As for OC i ALWAYS shipped Sethummer more than I ever shipped Ryan and Marissa (see, you can't even get a decent nickname) and I must say I liked Ryan with Taylor more, since Marissa and Ryan were more apart than together. So my point is that Sethummer worked. They didn't need to break up after every episode and neither does Chair. I REALLY hope they stick together. At least for a season, or half. It IS possible to create drama without break-ups.
My fav scene was ofc the ending. I loved the kissing-iloveyou mix. So cute. Then the Blair seducing Chuck part and all the adoring, worshiping etc. It acutally seemed that Chuck got hurt when he found out about Jack.
Nelly Yuki made her best episode I think, and Nate's "DAN is a gossip girl" and acutally all the gg lines (Gossip Girl is a guy?")
I also was surprised about how quickly V forgave Nate, G's return wasn't actually shocking but her plan was.
I must agree - I too think that the most troubled chick in GG will be Serena. G will bring trouble and mysteries and I'm thinking maybe will get Chair's way? I have a feeling though that maybe season 3 will end with G being on the good side.
Jenny will adventually turn bitchy, Nate will stay with V for a while. Not sure about the D/S thing, but since we saw (out of the blue!) that S is going to look for his dad, they won't probably get together, at least not in beginning. Oh and Scott is going to be trouble for Van der Humphrey family.
I think that Chuck and Blair will stay together for at least a season. I mean they managed it with Dan and Serena who have no chemistry and are so boring together (no offense to Derena fans)
The writers know by this stage what the audience wants, and while they can't play it safe all the time, having some form of CB is a given. They've used up their back-and-forth storylines, now they have to get down to the real relationship which - after a while if they continue to use blindspots like Georgina and work and college - will get boring.
OTH has had six seasons with a seventh on the way, and they've kept true to their pairing for the majority of it (Hayley and Nathan) why shouldn't GG have the same?

i think they should keep chuck and blair together. yes, most other couplings have lasted only a few episodes but the build up to those other pairings also only lasted an episode or two. even serena and dan got together pretty quickly in season one. the build up for chair has been dragged out over 2 seasons with lots of back and forth, will they/won't they etc. - it's been done. i really don't think (and really, really hope) they are going to turn around and repeat the same drama bullshit for the actual relationship. THAT would be WAY more boring than watching them navigate the ups and downs of a relationship while engaging the usual drama (georgina and carter, serena's escapades, bass industries (the return of jack bass?), etc.etc.) i felt like this episode as they tried to unmask gg (njbc!) you saw a little glimpse of the chuck and blair power couple in action!

first of all, it doesn't really work that someone gets "the most expensive dorm room possible". you don't buy dorm rooms, you get randomly assigned to them. secondly it could be (and i don't know if this is true at nyu but it was at my college) that freshman are required to live in the dorm. a lot of schools require students live in campus housing the first year. in fact, my shcool required it for the first 2 years; you could only move off-campus starting your junior year.

It does seem weird that a Waldorf would be living in a dorm. I know that some schools require freshman to live in dorm for the first year, but you would think she would find some way to get around that. I can't imagine Blair in a dorm, I mean mine was so small I couldn't even fit half my fall wardrobe in the closet, can you imagine Blair's? Just watch though, she is going to have some ridiculously huge room with plenty of closet space, like Rory on Gilmore Girls. It's kind of ridiculous, to all of you who haven't been to college yet, dorm rooms are not like what they show on TV... That said I think it will be a really interesting story next year, provided Georgie sticks around.
Many of us have complained about the writing of the show this year, so I have a challenge for the writers: Prove to us that you are as good as you used to be... How? by not taking the easy way out and breaking Chuck and Blair up, prove to us that you can handle writing a relationship and keep it interesting. Give them issues and then let them work it out. If you need inspiration watch some classic movies!!!! The finale was a good start, but they need to move on from there.
Finally, the Van Der Bass/Humphrey family is just growing and growing isn't it. I mean, Lily, Rufus, Serena, Dan, Chuck, Jenny, Eric and Scott... by the end of the show every person in our cast will be related....
I could totally see a Blair pregnancy in Season 3 -- that would giver he an excuse to drop out of NYU because we all know she doesn't really want to be there. And of course Chuck would get scared at the prospect of being a Father and run off for a few episodes, but he would eventually come around and then we would have another heartfelt CB reunion.
Too bad Serena doesn't marry Aaron Rose, since Cyrus is married to Eleanor then technically Serena would (ok this is a long shot) be distantly related to Blair (step-sister in law I believe?) and that would make Blair very distantly related to the rest of the Vanderhumphreybass family. Including Chuck. haha

I know that some schools require freshman to live in dorm for the first year, but you would think she would find some way to get around that. I can't imagine Blair in a dorm, I mean mine was so small I couldn't even fit half my fall wardrobe in the closet, can you imagine Blair's? Just watch though, she is going to have some ridiculously huge room with plenty of closet space, like Rory on Gilmore Girls. It's kind of ridiculous, to all of you who haven't been to college yet, dorm rooms are not like what they show on TV... That said I think it will be a really interesting story next year, provided Georgie sticks around.
Many of us have complained about the writing of the show this year, so I have a challenge for the writers: Prove to us that you are as good as you used to be... How? by not taking the easy way out and breaking Chuck and Blair up, prove to us that you can handle writing a relationship and keep it interesting. Give them issues and then let them work it out. If you need inspiration watch some classic movies!!!! The finale was a good start, but they need to move on from there.
Finally, the Van Der Bass/Humphrey family is just growing and growing isn't it. I mean, Lily, Rufus, Serena, Dan, Chuck, Jenny, Eric and Scott... by the end of the show every person in our cast will be related....

I could totally see a Blair pregnancy in Season 3 -- that would giver he an excuse to drop out of NYU because we all know she doesn't really want to be there. And of course Chuck would get scared at the prospect of being a Father and run off for a few episodes, but he would eventually come around and then we would have another heartfelt CB reunion.

Too bad Serena doesn't marry Aaron Rose, since Cyrus is married to Eleanor then technically Serena would (ok this is a long shot) be distantly related to Blair (step-sister in law I believe?) and that would make Blair very distantly related to the rest of the Vanderhumphreybass family. Including Chuck. haha
