If Serena indeed were somehow able to simply hang out in jail for as long as she wanted, we highly doubt they would in turn make it comfortable enough for her to be so jolly whenever she's on the phone. Minus 2.
The actress who played younger CeCe grew on us. She really had the voice and look down, and they all had clearly practiced similar mannerisms. Plus 4.
The lengthy exposition about Carol is beyond fake and terrible. Lily and CeCe know who she is. Why do they keep explaining it to one another? Minus 5.
Carol's boyfriend: "To the Impala!" Lily: "The what?" Plus 2.
Serena didn't know she was going to be arrested before today. So she clearly would have had a prom dress already. Minus only 2, because at least Lil J's creation managed to do the near impossible - tame Serena's boobs.
Matt Barr plays Keith van der Woodsen, whose appearance made us gasp and kick up our feet like a cartoon rooster. Plus 4 for him being a hot, blond dick.
Nate wouldn't be perceptive enough to figure out Chuck was up to something re: prom. Did getting into Columbia make him get smarter? Minus 2.
At least the bad dancing at prom, despite the cheesy music, is real. No matter how fancy you get, horny teens just want to hug and waddle. Plus 2.

So true about Matt Barr, he plays hot, blond dick so well!!! Must have that look about him, considering he is always a dick in anything he's in! Psycho Derek anyone.....?!!!!!!!
I loved how the prom was so prom, and Blair was like a little girl at christmas, every girls dream!!!

Regarding Serena's dress... I haven't seen the complete episode yet, but I think we can asume that she had a dress, and maybe when Dan showed up in jail and took her out she was so moved by it that agreed to use the dress that he offered her.

I really like the gossip girl spin-off and I hope that CW will be smart enough to pick up the series. From what I see, all the negative discussions regarding this spin-off really comes from the young generation. A large percentage of GG's audience weren't even born yet in the 80's, so most of them can't relate to the fashion and what was "rad" back then, thus, criticizing the whole thing in advance. I say give it a shot before we start judging it, I believe that Josh and Stephanie really know what they're doing and I'm looking forward to the past life of Lily. Thanks!

replying to 'lily fan'. I was not born yet in the 80s but I find the fashion and music of that time to be pretty awesome, and almost make me wish I was born back then. But thats not the reason I hated the Lily flashbacks. It's because Lily isn't interesting enough to get her own spin off and the whole plot line of them trying to get back their music video? The whole thing was just dull and not because of when it was.

Idk if I can deal with Matt Barr being Keith vdW. He was psycho Derek/Ian. I can't erase that image *shivers*.
