Gossip Girl Forum Rules and Restrictions

Given the increased number of complaints we have received about some of the content of our Gossip Girl forum, we have put together a rules page. If you are a forum user please take the time to review this, as well as the message to you below.

We want you to enjoy this forum, get to know each other and have a blast. The Insider does not ever wish to restrict its Gossip Girl forum content, or delete user accounts from the forum altogether. Nor have we done so at all until recently.

However, these actions become necessary under two circumstances:

1. We receive numerous complaints from users of offensive, inappropriate content, thus adversely impacting others' enjoyment of the site.
2. We get complaints from advertisers regarding offensive, inappropriate content, thus jeopardizing our ability to pay bills and stay online.

So, use discretion, abide by the following Gossip Girl forum rules and have fun. Then no one will complain, forcing us to take no action. Agreed?

• Profanity is permitted in moderation - generally, strong language that has been used on the show itself, and used in reference to things Gossip Girl related, is not a problem. Anything crossing that line may be subject to filtering.
• As many people are friends here, topics other than Gossip Girl are allowed to be discussed, so long as they are not inappropriate conversations, or linking to spam. Again, keep it within reason, and there is no problem.
• Offensive, inappropriate images added to any threads may be subject to filtering and result in account suspensions. This includes personal icons. You know what we mean. Use your judgment and there won't be an issue.
• Personal attacks or repeated posting of inappropriate content will be dealt with through suspensions or, depending on the severity of the incident, permanent account deletion or and IP address ban.
• Off-site links unrelated to Gossip Girl can and will be considered spam.
