the steps- please, overload with this band of cronies. Nelly Yuki is the only one who adds a little to the story because she backstabbed Blair but really that Penelope chick is getting way too big a role and it scares me that the show would give her so much screentime when it could be devoted to say re-igniting the fun of the non breakfast club, get these four BFFs back together please! ( I will concede however in, not sure which episode but the one where Jenny was trying to help Nelly Yuki escape from the group, Penelope delivered a great line ´The only way she is leaving this group is in a body bag.´ Which Hazel retorted with ´woah tone down the crazy P.´ Liked that :)
Our beloved Bass Jr- Lest we forget chuck used to wear purple, pink, hell he even used to play basketball and he also dandered pervily round the corridors of Constance. Get our guy back in school now. Although he works those sharp suits, let him dress a little younger and please have him back where he belongs! I want him bumping into B in the corridor, insulting Dan on the way to school and in general just being a teenager again!
Jenny- Oh dear dear. This young lady went from innocent Daddy´s girl to Uber Bitch to normal to crazy homeless fashion designer rebel and back again. in like the space of a less than a year. Please give her some decent storylines, with substance. Her fashion career is interesting but build on it. And I liked seeing Jenny try to break into the upper social echelons. plus she needs a friend who´s a girl, Eric who is cute, just wont suffice!
those are just my two cents but i loved everyone else suggestions too! however omar i would have to slightly disagree with you on the music front, i actually think this season´s music has been better, we´ve had White Lies, The Dandy Warhols,Kings of Leon, Guillemots, Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand, Lady Gaga,Jem and Turin Breaks but to mention a few! the OST for this season shall rock my socks!

Serena and Nate should not be together. It just wrong. If they want it, they should have done it in the Summer because they were 'pretending' to be together. it will never happen. plus wont do that to Dan and Serena wont do it again to blair.
Serena and Dan should be together. Vanessa should just be with Jack or something. shes pointless.
Season 1 is way better than season 2

*i wanna see classic drug problems, binge drinking and wild partying
*i like how serena knows how to balance her good girl side and her bad girl side

I forgot to say, why every1 hate v. If anyhting N+J need to go, I really don't ubderstand the reasons behind her hate and personally i luv her quirkiness on the show compared to all the other characters!

Is it me or is season 2 shaping up to be terrible! Season 1 of GG was incredible and most episodes in the season lived up
to their expections. For me season 1 is 100000000000000000000x
better than season 2. Bring back the fun that is what GG is about.

WOW TV GUIDE IS RIGHT ON TRACK!
Serena/Dan - I'm sorry but it was kinda cute in the beginning, but after all the on again off again, it got real annoying, real fast. IMHO, they lost spark; its just dead. gone. someone fix it! and fast! i say get them someone else.

Chuck - man, i totally agree with TV Guide on this. i love chuck with like ALL MY HEART, but i mean, i know that the writers have said that "high school" isnt necessarily the show's setting, and that their setting is New York. However, the characters still ARE going to school, and i totally agree with "dani" about s2 having a different feel from s1. I miss the non-judging breakfast club hanging out and all that. whatever happened to all the history these four have as friends?!
Nate - they really need to find him some decent plotline. i dont think nate should go. even though the books and the show isn't very, you know, close on many levels, i dont think they can continue having "based upon the books by cecily von ziegesar" on the credits if they kill off or kick off nate, who is the main guy character in the books. come on people.
oh and nate and vanessa? yawn. they are killing the "vanessa" character!! nate was supposed to be like the "golden boy" of the UES (Blair picked him for a reason) and they have him with vanessa?!
Serena being too nice - OMFG! i could not agree more! i want the real IT GIRL SERENA VAN DER WOODSEN. she seems so exhausted and blah in most scenes and plots. she needs to be..idk...a bitch! come on, give us some S and B scheming or something; they're bffs for a reason!
parties - once more, i totally agree! where's all the somewhat closer to realistic high school issues with the drug abuse and the excess partying???? i dont care if they're the elite of the UES; they are in HIGH SCHOOL either way.
jenny - i feel like there's so much they could do with her, especially since she's still a freshman. they're making her grow too fast. bah. whatever.
vanessa - how on earth did she become so important?!! they should have kept the shaved-head vanessa. i think that would have added more spice and made the character a little bit more worthy to even become a major one.

Seriously, Chuck no longer at school. They pay so much attention to B and S not being at school or what they do at school and yet Chuck has not been to school in how long and nothing about it.
Keep Serena and Dan together. They are good for each other. Plus it also lets Dan into the high class parties he now randomly goes to even though he would never be invited. It is starting to get like Meredith and McDreamy on Grey's. And everyone knows that that show is going down the hill.
Dorota as Gossip Girl would make a lot of sense and would be a good story line.

Agreed. I love the episode where B tells N to go give S a bath or whatever when she's drunk on Thanksgiving.(it was a flashback but still!) Now that's friends! Then they all get in a water fight in Blair's bathroom. It's adorable.

that is not going to happen, a new love interest is on the way for Serena. So i dont know what else will the writer screw up Dan and Serena with. Its irritating to see them love each other but cant be together because of their parents and the brother. and diffeent college next year. but i hope they will be together!

oh yeah and bringing any of Georgina back is a thumbs down. I hated the episodes she was in, in S1. she talks so stupid and is probably the worst character, honestly, that has been put in the show. that was interesting to see that whole (blown out of proportion) drug situation, but still good!....... but i can't stand to watch her again. yuck! i skip those episodes everytime i watch my S1 dvds. haha
