In just a couple of hours, Gossip Girl will air an all-new episode, "Valley Girls."
It's the 24th episode of the second season, with just one more to come next week. This week also serves as a teaser for the potential '80s spinoff, as we know.
We've seen plenty of preview clips and photos of this episode and you've shared with us all of your opinions, criticisms, theories and dreams at great length.
Now it's time to sit, watch and comment on the events as they unfold.
Will the '80s flashbacks be worthwhile and leave us wanting more, or just be a waste of time that makes us resent missing more of the present day Upper East Siders? Is tonight the end of the line for Nate and Blair? How will Serena get out of jail?

i am just hoping for more blair and chuck action! considering the season is alsmot o-v-e-r! i hope the spin-off doesn't take most of the show =( i am curious just like everyone else as to how the finale is going to be shown... well the big "ILY" better not be less than a minute! been waiting for this moment forever!!!!! i just hope tonight's episode builds us up for the finale >______<

I think tonight will be the end of Blair and Nate. Although they are absolutely an adorable pair, their relationship seems kind of fake, if that makes sense. I hope Chuck will finally man up tonight and tell Blair that he loves her. Because if he doesn't, he really needs to leave her alone so she can move on completely. But I really think the two will end up together eventually. And I hope the 80s flashbacks don't take up most of the episode, becausen that might suck.

I for one is interested in the 80's premise, i'm eager to find out why Lily is as she is. And just why she had Serena arrested! As other's i'm just hoping it doesn't take the full focus for the show, i'm excited about the maybe impending relationship break up of Nate/Blair.
We have to admit they're not the same people, and it does come across that they are going through the motions, i believe more on Nate's part.
I'm waiting for some god damn Chuck/Blair action, i mean we only have a week left 1 majot epiosde finale. It's gotta be fireworks right ?!?

ya i watched the episode last night ... was pretty good ... i was expecting the 80's flash back part to be terrible, but it wasnt that bad ...
SPOILERS!!
- you think during the episode that chuck was trying to sabbotage blair's prom, but he actually made it into her dream come true (i.e. get her the perfect dress, make her win prom queen, etc.) was so cute
- blair breaks up with nate!!! ... yess!!!! .... at the prom blair starts to feel like nate is just her past, her "high school boyfriend" ... so she breaks up with him
- keith van der woodsen is a jerk! ... he got lilly arrested the first time they met ... and he slept with lilly's sister

I think tonights episode is going to be very intresting.
I am glad to hear the blair breaks up with nate. I just hope next episode chuck tells her he loves her and they finally get together.

This episode was amazing... except for one very huge flaw in the timeline. Unless Rufus was once known as Owen, the creators screwed up Lily's timeline. Rufus and LIly have a child which means that that was before Van Der Woodsen. But Lily was dating Owen before Van Der Woodsen. And CeCe bribed both Owen and Rufus. So was Owen some band guy that Lily fell in love with/became obsessed with, then he changed his name to Rufus Humphrey, then they had a kid, she took her moms money and left Rufus/Owen to marry Van Der Woodsen. Is that how it works? Or did they just over do some story lines and screw up hugely. Unfortunately I think it's the latter.
However, that huge flaw being ignore...it was an amazing episode. I highly enjoyed it. I felt bad for Nate at the end though. Of course he goes for Blair and she choses differently in the end. But the Blair Chuck storyline is about to be adorable.
All in all, a good episode, but the writers really need to get their history straight.

I AM BEYOND PISSED ABOUT THIS EFFING EPISODE!
The only thing I liked was Chuck's undermining plan to make Blair's night memorable even though I'm NOT particularly for Blair and Chuck together.
Blair annoyed me--breaking up with Nate? Who does that?!
And the Valley Girls flashbacks?! Ugh, give me a break!
First off, Brittany Snow is HORRIBLE as Lily.. and second, the ENTIRE Valley Girls is just a total flop.
THAT SUCKEDDDDDDDDDDDD.
