this episode was soooo good ... but that one clip with georgina walking into the room wasnt from this episdoe, it is from the next one ..... this episode was more a leading up to the stuff that is going to happen later .... and omg chuck and nate were sooo jealous ... but i think that the fact that blair went to snoop with chuck rather than go see the apartment with nate says a lot .... can't wait for chuck and blair to actually get together ... best couple ever!
i agree that what chuck said to blair was uncalled for because come on everyone knew tht blair reacts badly to people telling her things she doesnt want to here, but seriously nate was a total DOUCHE!! if it werent for nate being like hey you stay away from girlfriend chuck wouldnt have done some of the thing he did NOTE: i have not watched this episode, but based on what i heard nate pushed chuck to do what he did so it all goes back to one thing: nate an ass PERIOD!

This episode proves once again that Chuck is the man for Blair. Blair living in Murray Hill, watching movies, bored out of her mind with Nate! That's so not Blair. After a month tops she would want to strangle him! She is not herself with Nate, all he seems to want is something that isn't really her!
(PS: I live in Manhattan and Murray Hill is rather boring! lol)

I have a question... remember one of the spoilers a while back where it sounded like Chuck was saying "I'm losing her" and someone like Serena was telling him to fight for her? Did that already happen, or is that something we're still waiting to see in an episode?
Anyway, spoilers coming for those who haven't finished watching...
At the end of the episode when Nate tells Blair that he loves her, I think that's the initial bar of the song that will end with Chuck telling her he loves her, and thus sealing their reunion. Right now Blair realizes, to her chagrin, that she can't get Chuck out of her system. She can't help finding him more exciting and interesting than Nate.
If she and Nate had simply picked up where they left off before, I think we'd have already seen her back with Chuck. However, she and Nate have both admitted to each other their weaknesses, have both forgiven each other, and are trying to build a relationship the "right" way. Unfortunately, neither one really does trust the other, deep down, but at least they're trying to make it legit. Blair got burned playing the game with Chuck, so even an imperfect effort by Nate, to be the guy she always wanted him to be, is enough for her.
He's willing to tell her he loves her. Chuck still isn't. We viewers think he was going to do it, that night when he found Nate's coat at Blair's house, but she doesn't know that, and he blew all his chances since then. His effort so far is fixated on spoiling her thing with Nate, but he's not offering anything positive of his own. When will he learn? They're dragging it out too much without rewards for us Chair lovers. Remember last fall, when every contact between them was blazing fireworks? Come on, Chuck was at his sinister best when trying to lure Blair away from first Nate and then British guy. Let's see a little finesse.
In other news, I found the whole storyline with Gabriel and Serena to be contrived and silly. The only interesting part was the twinge of conscience G has about screwing over Rufus. Otherwise, it's just more of Serena meaning well but being rash and stupid. Is her character ever going to grow? She's a one-note nellie, and I think the writers can do much better with her.
I find it offensive that Lily and Rufus would consider getting engaged so soon after Bart's passing, regardless of the circumstances. It's a simple matter of decency, come on. I feel like they're forcing this so that Bart Bass can return from the grave or something crazy... it's just a waste of screentime at the moment, though.
I have some respect for Penn B. as an actor, because they give Dan very little to work with, but he's working it.

Oh, I forgot something... another spoiler here:
Does anyone else think the scene where Serena and Blair argue and S. drags Nate into it is a major foreshadowing? I think we're going to see Nate ending up with Serena fairly soon. The problem is, that's a doomed relationship of two dim bulbs. Each one of them needs someone with enough spark to drive the relationship. I realize this may be a shocking suggestion but...
if I were Chuck, I'd be using that car ride back to persuade Georgina that the best way to get Blair back would be to seduce Nate. I can actually see THAT pairing working out, and it would certainly accomplish Chuck's goal. Georgina wouldn't need much convincing, and Chuck could help engineer things with Nate. If the writers don't do this, they SHOULD.
lulu ... chuck already said the "i'm losing her" thing at the end of "The Grandfather" ... when serena tells him to fight for blair, you know what to say ... so he goes to c blair to tell her that he loves her, but before he can he sees nate's jacket
I think Gabriel is a d-bag. I knew he was up to no good throughout the entire episode.....
Serena....really....Chuck and Blair do know what they're talking about....they wrote the book on scheming so they know a thing or two.
Speaking of Chuck and Blair....HELLO!!!!!!!!!!! When are we going to stop the whole Blair and Nate thing and get my beloved Chuck and Blair back together!!!!!!!!! There's too much there.....
Georgina all holy and righteous.....cracks me up......can't wait for next week
and I have to agree with whoever said the writers should try a Dan-Vanessa pairing....I think it would work out......although I really did like Dan and Serena....but that would just be too weird with their parents together and all

Thank you, I somehow missed that scene!! I kept wondering when it was going to show up.
In a way it makes sense that Chuck's efforts would be dampened because she's with Nate. He probably still feels a little guilty about what happened with their friendship last year because of his love for Blair, and Nate's the only person who still commands his loyalty enough to make him hold back. Still, part of me just can't buy this "you won, I lost, she chose you" mentality. He knows that's not true! He knows that she chose him, and he simply wouldn't/couldn't give anything of himself in return.
If the writers really are going to blow this thing open into a no-holds-barred contest between Nate and Chuck, then it needs to be epic. Nate asking Blair to move in was a massive gesture. I feel like we're missing out on pieces of the story as it goes by. Blair should have been set up to think Nate was drifting away, and we should have seen her tempted by thoughts about Chuck again, only to be swept off her feet by this sudden suggestion to move in together. We should have seen her mentally redecorating, and rejoicing in the great view and being able to be closer to Nate.
This whole "too far across town" thing was idiotic, anyway. It should have been a transparent cover for the deeper worry about not really being connected to Nate, and trying to force something for the sake of comfort, when it's not really there. Instead it just sounded kind of dumb, and his solution really grandiose and sudden and not played for much drama. Can they at least drag these suggestions out over an episode or two? Surely the buildup to "let's move in together!" can take that long?
I was also kind of annoyed that it didn't seem like a big blow to Chuck. Deja vu again (theme of the whole episode), but this time it was emotionless! Remember ;ast year, Blair kissing Nate while she glances over at Chuck, who's watching from behind the corner? You see the longing but also the dagger in her eye, and you literally feel Chuck's devastation and obsession. I never felt a thing, watching this episode's scene. It was "Chuck is annoyed by Nate's ploy", rather than "Chuck is horrified that Nate has seriously upped the ante with Blair, and Chuck isn't prepared to compete with that, as she slips even further away!" Writers, come on, you brought us this far. You need to give us MORE.
Also, writers, consider what you did to us with Chuck/Vanessa and Blair/Jack to be utterly gratuitous bs for which you OWE us a penalty. The punishment is to outdo yourself with Chair scenes, now. Make it snappy!

the writers need to go back and review the episodes. Serena bailed on Georgina and Gabriel that night, after she took the call from G's dealer. The night after that was when G drugged S. btw, the whole thing kind of does not make sense. Why would G drug S to watch The Hills. I have not tried it, but I doubt that show would get interesting by watching it while you are high. If that's what really happened, then G is a lot tamer than they're making her out to be. I was thinking G tricked S into finishing that sex tape or something...
G's bringing up The Hills reminded me the way Blair said "let me guess, lauren conrad?" in New Haven Can Wait. I love it!!!

I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed with this episode.
I love the fact that the writers of GG took many fans comments to heart and created a more compelling storyline between Rufus and Lily (SPOILER ALERT....... with the whole Gabriel taking Rufus' money and all of the complications with their finances). I even found Vanessa and Jenny's presence in this episode as framing devices more tolerable.
Furthermore, I am more of a supporter of Blair than of Chair, and despite all of Nate's jealousy, the moment he told her that he loved her enhanced my general opinion of his character. Don't get me wrong... I would love to see a chair reunion, but not at the cost of causing Blair more pain than she has already had to suffer, thusfar.
And, lastly, Gabriel=gigantic douschebag. I find what he is possibly about to do to Rufus is absolutely despicable! Him and is evil whore Poppy should go back to North Carolina to shed some teeth and wed their cousins like any true southern hicks/scumbags. They suck.
