So disappointing that most of this episode is dedicated to Lily's flashbacks...even though that was the point of adding it in the first place.
I am really looking forward to watching more CB scenes and feel that one more episode just won't be enough...

I think Blair got back together with Nate when things were going bad for her and she needed some reassurance in the shape of familiarity. It isn't too surprising that after Nate's insecurities and Blair's obvious feelings for Chuck they gradually realised this was doomed and by prom night it just didn't feel right anymore- even though they still care for each other.
basically it was inevitable - They just had to have Blair do the breaking up this time to show she was completely over Nate before she and Chuck go full force. Hopefully literally :)

This has nothing to do with "stupid writers" or "making the fans happy with a rushed break-up" - this was PLANNED and EXECUTED perfectly. Blair needed something comforting and familiar after her future was thrown into WTF-land, and Nate fit the bill perfectly. She probably would have preferred Chuck, but he was obviously too busy trying to woo Elle (in an effort to forget Blair, stay out of her life, and thereby spare her any further pain, imo).
She still LOVES Chuck, obviously, so to continue with Nate would have been wrong - good for you for realizing that, B! As she so eloquently puts it: Nate was her highshool love, and highschool is over. For me, this was exactly the kind of gentle, bittersweet B/N closure I was looking for.
The only part of the VG storyline I liked was RYAN HANSEN! He was hilarious, as usual. Too bad Josh n' Steph couldn't have added him to the current cast - I think he's totally wasted in the (possible) spin-off.

Okay, first of all, I love Chuck and Blair, and I also loved this idea of the first great love/high school romance, and I like Nate very much, but SERIOUSLY, this guy is unbelievable.
First: He's together with Blair, then has sex with Serena, tells her (or accidentally to Jenny, season1) that he *loves her* and can no longer pretend...then BOOM, he kinda starts liking Vanessa, they date then BOOM makes out with the duchess or whoever then again V, then BOOM, he's into jenny, then BOOM, all of a sudden again V, then again B...GEEEEEEEZ. Gimme a break. This guy just falls for each and every girl on GG, like basically every other episode he's into someone else. It's just ridiculous, shame on the writers. I especially disliked the V-Jenny-Nate love triangle (or whatever that was). WTF?! Pleaseplease, dear writers, give Nate someone and STICK TO IT, at least half a season!!!

i really thought they rushed everything about Nair and i HATED it. Like i would have liked them for a longer time and i think the writers should have put them in after a while so eveyrthing wouldnt be rushed and messed up D:
Also the 80's outfits were goood : ) i really liked them but i think they should have showed this part later and not as a part of a gossip girl episode cause it was annoying how they kept switching it back and forth. Besides what happened to the whole Poppy/Georgina thing?
and i feel really bad about nate and blair cause i happen to be one of the few who love them , so i hope they come back again soon. now we have to watch chuck and blair chase each other but oh well .
