Aside from the magical Chair moment, perhaps the most buzzed-about portion of Monday's season finale was Georgina Sparks' surprise appearance toward the end - and her declaration that she will be attending NYU and rooming with Blair!
But with Michelle Trachtenberg, who plays Georgina, starring on a different series next fall, is she really joining the Gossip Girl cast, as this scene implies?

Q: I just finished watching the Gossip Girl finale, and it was awesome. My question for you is about Georgina: At the end of the episode she announced she was going to be Blair's roommate at NYU - strongly implying that she would be a presence, if not a regular character, in season 3. But Michelle Trachtenberg is in NBC's new drama, Mercy.
What does this mean about Georgina and Gossip Girl?
A: It means producers thought ahead and made sure Michelle Trachtenberg negotiated a three-episode Gossip Girl "out" in her Mercy contract. You didn't really think the Georgina-Blair roommate thing would last longer than that, did you?

Well if Mercy gets cancelled by NBC maybe they can lock her into a contract on GG. NBC cancelled Kings so Sebastian Stan is available now.

well 3 is better than nothing. i am so glad they aren't coming up with some lame plot device to explain why she doesn't show up in the fall. i just hope that they write it in such a way that she can continue to pop up throughout the series. i wonder if she really did do something crazy to poppy and that is why she has to leave. anyway, i think she could be a great addition, as a regular or reoccuring. i do't think we need more mains but i hope we see her more next season. it feels like we only ever get 3 episodes at a time!!
now what about sebastian stan??

Urgh, no Sebastian Stan, please. 1) he's ugly (he reminds me of a snake) 2) his character is a Chuck wannabe (but Stan can't deliver) 3) unless they explain his background better, he is only a filler: why te hell did he come back to help Serena? Can't Serena pay for a private detective for finding her father? (I know she's dumb, but not that dumb). Is he secretly in love with S? But wasn't he banging Blair, like, five eps ago?
As for Georgina, I don't know if I'm happy or not. I was actually quite looking forward to her and Dan having a relationship, but I guess we can't have everything. But I really don't care: the only three regulars that I really want are Erik, Dorota and Cyrus!
