The more I think about it, the more Blair really is like Holly Golightly. Ms. Golightly certainly would have pulled the move of breaking up with her boyfriend in the middle of prom.

So, I just caught this episode on Sidereel... And I absolutely loved it. I didn't expect much out of the flashbacks, but I loved them. Brittany Snow is adorable and Krysten Ritter is just so full of charisma, it's insane. I'm also very intrigued by the whole thing with Keith Van Der Woodsen... I really want to see how that plays out in either the spin-off or at least Gossip Girl itself if the spin-off is a no-go. Keith and Lily for a while could be really cute. :)
I'm not at all sad about the fact that there was less time for the main characters. I just can't wait for next week, though. My heart melted when I saw Chuck's face at the end, looking at Blair the way he did. I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeed to see.

Random thing that bugged me about this episode was the fact that little lily's eyes are blue, but her adult version is brown. They could have at least gotten some contacts for ashley.
ok seriously?!?!?! i was all for the spin-off (anything gossip girl related, i'll watch) but to take up 65 per cent of the actual gg episode pissed me off...especially when the season is coming to an end! like WTF!?!?! How can they rush prom!?! I was expecting kiss on the lips party or like the masquerade soiree, instead it looked so plain! I hated the flashbacks! One second i felt all emotional for chair, then the next they flashback to a stupid 80's scene!!! Arghhhhhhhhhh! i feel jifffed!
we were robbed of a proper:
1. Prom
2. Nate and Blair break up *soo rushed* like nate didn't even argue, what happened afterwards?!?!?
3. Chuck's sweet deeds *i would have loved to see him in action*
4. after party?!?!
5. more CHAIR moment! i hated how Blair was going off on Chuck

CHUCK AND BLAIR WERE AWESOMMMEEE.... Chuck was so sweet,
OMG Chuck was soooooo sweet
I kinda liked some parts of the spin off and how they put it together with GG , but it was more spin off than GG some parts were to short like prom . And i wanted to see more Chair !!! Ihope the last episode will blow my mind =)
I think it will be awesome if they give more time showing the prom part..., anyways, I'm just hoping now that Nate/Blair broke up, the finale will give us more of Blair and Chuck scenes. I just love seeing them together!so cute...love it!

I am kind of worried -the jack/blair thing is supposed to come out and it hasn't yet. I hope that isn't the ending of the season finale....i will be sick.

OK. I like the spinoff and I liked the normal Gossip Girl but the episode should not have had both. The writers didn't make the transitions between past and present very well. And all the vacant stares that Lily (older) did were annoying. The 80s storyline should have been its own episode. And the prom should have been a longer episode with more detail. It was PROM!! That's so important to highschoolers and we only got to see like 10 minutes total of prom. Also, the conflict between Lily and Cece during the present time didn't make any sense. I know they don't like each other but we've never seen Lily freak out on Cece like that before. It was just all really forced.

I think Nate didn't even bother to argue or really say anything... Considering how he probably came to terms with Blair being in love with Chuck already. Last episode, remember? When he told Chuck to man up?
