anna: didn't you know that 1 week isnt fast enough for Nate&Blair to have gotten together? By Chair rules, real passion means they should have had sex like the second after Nate dumped V! Because true love can't wait! *rolls eyes*

come on if Chuck really loved blair we woundnt c him liturally every episode with some random chick getting it on!!oh and before anyone says "what about nate..he is like that!" well Nate wasnt doing it for the sack of it...Nate from the start has been conflicted about his lifestyle and was finding out who he was. AND like with the whole Elle thing, he only came running back to Blair when he found out Elle was playing him WTF!!
since the start i have loved Nate and Blair and then reading the books made me love them more. I like by Chuck by himself as a charater but hate Chair!!
srsly would u
a) like to be with someone who is nice and loving or
b) a total a-hole who plays with ur head
for me i would like A.

Nate and Blair all the way... I just think the writer had them together so fast. The writer need to give Nate and Blair their time of moving on being theirself and finding each other. Its not fair to not let them have any good moment on the show and expect us to choose Nair or Chair! If we were able to see more interaction of Nate and Blair, some chair might give up the temptation! Chuck and Blair bring out the worst of each other, and their relationship would turn into hell. You guys want Blair to be the evil queen B who could have anything- ya being evil and not think of anyone and w/ chuck support - at the end not even end now no one like Blair. Blair has no one to turn to expect her cleaning lady. Nate i boring and nice. Blair is evil but full of creativity. Nate could show and bring out the angel Blair really is w/o pretending so that she could realized she does not have to plan and plot her next step to get something. Blair bring out the playfulness in Nate. Seriously, spending every moment in time to plan and plot for the next step or day that is too tiring.

lets just start off to say that nate is one of those guys that any girls could love because hes nice cute and easy going hes met for someone just like him blair was good for him in the beggining of season one when she was a perfect unplucked flower but as the show went on everyone started to see how chuck and blair would always plan their schemes together and it would always cross our minds wow wouldnt they make a wonderful couple not only do they look good together but they also bring out things in eachother blair brings out chucks good side where as nate just sits there he isnt meant to sweep blair off her feet he is just the constant distraction pulling blair away from her true love chuck. in chuck and blair relationship there is conflict and drama and romance-isnt that what every good relationship is based on? where as the whole nate blair relationship is just to nice people going out big deal right? if you look at it closely anyone can see that chuck and blair or chair are meant to be!

I love chuck and blair! They are great for each other and i hate hate seeing Blair with anyone else! Nate is adorable dont get me wrong but he's not for Blair!!!! Also, seriously i used to hate chuck and think he was like really ugly and annoying but like now i think he is so hot! I agree with another comment someone else made...nate and blair =boring! chuck and blair= interesting

CHAIR ALL THE WAY!! for now i want blair to date nate tho because they look cute together and they create more drama between chair... chuck and blair are so perfect together they are both these 2 rly snobby, wealthy,scheming people i mean seriously how can they not end up together? i mean in the season 1 finale when chuck gives the speech i like wanted to diee it was so sweet and just showed how blair brings out the best in him

Kimberly: Well, technically just because you say you love someone doesn't mean you automatically have a connection.
THANK you. Chuck and Blair are having problems saying those words because they're hard for them to accept. Chuck isn't Blair's "prince charming" and Blair is a freaking novelty to Chuck because he's never known love to begin with. It's scary to them both.
Nate only repeated Blair's "I love you" in the pilot (can't remember if he says it to her again at another time) because he knew he'd look like a complete douche if he didn't. And Blair? Well. Teenagers say the words all the time because they think saying them will make the statement truth. And then after they have sex Nate thinks that's it, he's in love. Like Petra said, biggest teen cliché ever.
The simple fact is, Chuck and Blair are/were merely having trouble acknowledging their feelings. Nate and Blair are/were only throwing the words out to appear like a "normal" couple.
Oh, and someone else pointed out that maybe the age differences between Chair and Nair fans are at the root of the debates. I fully support that argument. That is all.

It's kind of odd that I'm falling for a couple like Chuck and Blair. I usually do not go for the bad boy getting the girl. However, there is something that these two have that I haven't seen in a long time. I could list several reasons that will probably have been listed a hundred times. Yet I'm going to stick with the big reason why I love them. That reason is they both kick each other back into reality. Meaning that every moment between them, every exchange, every kiss, everything is real. This is not a strictly physical relationship, there is something deeper. It's something that only Chuck and Blair can understand. Yes, they have secrets but they will be blunt and honest with each other, no matter what. That's true passion. Real love is when you open your eyes and love a person the way they are, not what they want to be. Blair does not have to pretend for Chuck and vice versa. She has always been one to go on plans but no one can actually plan every detail of their life. He reminds her that things don't always go the way you planned and it's not a bad thing. Their biggest moments together were unplanned but that didn't mean everything was ruined. If anything, it brought them out of what they were used to and into something greater. Life, like love, is unpredictable. But, roadblocks or not, it works out just like these two do.

I'm a Chair fan, partly because I like their storyline better and partly because of the on-screen chemistry between Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick. (Seperately and together, these two actors make the show for me.)
I think the different chemistry is really apparent when you look at the pictures of the Blair/Nate kiss and the Blair/Chuck kiss side by side. Nate's back is ramrod straight and controlled, Blair's hand is on his arm creating distance between them and while both look happy there is no sense that either is 'lost in the moment'. With Chuck and Blair on the other hand, she has her arms thrown around his neck to pull him into her and he is leaning over her and pulling her closer to him from around the waist, giving the sense that they not only want to kiss but to be touching every part of the other person.
I know some Nair shippers have said that this passion is just superficial and not the most important quality in a relationship, but it is still something I think most of us would want as a component of our love life and enjoy it as part of addictive TV viewing. But Chair has more than passion going for them, they click, understand each other better than anyone else on the show and, by and large, accept each other's flaws, which is something that I do think is a very important part of a relationship. Both Nate and Chuck have hurt Blair in the past and both have also showed at different times that they care for her, but Nate has been judgemental while Chuck tends to accept the things Blair does as part of who she is, even when he doesn't particularly like them (think situation with Marcus, Nate and from upcoming spoilers Jack too). I know some might say that Nate would be a better influence on Blair but I don't see this as being the case, seeing as they went out for so long and she is still who she is (and let's face it, who she is is a very watchable character). Nate's criticisms only ever seemed to make Blair feel bad about herself and probably contributed to the whole bulimia thing. At least during the brief times when Chuck has really let himself be with Blair he has made her happy, and when she is interested in him she seems less concerned about interacting with her little minions.
Plus, I know it's silly, but I just have to put in that I love the way when you look back over the episodes of the show, even from early season one, Blair and Chuck's clothes usually match/share colours, making them look like they should be a couple.
Nate as a character is a bit stiff and needs the wildness/openness of a Serena/Jenny/Vanessa to complement him and bring him out of his protected facade, the way Chuck does for Blair.

I won't lie - I'm a much bigger Nate and Blair fan then I am of Chuck and Blair. While Chuck and Blair are interesting for drama, I feel like they are too similar in a lot of ways. Comparing them to Seth and Summer on the OC is a long shot. I feel that once Blair and Chuck settle down and start doing normal couple things people will begin to realize just how boring they actually will be. Passion dies off - that sizzle everyone enjoys won't last forever.

Maybe I'm the only one to feel this way, but Nate is actually my favorite character on this show. He's the only one whose story seems believable to me, and he's the only one who doesn't operate with hidden agendas.
That said, I have always loved Nate and Blair together because I feel like Blair is the only character on the show that's good enough for him. Not that Nate is perfect--cause he's soooo not--but he does seem to have a good concience and actually want to do the right thing most of the time.
Blair needs Nate because he keeps her from turning into a horrible person. Chuck encourages everything conniving and malicious in Blair, something that keeps her from realizing her full potential.
I know this show's not about realism (lol), but Blair and Nate are just the more functional, probable couple. I don't mind seeing Chuck and Blair together here and there, but I'd love it if, when Gossip Girl is said and done, Blair ends the way she began--with Nate.

I think this argument could go on forever and that is why the show does this. The CBer's watch to see what will happen with that couple, and the NBer's watch to see what will happen there. All the breaking up and getting back together and drama and angst is why we watch. Those who want the real life sweatheart type of romance root for Blair and Nate, and those that love the drama, fire, and sexual tension of Blair and Chuck love that type of relationship. It doesn't mean they are evil because this isn't their relationship, it is a television show. This is what we watch to escape our real life, so it is ok if we like the not to nice guy with the sometimes not so nice girl, or the perfect couple if that is what you like to watch. Right now by doing this the show get everyone to watch and make more promises so you keep watching. That is called ratings and they do it so they can keep the show on the air. Just enjoy the ride and take the episodes where your couple is together and enjoy it for what it is. There is hope for everyone.

it's not like blair hasnt hurt chuck too... i mean, she didnt care about his feelings whe she got back together with nate in season 1, she used LM to hurt him, she told him that he had no friends and that his father didnt love him... the two of them are not saints, but that's what make cb so special and entertainment, their love-hate relationship...

chuck and blair...wen they actualy get 2gether they need 2 last til the end. right now i dnt mind if theyr kept apart....as long as thers drama and wen they properly get 2gether...its EPIC.
i am in love with sum1. he loved me too once. we swore at each other, we fought over evrything, we hurt each other endlessly nd let others pressure us...on whether we shud be together or not. evry1 sed forget him, its time 2 move on...
sometimes uve gotta stop and think. i dnt think i could ever just 'get over' him. ok, he isnt perfect and he had hurt me. but what about the great moments we had shared? the connection that we still had? the fact that we could tell each other anything. i could never tell him either. plainly because i wanted it 2 last...not 2 be over.
so please dont say chuck doesnt deserve blair...because what theyve been through is the test of love. and as its a show, i want a happy ending 4 them eventually.
