Gossip Girl Spoilers: The Latest on Georgina
Aside from the magical Chair moment, perhaps the most buzzed-about portion of Monday's season finale was Georgina Sparks' surprise appearance toward the end - and her declaration that she will be attending NYU and rooming with Blair!
But with Michelle Trachtenberg, who plays Georgina, starring on a different series next fall, is she really joining the Gossip Girl cast, as this scene implies?
Looks like yes and no. Here's what Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly has to say about that particular Gossip Girl issue in his weekly spoiler Q&A ...
Q: I just finished watching the Gossip Girl finale, and it was awesome. My question for you is about Georgina: At the end of the episode she announced she was going to be Blair's roommate at NYU - strongly implying that she would be a presence, if not a regular character, in season 3. But Michelle Trachtenberg is in NBC's new drama, Mercy.
What does this mean about Georgina and Gossip Girl?
A: It means producers thought ahead and made sure Michelle Trachtenberg negotiated a three-episode Gossip Girl "out" in her Mercy contract. You didn't really think the Georgina-Blair roommate thing would last longer than that, did you?

i love michelle and sebastian, if they could be recurring or regulars next season it would be amazing
i hope scott leaves soon, he's ugly and doesnt look like much fun

kinda disappointed ... mostly because georgina causes a lot of drama ... and to b honest, scheming together is what keeps chuck and blair together .... as long as there is a lot of other drama, they can stay together .. but once the drama is within the relationship, they will break up :(

I sort of wish that they were making Georgina a regular on the show! She make Gossip Girl 10 times more interesting, which, of course, I like. Plus, Michelle is a really good actress. And she does the whole "bad girl" act very well! I heart it! She does such a good job and being so bad that it just makes you have to love her, no matter how much you want to hate her! Lol. I hope you guys know what I mean. Hahaha. Anyway, those 3 episodes that she IS in are going to be AH-MAZING X 100!

am i the only one, but im glad.
dont get me wrong i like having Georgina in GG, but if shes a regular, she'll get over played, and sooner or later get boring.
She should just come back once and awhile just to bring a little spice.

amen to eric, dorota and cyrus! those are the exact 3 characters i want to me regulars or, in eric's case, a main!
this is the way i figure it re: carter. they might be able to soften chuck a little bit, keep him with blair, if they turn carter into the resident morally bankrupt bad boy. maybe he has a soft spot for serena (a la chuck's for blair) but i think there is potential there to develop the character and make him more layered and interesting. so we actually give a crap about him! i agree with di that they haven't done that yet, but i think they could and that could allow them to make some changes in chuck's character without ruining the show. i see the potential.
