Honestly, spin off is a cool idea, but Lily's past? Urgh..Its like telling the teenagers of today, "hey, its alright to be bad in your teens..you will still be pretty and your children will do it too..who knows, you'll be married 4 times too.."
I didn't really care about the spin off. Just Gossip Girl atm.

While potentially interesting, the spin-off just isn't attractive to the execs from the start. If they wanted LA in the early 90s, they could just reair the original 90210, which would've been heck of a lot cheaper. Plus, as it's set in the past, it limits the amount of product placement they can put in without causing problematic anachronisms. So again, they lose potential income.

I was totally disappointed. I was expecting lots for the spin-off. I was really excited and then it gets cut down when I saw the news on the Daily 10. Well it is for the goodness of the show. But I really want to know what Lily's life has been before. I am really looking for what it was like for the 80's. Please let this happen.
