Dan and Olivia: Hot or Not?
News that Hilary Duff is coming to Gossip Girl this fall certainly caused a stir - and a mixed bag of strong reactions - when we posted it on Wednesday afternoon.
On Gossip Girl, Hilary will play a movie star (typecasting lives!) named Olivia Burke who seeks a traditional college life and ends up rooming with Vanessa at NYU.
Soon enough, she'll emerge as a love interest for Dan (Penn Badgley). Dan's last love interest was Rachel Carr (Laura Breckenridge), who was pretty unpopular.
Will Olivia meet a similar fate with fans?

I don't think she's pretty enough to even stand next to the cast of G.G. She looks like an alien and she's a bad actress. This was a mistake.

exactly, we might like her. plus she is just a ploy for DS storyline. so it will be ok.

Well, I don't love her. But I don't hate her. I don't think she'd "ruin" the show.
Also, yes, she's a famous personality and the GG cast is all fresh from the buds but let's give her a chance and not jump to conclusions AND stop hating.

I love DAN and DAN needs to be more entertaining in season 3. I like Hilary but she doesn't seem like she can play a pert, she won't make DAN more entertaining and people will keep saying he's boring. Why, CW, why??????
