What does Serena's quest to locate her long-lost father, Keith van der Woodsen - who Carter Baizen apparently revealed the location of in the closing moments of the second season finale - mean for our girl's college enrollment in the fall?
Here's what TV Guide had to say about that in its new spoiler Q&A:
Q: Can we assume that Gossip Girl's Serena won't be attending Brown this fall now that she's off chasing Daddy Dearest?
A: Here's what Blake Lively told us about Serena's plans in the wake of being slapped with that paternal jaw-dropper. "She's thrown for this huge loop," she says. "There are a lot of things she's going to find out about her mom and her background."
In other words, it's sure looking like Serena van der Woodsen will not be heading to Providence in the fall... but she might not be in New York either.

So is she not going to college? Or is she gonna go like NYU or something?
I think maybe she will bring him back to Lily and he will break up Lily and Rufus :) and then Dan and Serena will be together in season 4!!!!!!

I hope they don't keep her away for too long! That's how TV shows fall apart. They need to all be in a relatively close distance of each other.

I THINK THE MYSTERIOUS KEITH VAN DER WOODSEN MIGHT COME IN BETWEEN LILY AND RUFUS...BUT FOR HOW LONG? I DEFINITELY THINK THAT NATE WILL BE THERE TO HELP SERENA THOUGH.

Serena's totally not going to Brown. Wasn't that obvious anyway? I mean they can't really keep everyone in New York, and then have her away in Providence. I think that Serena will find her father, and then eventually either enroll in NYU or become a model or something.
I can't wait for the fallout of Keith Van der Woodson though. His return is sure to ruin the Lily/Rufus bliss.

I agree when Keith come back, he will great affect the relationship between Rufus and Lily!
I am not sure if Nate has the ability to help serena! He is not smart, and not the family guy!
It will be Dan and serena, They will help each other to face up this big trouble
