I don't get why people are bring Jessica into this conversation. She did some pictures for men's magazine, it was her choice to do so. They aren't even the same type of thing as a sex tape being release. I was really hoping it was just going to be a horrible rumour, but clearly it isn't, so..
I get what everyone's saying about it not being her fault, and it being private, which it totally is, but you have to remember,Leighton is a celebrity. A celeb's life is not private. Sure, it was a long time ago but she's been in movies for ages and even so, she always knew she was trying to get into show business, and that she could end up being a role model for the thousands of young girls who watch GG all over the world.
Whoever leaked it is a complete dick and should go to jail, and I will still respect Leighton, no matter what, she's beautiful, and incredible actress, and a great role model who's done loads for good causes, including domestic violence, but to be brutally honest, I will never see her in the same way again.
I guess we just find it hard to remember that she is NOT Blair Waldorf. She's a real young woman fighting hard to survive in the very harsh world of fame, and anyone who's managed to make it all the way to the top is never going to be totally innocent.
Let's just hope she gets through this. To lose such an amazing actress because of one stupid mistake would be a true scandal.

I really don't want to believe that she would leak something like this on her own for publicity (I really adore Leighton as an actress), BUT we really have to remember that there is a whole management and PR team behind her, that strategically handle her public image and exposure. If they found out about the tape, they may have persuaded her to release it at the right timing. It's really not that unbelievable. She's a young woman on the rise, starring in a successful tv-show and trying to launch a music career. I'm in PR, and believe me, things like this are planned all the time.

In no way was I ever suggesting that Jessica did anything wrong by posing provocatively in a mens magazine- the point was that there is no double standard, because Jess was posing in the public eye- which some people thought was a little slutty considering the scantily clad pictures or whatever (I personally thought she looked gorgeous, and yea, a little shaddy but I mean what celebrity doesn't do something of the sort. Lets take the time to see that as human beings we have compassion for someone who is probably humiliated beyond relief as HER private life is being watched, and as she is viewed in this awful exposure, all over. She has made a video meant to be private, and it has been exposed everywhere. Of course, to people like me, it WAS a mistake, because even for couples in love-- I don't think that making a stupid video like that was a smart move. But all the same, lets focus on the great things. I see no reason for us to judge someone for things we were never meant to see. I see no reason to judge someone who has shown such class over something we were never meant to see, which in itself was a irresponsible mistake from a young and time in her life. I hold Leighton accountable for making a video like that, in every way, and I don't think it was a very smart choice, but all the same I see the bigger picture, the bigger person. Frankly, they could have done that tape just to get more excited watching it again just the two of them, and repeat the dose. What a couple does in their intimicy, is between them.
