if they want V to have more screen time...then it better be about someone trying to murder her and she dies in the end...the episode where she dies will probably have the highest rating of all time LOL maybe 2nd highest, cos the highest would be the final episode where Chair would get married!

Or they can make Scott a REALLY PSYCHO that kills V because she left him with all this rufuslily thing and then that would be interesting also xD

WHAT THE SHOW REALLY NEEDS IS TO GO BACK TO ITS ROOTS! I MEAN, WHAT'S UP WITH ROCKER/PUNK JEANNY? I THINK PEOPLE WHO WATCH GG WANNA SEE PREPPY, WEALTHY AND HEADBANDS! IT'S JUST LIKE THE O.C, AT FIST IT WAS SO COOL AND THEN IT WAS SOO BORING. WHY IS THAT? BECAUSE PEOPLE WANNA SEE THE LIVES OF RICH AND SPOILED PEOPLE! WHEN MARISA AND SUMMER SUDDENLY BECAME LIKE THE ANTI-EVERITHING-PREPPY AND SHALLOW, IT WAS DEFINITELY LESS INTERENTING THAN BEFORE!

Also, even if they dont kill Vanessa, they could at least make an episode ending about it, like she is involved in some kind of accident. We could goosip if she was alive or not...LOL.
After that she could discover that the meaning of life is to be with the ones we love and come back to Vermont to be with her mom...
Man, I really want Vanessa to go!lol

N: real story line. where's the clueless-but-genuine nate from the books? this is why the NB ship burned down on the show.

It's definitely the timeslot. Please don't go on finding faults with the show. I don't think that that many episodes have been aired to judge that it's not doing well. Another thing is that please stop trying to get Nate to show some action. His chararter is a major screw-up so is Serena's but her being with Carter makes me actually like her(sorry Darena fans). We don't need to kill off Vanessa. She's just annoying but if she's not there then who are we gonna bitch about?:) And for more and more Chair scenes, we don't want so many that it ends up being like Darena's boring relationship. Ok I'm done.

funny thing. i was checking the news for Chuck and Heroes rating slide minutes before reading this one.
quick solution? they should just kick off V. lol
seriously. though i love GG, it yet lacks a serious story arc. i was watching VampDi and i thought 'this is a series with a direction'. GG's stalling. i KNOW there are a lot of issues to be covered still (those from the books need to be brought up). it has potential and that's why i'm sticking with it.
at least the writer's made CB get together. they're epic.

Okay...I'm hoping the ratings go up some this season because I'd really hate to see this show get cancelled when it gas so much potential.
1. Get rid of Vanessa...nobody likes her.Everyone could care less what she does.I mean seriously.
2. Stop making Nate such a manwhore! Come on..he's been with every girl on the show and after he's been with all of them they have to bring in guest stars for him to sleep with.Put him with Jenny.I liked it that way.
3. Jenny...please do something with her.She's an interesting character! Don't let her potential go down the drain.She's queen of Constance now.
4. Eric! He's funny! And so adorable!!! Plus he's interesting.Give him more screentime please.
5. Make Whoregina disappear.That's so old.We're over her.
6. Dan/Serena?! Hello...some of us want them together!!
7. Serena....try to make her not such a self absorbed brat.She's just flat out annoying now.I wish she would get over her self.
8. Chuck and Nate...they're still bffs right??Because that bromance is MIA.
9. Where exactly is Gossip Girl?Has she just disappered from the planet Earth?...
10. And lastly,the time change! Why did you change the time slot of the show.I liked watching it at seven instead of eight.I have no idea why they put One Tree Hill on at seven instead.It makes no sense.Switch the time slot.
I think everyone here pretty much agrees on what's wrong with the show now.Hopefully the writers step it up.

I watch GG online cos whre I come from, we don't air GG :(
Anyways I gues the timing of the show is rather impt, but what matters most is that the story lines are as captivating as before, enough for one to say "I'm gonna watch GG over _____", "I'll watch GG before I continue with my assignments" or simply just to keep loyal viewers entertained.
So heres my take on this
1. DAN & SERENA PLS. I think they have the most chemistry (second to Chair), well ofcos since they are a couple in real life.
2. QUEEN B! Rly cant tolerate thse scenes where Blair is made to be so 'loserish'. Like helllooooo, Blair's our only queen!
3. VANESSA. I don't really hate her, but her presence is really
redundant. It wont even make a difference if she's there or nt. Dont waste airtime and lets get down to making Blair the QUEEN.
4. More UES! I mean UES kinda distincts GG from other shows. I really hate thse NYU scenes with Blair looking lost. UESUES.
5. No more Nate the Manwhore PLS. For now its like "so what if bree and nate get tgtr? no one cares". Instead, the writers ought to think of an interesting sl for Nate. All tt talk about family and grandfather is getting really boring.
6. WHERE IS GOSSIPGIRL. I rly miss thse scenes where everyone gets a text from GG and start buzzing. The show is no longer "gossipy"
7. Serena's getting really boring and irritating. Some Dan would do her good.

I do not want to see Dand and Serena back together, im sorry. they were great in season 1 but in season 2 things just got complicated between them, they have a brother, there parents are getting married, i much prefer 4 lily and rufus 2 be together. i dont like carter i never have and never will, and nate's to boring for serena, how about leaving serena single? none of these r the golden couple, chuck and blair r the must be together couple! but jenny could use a boyfriend and N/S/D/C/B/J could act like friends, get into trouble, help each other out,fight like before

I think killing off Vanessa would be a signal to the fans that finally the writers are listening to us, rather than their usual MO of promising us what we want is coming, only to give us the opposite. It would make me more willing to give them another chance. ANybody else remember after the Elle thing "Chuck remembers who is important to him?" which was IMMEDIATELY following by the Vuck. Seriously, the writers looked at last season and the reaction and decided we wanted Blair on the bottom again (she was there all last season!) and more Vanessa? Really?

@insert, I think bringing up V and C again is a totally lame idea...everyone hates her and loves C & B, and now you want them to be together? the rating will go wayyyyy down I assure you! I say kill V or at least make her migrate to some country and never come back! She doesn't deserve to be with any of the main character guys especially C!!!

I think 99.9% of the gossip girl viewers HATE Vanessa. So why keep her on? I was annoyed how she took over the first two episodes of season 3. WTF was that? Please write her off. She doesn't look good with any of the characters so there's no point in putting in her the show. Also, i don't why the eff people keep wanted her with Nate. She's a troll!

The show has become a little boring and repetitive. None of the characters seem to have grown up. Serena, Blair, Chuck, and Nate are all doing the same stupid things they did in season one. There needs to be more character development and growth. Yes we all love these characters, but the writers should improve upon them and their storylines. Killing Vanessa, as annoying as she may be to some, will not make more people watch the show suddenly. I watch the show more out of loyalty than because it actually interests me. I check out spoilers and GG websites to see the latest news, and if the show will improve.
People have been watching the show online since the beginning of the series so that really isn't a factor. The time change is actually better for the show because there is less competition for the demographic. The only competition for the demographic would probably be Greek, but that comes on cable. GG is advertised a lot more compared to the other shows on the network that get better ratings (Supernatural, One Tree Hill, and Smallville). OTH was moved to a time slot with more competition, gets less advertisement, lost 2 main characters, and still managed to retain its audience from the same week. GG should be able to do the same.
