Gossip Girl actress Taylor Momsen and Greek co-star Jacob Zachar are reportedly in talks to join the cast of the comedy Cavegirl, several industry sources report today.
Backed by the U.K. Film Council, Cavegirl is based on the TV series Cavegirl - described by The Hollywood Reporter as a "1980s BBC series," even though it premiered in 2002.
Danny Peacock, who created the British original, will direct the big screen Cavegirl, which examines the life of a teenage cavegirl as a meditation on life for contemporary teens.
The Flintstones-style comedy is full of post-modern touches and anachronisms and the Reporter says the Bee Gees' Robin and Barry Gibb may even write music for the film.
Thora Birch is already set to star in Cavegirl. Production on the film will begin in April in South Africa. Presumably, Gossip Girl will have ended filming of Season Two then.
Taylor Momsen, best known for playing Jenny Humphrey on Gossip Girl, has big screen credits including The Grinch Who Stole Christmas and Paranoid Park.
She's also an aspiring superhero.

Totally agree. She looks great with long hair, girl next door. I don't like the whole "edgy" look she's going for now.
