Leighton? A sex tape? What? Why are people digging this stuff up? Either way. If the tape is not real: good. I love the girl, and she has my highest respect. However, if it is, then whatever. That was years back. She's different. I still have the same feelings for her.

Ya, I know what you mean. I don't view this any differently than I would if it was Blake or Jessica, it's an unfortunate mistake that happened in her past that was meant to be private.
My thing is just I can't stand 99% of Leighton/Blair fans that make excuse after excuse for her, but then completely go off on any little thing about other actresses. And the incessant need to always put down Blake or Jessica if something good happens for them. Perfect example is the award nominations that just got posted on here. Leighton wasn't nominated for the "hottie" category and Blake was, most of that thread and on other sites is about how much prettier Leighton is than Blake, Leighton deserves it more, blah blah blah. That's what I have the biggest problem with. They can't seem to understand that other people besides Leighton can enjoy success also.

To 'Thank you Karma'
I have noticed that, too- especially with all the unecessary hatred toward Jessica [Vanessa]. It's totally unwarranted and unjustified. Many people feel that they cannot possibly love Leighton and Vanessa simultaneously, almost as if they are enemies in real life. I love pretty much all of the Gossip Girl cast, as they are all very relatable.
I, in no way, shape, or form, hold Leighton on a pedestal; she is a normal girl who just happens to be in the public eye. I really do notice that MANY of her fans make excuses for just about everything she does, but I'm not like that. If you read my first comment, I simply state that a sex tape is a sex tape. If it were Jessica, Blake, even the actress that plays Dorota, I would not treat the situation any differently than the way I am regarding it with Leighton.
I guess my point is, no hard feelings toward anyone, Leighton fan or not:]

Actually I am 22 year old. I am in fact sane in mind and have seen way to much to fully bash on another person. I will in fact say that I think that Leighton will get heat from this like any scandal. In fact, I have never viewed leighton as a heavenly being. I thought she was a great young actress with a very becoming personality. Everyone here who are ready to throw her under the bus, go ahead. I am a firm believer that what was meant to be hidden will soon come and bite you in the ass later on. This is a girl who past has been on public display from day one. It didnt surprise me that there are people out there that would dig into other people pass. This is a given since she is a celebrity. The fact to the matter is that we all did something warranted as scandalous when we were young especially when we were in college. The reason that I am upset is that if girls out there who had a tough childhood or made major mistakes in life wanted to enter the world of acting will soon have their life open for the world to see and criticize them for. I feel the past doesn't define who you are, but how much you have manifest to become what you are today. Today leighton meester is a great actress and very down to earth to boot. As for all the people hating on her fans, then go right ahead, but please leave her alone, because there are other fans just as crazy. I don't remember this much people taking jessica back when the jenny fans were riping in to her. What about the fans of Ed that openly bash his girlfriend. Don't be pointing the finger the finger at only leighton fans because all of it is not warranted. As for the rest of the cast, they may have secrets they also dont want to come out. Not all of them is perfect. I just feel that leighton has gone through enough and to have this tape out there to purposely humiliate her just make me sick.
I feel that this girl is constantly being ripped apart and especially by people who she supposed to trust. This makes me feel cautious of everyone around me because there is no one you can trust.
Also where is this tape and why is it taking time for them to buy it. I feel as though we haven't heard the whole story. What if she was being blackmailed for this, what if her boyfriend made copies or a close friend was jealous of her fame. We have to take this into consideration also. I'm going to wait to see her reaction to this and how she rises above it, because that is the only way she could prove herself before the many self righteous asses that bash her for something that is yet to be verified as being true.

Thank you so much Karma! It is hilarious to me how the same leighton/blair fans that trash anything positive about another actress on our show are the same ones that are asking for sympathy now. I'm sorry, but you don't deserve it. Accept the fact that your beloved leighton isn't anywhere close to being perfect.
P.S. - Givememyloaf, you are part of a very small 1% of leighton/blair fans that are not like that. Majority of her fans are psychotic 13 yr old girls who can't handle anything thrown back in their face

AS for karma, you made your point to talk about the double standards of how they treat the other actresses. But I have the feeling that many bash jessica because of their jealousy towards her current relationship with ed westwick. As for as I Know even fans of jenny of ed has said something about jessica. As for blake, i like her and many others like her.

Hi, I havent posted on this board in a while. But I am seriously upset to the point of tears. You know why i am a fan of leighton is because i have a friend that went through this with a family member. This girl who in the heat of the moment did something with her boyfriend and a jealous friend posted these clips online for all to see. For a college student for all your peers to see you in your most vulnerable self and call you all sorts of names is embarrassing. She was completely violated and was abused to the point when she attempted to kill herself. I hate when people try to act all high and mighty and toss the first stone. I am truly sorry for Leighton meester because instead of her talent being looked as something amazing she will have to constantly apologise for something she did way in the past when she was young. Now I feel sorry to the upcoming actresses that decide to become famous and have to constantly watch they back from getting screwed over by a jealous friend or a money hungry jerk. I will continue to support leighton and am truly ashamed to see that her previous fans has decided to desert her. To those people imagine if you were in her shoes and then say again how you will feel to be called a slut and white trash. As for the tape, I hope it is never released. And that leighton can face all of you people that trash her with a dignified smile and total confidence.

I do see your point though. You're saying that if Leighton fans can call other actresses 'sluts' based on certain standards, than Leighton, in that perspective, would also be a 'slut.' I do understand it now.

In my first post, I also somewhat agreed with you- I said: "but am also dissatisfied with the slack some people are cutting her." And in my reply to you, I was just trying to tell you that all Leighton fans aren't the same.

I wasn't answering to you Giveme .. not in the first lines ,I just read through the thread and I'm talking about how the majority of Leighton fans here don't have any respect for other actresses ,I just read the Blake newest post and someone with a Blair icon call her tall oompa loompa also I read pages and pages of slut,white trash,attention whore comments about other actresses on this site,just for sexy pictorials,grungy attitudes or because of reveling outfits from people with Leighton/Blair icons.

I'm not a hardcore Leighton fan, but I would definitely not call her an "attention whore white trash slut." Doing things PRIVATELY and INTIMATELY with your boyfriend behind closed doors makes you a slut? Sure, they video taped it, but like most of these things, it was probably meant for their eyes only. I guess that would make everyone a "slut" in the bedroom or behind closed doors. Get over it. People will always give handjobs, blowjobs, footjobs, and engage in hardcore sex in private. The sad part is the fact that this part of her private life has been leaked for the public to see. But that does not make her any different from anyone.
Nobody, including "Karma," should preach about the definition of a slut when they do the same shit behind closed doors. Get over yourselves, you self-righteous asses.

To Karma, I, a Leighton fan, do show respect for other actresses- I have defended Jessica several times on this website, and I actually prefer Blake to Leighton. I feel that it's really hard to maturely answer you when you use a phrase such as "attention whore white trash slut." Please, show a little class and maturity.
Also, if you are right about the ‘hardcore sex’ statement, then I stand corrected about there not be sexual intercourse. I don’t, however, see ‘hardcore sex’ written anywhere, and a footjob is not intercourse. I find it hard to believe that the website that has the video would say “See sweet Leighton giving a footjob, ass closeups, her perfect breasts with perky pink nipples, stripping and more!” without mentioning intercourse if there actually was intercourse on film. They surely would mention that first, as it is the most taboo and controversial part of sex tapes.

I have mixed feelings about this; I am shocked at the number of ‘fans’ turning against her, but am also dissatisfied with the slack some people are cutting her. Yes, it was a stupid choice. But no, it does not make her a ‘slut.’ It simply makes her another actress owing another apology. Say sorry for making a stupid choice, and get on with it.
It is, however, VERY unfair to compare her to Kim or Paris. A) She is talented. They are purely famous for their gene pool and their looks. B) SHE DID NOT HAVE INTERCOURSE ON FILM. She caressed a guy with her foot [kind of silly to me- maybe they were just being playful], and was nude. Nudity should not be frowned upon. It’s just a naked person. She was with her boyfriend, and was obviously very naive. I hate to burst everyone’s bubble, but I really am not surprised by this- I’ve always seen an obscure, quirky, and DIFFERENT side to Leighton. She wears bold fashion, and seems very open with her body [Gossip Girl scenes, magazine shoots, dresses she wears, etc.] and there is nothing wrong with that.
I do not think fans should let this roll of their back, but I do think that it is not a huge deal. Yes, be disappointed- but don’t be condescending. Just show her some support- she is just a girl that made a mistake.
It is really sad above everything else, because I cannot even begin to imagine the humiliation she is going through- and I honestly can say that I do not think she 'deserves it.' Sex is sex, a penis is a penis, a camera is a camera, and a foot is a foot. Cool. Now let’s move on.

why wudnt the guy release it AFTER they come out, she will be a lot more famous then. He will get more.
Why didnt she buy them off the guy the moment she got famous in gg if she didnt want them released. maybe she released them herself?
