Remember the scene we showed you photos from yesterday, showing Lily and Rufus apparently having a genuine, joyous reunion with long-lost son Scott?
Or is Scott (Chris Riggi) actually a lying weasel trying to come between Rufus and Lily (Matthew Settle and Kelly Rutherford) and make off with the latter's money?
Here's what E! Online has to say about the scene:
Believe it or not, the heartwarming reunion scene looks to be genuine! Sources say the kids (Dan, Serena, Jenny and Eric) learn about the half brother early in the season, but in episode five, Rufus and Lily finally meet their long-lost love child.
Turns out Scott is up to nothing more scandalous than his quest to find his birth parents after all. He's a good guy, it turns out. At least that's the word.
Interestingly, Scott's main story arc is the first five episodes of Gossip Girl Season 3, but he departs again after the big reunion. More likely than not, however, the character will recur again at some point later in the season in some capacity.

Well I am glad that Scott is not an a-hole, you know that Rufus and Lily do need to do the right thing towards their son, but uf he is only in on the show for a couple of episodes that why start a romance with Vanessa, well maybe she will get back with Nate, I am not liking Nate with this new girl, she looks snobby and uptight.

I am genuinely pleased that Scott is a good guy. I think we need more of them on Gossip Girl. It might sound boring, but I think he will provide a good balance to the show. The picture looks really sweet and tear-jerking, I seriously cannot wait until the third season!

I liked him better when we thought he was going to be a crazy stalker who was following Dan around. Now I"m just bored with the character, and the season hasn't even started yet. Make him a psycho - it'll be awesome!

I agree with Susie BC. I don't want him to be another boring charakter. I liked the idea of bad Scott better.
