First of all, as a disclaimer, I am not a fan of Chuck nor Blair, and adore Leighton Meester.
Now, I just want to say that this is the most superficial, out-of-touch with reality batch of people I have come across. Ed and Jessica look absolutely radiant, happy, and NORMAL here. Ed is NOT overweight, his hairy chest is fine, and sorry ladies, but he is in a relationship with Jessica whether you bash her or not. Now, on to poor Vanessa. Her outfit: Totally fine. Rompers are all the rage this summer [just check out your favorite, Leighton, sporting a one-sie as well: http://style.popcrunch.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/leighton-meester-silver.jpg]. Her hair: Completely beach-appropriate: curly, up-in-a-bun, free of itchy weave. And now, onto her as an actress. It is obvious through your icons, login names, and comments that that the majority of you are “Chair” supporters, which is totally fine. But, it is also apparent that the majority of hate Jessica because of the character she portrays- whether it is because you find her irritating, hypocritical, or hate that she came between Chuck and Blair [For like two episodes, by the way. I love Nair, and had to deal with her for an entire season]. But anyway, either way, you can not hate an actress for her character; it is unfair and makes no sense. If anything, it means that she is an AMAZING actress—she is so convincing, that you actually believe Jessica is like that in real life. Please, just lay off of her. She has not done anything offensive, seems perfectly nice, and is, deny it or not, absolutely beautiful. Ed has chosen her, not you, so deal with it.

I was simply trying to point out that there is such a thing as a "showmance" .... publicists create relationships and all the "snap shots" you see of two people falling in love has all been set up. Maybe they are destined to have kids and live happily ever after. Good for them if that is so ... again, I was just speculating that their relationship -- to me -- hence, my opinion -- seemed to pop up. They are two different skin tones. His skin tone is very fair but now yeah he is tanned. Jessica's skin tone is mocha. She is pale for her skin tone but over-all her skin tone is darker than Ed's. He's just more bronzed right now.

I agree with some stuff Givememyloaf:] said. BUT, you can't just put everyone here in the same batch. I mean, i don't hate Vanessa or Jessica whatsoever, but that doesn't mean that i have to either find her attractive or a good actress. I honestly think she needs a lot of improvement in her acting skills - otherwise she wouldn't be working in a production such as Piranha. As for her appearance, i think she's ok, but she has a horrible taste for clothes and she DOES NOT look good in that outfit, no matter if rompers are the latest trend or not. But of course, everyone is allowed to make mistakes when it comes to dressing.
And i just want to add that i'm a huge CHAIR fan but that's just one thing. I have nothing against Jessica or her relationship with Ed and do not hope or expect CHAIR to happen in real life. In fact, as a big Ed's fan, i actually hope him to be very happy with whoever he decides to date.

I think Jessica aka Vanessa can be a great actress, the only thing wrong I think, is the serie she' s in... I don't think she matched well with gossip girl. I was always like ok, cute actress, but what's is she doing on gossip girl? The magic for me just wasn't there...
But for the rest, I think she will be a great actress in other roles, just not this one.. And for Jessica and Ed, I wish you all the best!

Personally, I think that my dislike is not so much for Jessica herself, but I think that really people are drawing connections between the Vanessa/Chuck relationship vs. the Ed/Jessica relationship, as I certainly have not been able to avoid. Because they were repulsive and put a bad taste in your mouth on screen, of course people aren't going to view them as the most beautiful, wonderful couple ever- its hard to do considering we don't truly know who they are or how they interact, and some of us would naturally have to take bits and pieces of the only thing we're seeing of them- which is basically whats on the TV. That being said, I really don't mind Jessica, I think that she's cute-ish and Ed is the hottest thing to ever walk on this planet, and yeah her outfit doesn't look the best and yes, she has a really boring character on the show who everyone wants to kill off, but basically, its their lives, and I've accepted that while I may not be rooting for them, what happens in their private lives it totally up to them. For all we know, they may have the chemistry of Blair and Chuck....haha, well, maybe not that far, because we all know thats impossible to achieve. ;)

Ok. All of you stop it. You can dislike a celebrity for whatever reason, and are allowed to voice it. It doesnt mean people are jealous of her! Some of you might adore her, and cannot see why people dislike her. But thats just the way it is. I see it was mainly aganist Vanessa before but now its more about Jessica. I believe it is because she is still not doing anything special as an actress but has all the spot light for who she is dating. I get It can be pretty irritating. Especially if you adore Ed too much.

However, while I find it okay to hate on characters, it's not okay to hate on the actors who portray them. I don't really have anything against Jessica Szohr, and in fact didn't have any strong feelings against her character until V got in the way of Chair (oh-so-randomly it seemed to me). I did wonder if the writers decided to hook up CV b/c of the real-life pairing of Ed & Jessica, which may have resulted in my (and countless others) reaction against CV spilling over onto the actress a bit (or a lot, if you read some of these posts).
Jessica is gorgeous, her hair is naturally curly likely because of her half African-American ancestry, and hating on her for her nose and/or hair smacks of racism to me. Grow the f* up! Slamming her fashion sense is less harmful, but lets give these people a chance to relax!
As for Ed, he is gorgeous, not overweight, and looks good with his natural chest hair (which 95% of Caucasian men have once they hit puberty!). It's nice to see him tanned, and either he's been hitting the gym a bit more regularly, or the camera angles are being less cruel to him, so he is looking better than those March photos of the couple.
Bottom line, for me? Cute couple together, gorgeous individuals separately, Ed a very promising lead actor, Jessica needing a character & storyline that is relevant and appreciable, poor people need a chance to rest and relax. I want GG news, news about characters, not the actors personal lives. Stop being nosy and mean. It makes you look uglier than these actors ever could...
P.S. Not jealous of them as a couple, have my own man, wish them a chance for happiness, though it's early enough yet...
everyone get over yourselves and calm down. just leave both of them alone - the paparazzi only ever publish the worst pictures of people. plus, how would you like it if everyone was critising you all the time and YOUR outfit and YOUR boyfriend/girlfriend.
