Totally love how Chuck tells Nate it's stupid of him to want Blair to change.. Chuck accepts her the way she is.. and that is TRUE LOVE!! It reminds me of "Gone With The Wind".. Chuck is Rhett and Blair Scarlett.. both "scoundrels" but both know each other so well and accept/love each other just like that...
Well the bonus question. I think she is growing up that's good but she is changing her self to be with Nate which is wrong in some many levels. You do not change for someone else, you change for your self to be better, you don't get submissive for a guy just to like him.
I do hate Nate cause how does he get into Columbia if he is a dumb and Blair doesn't get into Yale.
I hate him because he cheated her last season not with a random girl with her best friend that's major words!
I hate Nate cause everytime he and his gf have a problem, he just jumps to another girl
I hate him bc he makes feel Blair bad, like if she was worthess of him, who the hell does he think he is? GOD!! ¬¬
Well I just want my old Blair but with less wicked mind lol
Favorite Quote: "I meant, it's stupid of you to want her to change". Nate told Chuck once before, in "Hi, Society", that he liked Blair better after they broke up b/c she was being 'less Blair'. It's time someone called him out.
Best Jewish Humor: Anything Shawn Wallace says... but esp. loved "That's where we moved Elijah... oh well"
Nate: Columbia - though no one will convince me he didn't get into because of his family connections anyway - because it's a better personality fit
Biggest Plot Hole: Nate would not have stayed after the speech he gave, and if he did no one would have spoken to him for co-opting Tripp and Maureen's celebration, which was crass and tacky and everything he's not supposed to be
Gabriel: no, he's not setting off any fireworks, but he's different from any of the other male characters in his personality and manner and the mere contrast is something I like. I think everyone's just spoiled by the amazing chemistry of Leighton and Ed, but that's a bar set unfairly high
Has Blair Changed?
As Chuck says she's [in the process of] changing. She went waaay overboard with the Ms. Carr incident, and her father's disgust at her behavior must have had a profound affect on her - something I think has been overlooked with all the Yale talk. She's growing up and we all change - but I don't think she's found her center yet. Like a pendulum, she'll find the happy medium - but I don't think Nate's idea of Blair is that center....
I really think Chuck was amazing in this episode. He almost brought tears to my eyes! And Nate... grrr, normally i dont hate him, like I'm a chair fan but at the end of remains of the J, he was ok. I don't like where nair is going, i love Chair and i'm pissed with Nate!

i think that the eventual change in blair will be that she uses her scheming for more selfless reasons and good causes (ie. helping serena) versus selfish and vindictive ones (ie. her vedetta against ms. carr or trying to sabotage nelly yuki's SAT score). i think she will still be ruthless and brilliant but her motivations will be better.

I really enjoyed this episode because Chuck was sexxxyyyy( like he always is) My only probelm is with three people. 1: Dan and Serena. I loved it when they were dating and i was really sad the FIRST time they broke up but now their starting to get on my nerves with this i love you, i dont want to ruin our friendship crap. either they stay together or stop trying. 2: Blair. I am sooo mad at blair for not giving Chuck another chance. I mean he hot, sexy , and well... HE'S CHUCK BASS!! I know he let her down plenty of times but he really showed that he loved her and wanted to prove it with some im sorries and really hot sex. lol

Blair is changing! I don't think she is changing because of Nate. After the Yale incident she feel very bad and have realized that she herself w/ all the scheming and evil plotting is what bring down the house- blair evil plan destroy blair herself. Nate's nothing great except now that he realized himself and want to be able to do something himself, so he can have respect for he himself. Nate is the key to hold Blair. He led her to the right path! He love her just as she is normal. Blair does not have to try to impress anyone to be w/Nate. Being w/ Nate Blair is less selfish. Blair just have to realized that because she is to selfish and always want to impress and beat people. If Blair step back one step she will realized no one is competing w/ her. I would love to see these two characters grow more, because they support each other and balance each other out.

1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
CHUCK: "it's stupid for you to want her to be anything other than what she is"
It shows that only CHUCK can understand her
Nate should back off and go to YALE. You are handsome
but you really have no brain. I am really sorry.
2. In honor of Josh Schwartz and two-thirds of our panel, what was the best Jewish humor-related part of the episode?
I dunno about this one. how about Elijah's chair?
3. Should Nate go to Yale or Columbia?
Yale. so that Chair can get tgt . isn't that obvious?
4. Strangest plot hole: Jenny having her Monopoly date at the van der Woodsen's and not in Brooklyn, Nate staying at the rehearsal dinner after his kiss-off toast, or Serena actually thinking she's married?
Nate. ALl the way. Jenny's fine. I'm starting to be intrigued by her. Her emotion is so strong and such a firm character. No wonder she 's going to be the next queen Bee at the end of finale. She really have grown up and starts to believe in herself and hold on to her beliefs not just become a minion and follow anyone for nothing.
5. Gabriel: Intriguing or boring?
He's a robot with human face and voice. but still yeah, better than vanessa. Don't writers realize that the lesser vanessa appears, the better the epidsode becomes? like this epi. i finally feel like GG is returning to its normal light-hearted sense , packed with emotionally strong scenes.
BONUS QUESTION: Has Blair really changed - and is being with Nate stifling the feisty, confident B we know and love?
personally no. She's just. being delusional.
eventually she will 1. dump Nate 2. stop being clingy and drop her good girlfriend act. 3. stop playing twisted games with chuck. 4. get into YAle and ivy league school. how come serena get into Brown and she's going to NYU? it's so not fair. come on, blair is straight A student.

1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
CHUCK: "it's stupid for you to want her to be anything other than what she is"!
2. In honor of Josh Schwartz and two-thirds of our panel, what was the best Jewish humor-related part of the episode?
I though the whole dinner was hilarious! But i guess my favorite part was cyrus' mum saying "Elleonor's friends are taking during Seder.", don't really know why, i guess it reminded me of the kirsten/sandy/sandy's mum dynamic on the O.C. (which i really liked!)
3. Should Nate go to Yale or Columbia?
Neither!I'm sorry but i refuse to accept that someone who's 2nd to last in his class would get into columbia on his own! That's just a big no, no!
As for yale, if nate accepts any kind of favor from his grandfather after his speech last ep., i think i'll lose what little respect i might still have for his character!
4. Strangest plot hole: Jenny having her Monopoly date at the van der Woodsen's and not in Brooklyn, Nate staying at the rehearsal dinner after his kiss-off toast, or Serena actually thinking she's married?
Nate. All the way. To not leave right after the toast, was just stupid!
Jenny was a bit weird too (it's ok to want to escape you're embarrassing father on a 1st date, specially when you're in high school, but if said father is not even home, i really don't see how that applies...).
5. Gabriel: Intriguing or boring?
The character: boring!
The storyline: intriguing!
BONUS QUESTION: Has Blair really changed - and is being with Nate stifling the feisty, confident B we know and love?
Not in her core ("selling out" nate was a pretty good example of it), but she does act differently when she's with nate! I don't think she's actually change, i think she's faking being someone that she's not (someone nate'd actually like and not judge!)
Personally, i find the way she acts around nate to be truly annoying! Enough with clingy, insecure, needy blair! and pls make her stop talking in that baby voice...
Really want my strong and interesting blair back!

3. Should Nate go to Yale or Columbia?
Let’s just flashback for a minute: The last time Nate went to Yale he almost got the crap beat out of him. Nate, go to Colombia.
4. Strangest plot hole: Jenny having her Monopoly date at the van der Woodsen's and not in Brooklyn, Nate staying at the rehearsal dinner after his kiss-off toast, or Serena actually thinking she's married?
Can we give Serena some credit. She’s not as dumb as you think she is. As much as Nate should’ve just left, I’d give this honor to Jenny. Who plays Monopoly anymore let alone with their date.
5. Gabriel: Intriguing or boring?
God, he is so boring. He’s too stiff, and too tall, and way too deep voiced, in the bad way. There’s this guy I ride to school with and he has a deep voice, but it makes him all the more attractive. (Oh and his eyes and eyebrows remind me so much of Chace Crawford, but he’s attractive anyway).
BONUS QUESTION: Has Blair really changed - and is being with Nate stifling the feisty, confident B we know and love?
