"i'm actually against the idea even though i love the OC as well...
i dont know why... i just prefer them separate. + the kids are different ages. the OC kids would probs be late 20's to early 30s by now!
also, how would they explain kaitlyn cooper and agnes? they just happen 2 look identicle? haha"
Obviously you can't read because it was mentioned that the show is a spin off from Lily's past..in other words...when Lily was a teenager..so the kids aren't even born yet.

Wow, I must be really slow...but I only realised how similar Gossip Girl and The OC are just now! Blair and Summer, Serena and Marisa, Ryan and Nate, Dan and Seth, Rufus and Sandy, Lily and Kirsten..
not that I'm complaining..but can't Josh Schwartz come up with something a LITTLE different? If it weren't for the scenery change from Orange County to New York, it would be completely the same! And how original, Lily and Rufus have a history just like Kirsten and Jimmy...
BUT i do find this idea very intriguing...my vote is YES!

I think it's an interesting idea. It could be fun to watch. But isn't Kirsten a full-blooded California girl? I believe it's been said on the O.C.
I also think that Josh ang Stephanie should be careful that the show don't match or connect too much. It already matches quite a bit e.g Dan and Serena's on/off relationship, Bart's death and so on.

i think that that would be an AMAZING idea! because we never really knew the real history of the oc adults when they were younger and it would be nice to see it. it would be cool if they were in it for a few episodes!
and seriously the people who are freaking out over agnes and caitlyn being played by the same actress are really kinda dumb. because this show is set in the PAST if they wanted to bring in oc characters in gossip girl than they would've probably already been mentioned. it would be cool though if they came but maybe only a few of them and then maybe serena and marissa could've been friends when they were litte because lily and kirsten were friends! i don't know okay!!!
anyways, i think its a great idea!

everyone here who has something negative to say are all haters...i can't wait to see young lily (i love brittany snow) and the idea of young jimmy and kirsten well...i think it would be interesting to see but it shouldn't be over powered

I dont know how it would work.....but if it did it would be really cool to watch or it might be extremly gay if they do it in a strange way.

the first 2 seasons of OC were great but then it just got silly, i think a cross over would be great but only for one or two episodes not a whole season or anything , and no crossover in GG because i do not want to see marissa mixed in with blair and serena...marissa was a very annoying character. Seth YES..now that i wouldnt mind seeing!

Catty, the baby Kirstin aborted was jimmy's, she tells sandy the story in the 4th season, the ep. she discovers she pregnant again.
Not sure abt the spin off, but i guess i'll give it change...

Marissa is three years older than Serena. She graduated in 2006. I guess Kaitlyn would be about the same age as Serena. But Willa Holland was already on the show.
It would be interesting to see a Kirsten Cohen.

Okay, i LOVE the O.C, and i LOVE gg, and therefore i LOVE josh and stephanie (the creators)...but come on!! I do not think anyone could pull this off, way too ambitious, and they should keep their works seperated!! suchh an terrible ideaa

I'd love that! I was a massive OC fan, also at the end of season 1 when Theresa was deciding whether or not to have an abortion, Kirsten made some comments that alluded that she'd had one when she was young (she and Jimmy were together for ages when they were young, so maybe it was his! shock! gasp!) I would love to see that storyline finally concluded, as it never was on the OC.

I think this would be a awesome idea and something everyone wouldn't probably notice even. He's a genius for making a whole tv world come alive by connecting three different shows!

I am actually very intrigued by this idea. I think it would be kind of cool to have some small remembrance of the OC back. I am still sad that they ruined that show. So yes, I would love if they would have younger characters of Kirsten and Jimmy. If they put them on, I might be even more inclined to watch the show.

Actually I would love that Kelly Rowan would be playing a present character on Gossip Girl being Lily's wild sister. But not another O.C. drama.
I love Gossip Girl much better. Can't wait for the back door pilot on May 11.

also,I still think that Kelly Rowan would be perfect to play Cece in this spin-off
I mean,Cece,like Lily and Serena,must be gorgeous,and Kelly has so many things in commom with Lily

More bad ideas for a spin-off that was a bad idea in the first place. Can they please, please, please just focus on Gossip Girl until they decide it's done? I'm scared for Gossip Girl at the moment. :S
