She'll apologize and it will be done. I actually think the timing of everything is the funniest part. I mean the summertime when the show isn't even airing. PUBLICITY! If I was leighton I would sue the person for every sent they got off from selling the tape and use the money for a good cause or something. I will make sure that the person never enjoy the money that they received from my expense.
As for publicity. This may be good for the show, but will damaged leighton in the process. This just means that leighton will have to work a hundred times harder to get the respect of the fans that she lost. I know she will be able to do it. Look at drew Barrymore, it will just take time and dedication. Many people ask why we support her, the reason why is because all I see when I look at her is a talented actress and a possibly good future singer, who will probably be guarded when she is around people because of this incident. Its a shame considering how open and very grounded she is during her interviews.

The tape hasn't been released yet from what i hear from other people. They allegedly are negotiating for the rights. I wonder why this is taking them this long to do. Maybe the tape was illegally distributed.
On a nicer note I hope that its never released. If it is I hope Leighton can put on a brave face.

Clearly, there is a lot of "I told you so" in this. So, Leighton is not perfect and she has made a mistake in her youth that has clearly reared its ugly head as her career has started to take off. Yes. Is she probably humiliated and ashamed enough without having to endure the criticism and judgement of millions of people who are judging someone who probably has no control over the distribution of her private sex life? And yes, there are some people who may not like Blake (I think she's great, not very gifted, but very beautiful and plays her role quite well) and face it, regardless of whatever they've done that some people found offensive, this is on a whole new level and instead of comparing it to them, why don't we simply feel sad for the fact that Leighton is being violated all over with these pictures, as I'm sure most people with compassion would feel for anyone in the public eye subjected to such humiliation.
A lot of Leighton fans feel as though Leighton is the best girl in the world, and maybe don't like others so therefore do not feel as though they measure up, and while being mean on websites such as these to other celebrities is definitely not okay, that is their opinion because they are MEESTER fans and they are naturally going to think that LEIGHTON is better. Thats okay. Jessica fans who don't like Leighton have and probably would do the same. But when it all comes down to it, none of what people have said about others really relate to this at all. The truth is that we should all wait for how she handles the situation being the classy woman she is, and try to feel compassionate for someone who has made a mistake, instead of focusing on what people have said in the past.
This is about Leighton.

from now on, if you ever type leighton meester into google the first pages will be on the sextape. if you mention her to your friends, they'll say "oh, is that the sextape girl from GG?" much as many people are forgiving, this is going to really taint her reputation. just read the comments on perezhilton's site.
