I love brittney snow. But her look is a little to soft for Lilly. But I'll definitly watch it. Britney will pull it off some how :)

well, kelly is like 13 years older than rosamund or something. there's a resemblance, but rosamund is so much prettier. plus, she is in movies, not tv.

Rosamund Pike... however...she might be a little too old for the role.

They rushed this! And the wardrobe is A-W-F-U-L. They don't need neon, side-ponytails, and leg-warmers but just EIGHTIES. This outfit is not only NOT EIGHTIES but it's sooo ugly. Brittany Snow doesn't even look much younger than Kelly Rutherford!

I can see brittany as lily. I'm definitely going to give the spinoff a chance!
Does anyone know what they're going to do about season 3 gossip girl? Because it'll be kinda weird because they'll all be at college! Does anyone know??

i think its sad for this actress actually because out of all the characters, she is MOST outside the core. even rufus and lily who are supposed to be the boring adults have interesting and major story lines.
if her character disappeared, no one would care. she's supposed to be besties with dan, but they never talk or hangout.
nate has been boring, but nate will always be a core character bec he is so tight with the other mains - serena, blair and chuck.
the vanessa character has been totally inconsequential for two seasons.

speaking of bad casting, how about jess szohr as vanessa. wish it was a daytime soap where the character could just be easily RECAST.

I do agree that they rushed it. It just kind of popped out of nowhere and no its in production already. I don't know if it will be good because I really don't think too many people are interested in Lily at all. But like I said I do like Brittany.

I don't think this spin-off is going to last at all. I think the whole story line it pretty boring. I don't think people care that much about Lily. She's a great mom but I think that's all. Plus, Britney Snow? Really? Try getting someone who can actually act. I agree with everyone else, bad casting. They didn't give this show enough time. Their rushing it. That's just my opinion though.

i can't tell about eighties clothes cuz i was born in 87 but maybe socialite. but remember that if fans don't like the show when they do an episode of gg to start it cw won't order more episodes and won't make a series out of it. and how knows it might be ok. some spinoffs suck. but the reason why i think they have to a spinoff is because they had so many rumors about one that people asked for one. and go watch the breakfast club or st elmos fire. they are not wearing clothes like big shoulder pads or neon stuff,

i've always like Brittany Snow, and always thought she'd be great as a young Lily.
The outfit is very Lily, perhaps minus those boots.

not that i would know, since i was born in 1989.. but im pretty sure there were already preppy people in the 80s..
and i dont think she looks like kelly facially at all. different color eyes. hair is too yellow. kelly is more an ash blonde. kelly has smaller eyes and a skinny, narrow nose. brittanys nose is much wider.

Oh my God, is it only like, 2 people that realize that Lily was into horse-riding and was a part of high society (this is before she moves in with her sister, apparently...)? I know people who have had enough common sense not to get into some of the ridiculous trends during the 80s, too, so... It's not out of place for her to be wearing that.
I'm already interested. Come on, people, give it a chance. If you love Gossip Girl this much. :)

kristen bell is still too short. kristen makes an awesome gossip girl (hah).
i think maggie grace wouldve been awesome. i mean really tho, tall blondes are a dime a dozen. i dunno why they picked b. snow.
but i will def give it a chance. who knows, maybe itll be ok. not like there's alot of great shows on. i only watch gg and lost.

personally, she looks too much like a barbie doll to play lily. i think she'll d ofine because shes a really great actress but lily is supposed to be somewhat of a free spirit and brittney snow doesnt really seem to be like that. also, i think kristen bell (a.k.a. voice of gossip girl) would make a great lily.

IMO- At first, I was like, whoa, this spinoff is gonna be really dumb. 80's? Lily of all people? But hearing more about it has gotten me really excited about it. Brittany Snow, to me, doesn't really seem to have that 'bad girl' look to her. Seeing these pictures sees how she really does look like a young Kelly Rutherford. And the 80's vibe can be really cool if used right.
And FYI: Remeber Lily rode horses, so that's a riding outfit! Duh!
