1. i've been looking forward to see serenate for 2 seasons!! make them a storyline, also B&S&N love triangle would be nice
2. chair - their relationship needs to be spicy as it was in the last 2 seasons
3. what's wrong with blair??? the Bitch needs to be back as well as gossip girl
4. more little J !!
5. and do something with vanessa she's really getting annoying

Gossip Girl
started out to be a show that was very cleverly plotted out, great character development, and the writers knew exactly where they were going with it. The problem now is that it seems that they no longer know where it is going, that, even if they have an idea to where it is heading, they don't seem to be writing it as well as season 1 for example, a fan favourite.
I may not be a writer, but I can say that some of the episodes have not been up to par with that of the earlier standard set. Each episode had great Character development ecah episode had its own selp story and plot and it also had a good season long story arc . And as for the gossip girl itself, the hint is in the title, its meant to be good, the whole city are meant to be gossiping and everyone on their phones checking the lastest juicy gossip.
Recently, although the show is still good, it's not good enough that it's keeping the ratings and viewers. The writers need to start planning and writing like the first season, when it felt so fresh. I believe that the writers can create a season better than the first and still make it feel fresh. But the storylines of, nothing really happens, but Chuck and Blair kiss, and Georgina seeks revenge don't seem to be strong enough to hold an entire episode or an entire season of 'Which Gossip Girl character will do something over the top to get revenge" because the first season wasn't about that.
Basically the show's writers need to think about the scripts and character development, because at the minute 90210 is beating Gossip Girl with it's great storylines and character development this season.
Let's hope that when Gossip Girl returns, we all will love her again

This one is easy. The ratings have gone down because they graduated and no longer in high school. Kids and adolescents can really relate. Now that they're older and out of high school they lost their appeal and high school audience. The kids wanna see more high school drama not some college/growing up stories that are going astray. If you ask me, this is what happened.

Okay, so not one person gets why GG is tanking... How sad. The principle reason that the show is tanking is simply this - bad writing, as well as story lines and characters that are never allowed to develop into anything. First and foremost, the series should have began with the main characters starting out their freshman year in school. A school year should have run at least two episodes. Instead, in two and half short seasons all the main characters have gone from high school to college. Oh and wait, because of a turn of events, they all abandon their Ivy League dreams and end up at NYU. Oh please!!! Thus far, all the main characters have had sex with one another. And what the hell happened to Poppy when she pranced out of the restaurant with the money? And wasn't it just two episodes ago that Chuck bought a hotel? What happened to Bad Serena? Serena a murderer really? Nate and Blair, Nate and Vanessa, Nate and Serena, Nate and the married woman, Nate and the Buckley Girl. Stop!!! The writers on the show should all be fired immediately. Take a look at a show like Glee. Fabulous writing. Great story. How difficult can this be? Hollywood is full of talent writers who could turn this show around.

Ok so I still love Gossip Girl but let's be honest, some serious changes need to be made to keep things interesting! First off, Blair needs to regrow her backbone. She is pathetic. Even if she can't be "queen" she should adapt and make it work. (A random comment that has nothing to do with the ratings-Blair's style is awful...Bring back the edgy prep look and dark wavy hair! She was so gorgeous and now she's just blah.) Anyway, another thing is the whole Blair-Chuck relationship. I was always one to root for Chair but now their relationship is dull. They seem more like a married couple than college students in love. I need Chuck's wild side to come back a bit as well. I miss his old antics. As for Serena-love the clothes, love the mysterious (and hot!) Carter Baizen. I just wish there was more, dare I say it, drama. We all know Carter doesn't have the best track record, so let him show his true colors. I still feel like I'm waiting for something, ANYTHING, to happen. The problem is that there've been 4 episodes and nothing of any consequence has happend. And another thing, where's Gossip Girl? Other than her thing at the beginning I don't feel like she's even there. What happend to the gossip bombs she used to drop? I also must agree with just about everyone else that we need to see everybody together again. I feel like they're all living their seperate lives and there's no interaction.
Anyway, I hope it gets better. I'll always be a fan, unfortunately the show is just going downhill.

Gossip girl season 3 is so boring and completly different from the past 2. This season i feel like its 5 different shows, their all so separeted and not together any more like the used to be. I think the show went "all college too fast" B,C,S,D,N act waaaay too old and boring now, they used to be so interesting an fun in season 1 and 2. espicially chuck what happened to him. and blair they both seem so weak now. they need to stop punishing blair in NYU, she needs to be queen again other wise shes just boring, Jenny needs a huge story line, after all she is queen B of constants NOW!!! maybe she could end up with nate again they were so cute or maybe jenny cold fight with another queen B from another elite school.
Vanesse needs to go, she could be the next death/muder story line in GG.
Gossip needs to be glam again or its gone. i would be heart broken if GG got cancelled

This show is really sucking!
I mean none of the characters have REAL Story lines. There is never anything to look forward to in the next episode. There is no continuous story. It pisses me off soo much. The show only focuses on is Chair...and they think everyone loves them. Why do you think the ratings dropped? Chair used to be interesting but they are not anymore. Thats why only a handful of people watch GG now.
Also bring Derena BACK!!! WTF were the writers thinking when they decided to go with the Rufus and Lilly's son storyline? And now if Rufus and Lilly actually get married that will make more than half of the cast related...which is gross.
And whats with introducing new love interests' for everyone almost every single episode. They're is like no, for the lack of a better word, realness to the show. It is so fake and I feel like no one can relate to it.
In conclusion:
Bring Derena back...and this time with amazing buildup and make them fight for each other a little. Don't just put them together and break them and put them back together only to break them up again.
Kill the Rufus and Lilly storyline...their son, their marriage and what not.
Somehow make Chuck and Blair less annoying. Like they used to be. I mean I was never a true fan of theirs, but they seemed better in S2.
There should be more drama. Relevant drama. Not that Blair needs to rule her high school again. Or Blair is not popular in NYU anymore. Like who the hell cares about that? And Serena still doesn't know who she is anymore crap is so dumb! Is Nate even on GG? There are so many characters and none of them has an interesting storyline.
They need to fix this show ASAP!!

i think it is bc there is not enough mystery. last season you never knew what would happen next. this season is very predictable and a little too sweet. we need a little more drama and cattines.

Gossip Girl hasn't really gone downhill.. The production, actors and (of course) the fashion has been as stellar as always, and the show's savvy one-liners have kept me hooked. For me, what it lacks right now is a solid plotline. Maybe it's just been slow in the development this season, but I still don't know what all the episodes are leading to. Haha maybe the first 2 were just a bit... Juicier. :)) OH. More Nate please. He's been isolated from everybody and I'm not buying into the whole family politics thing. What's the deal with Bree? She seemed pretty useless. Pretty and useless. XP haha shame though. I liked her character.
On the other hand though, we saw some real story arc potential in the 4th episode. Maybe it'll get better as the season progresses.

Gossip Girl starts in the UK this week,
so if you count the viewings that will come from that they will go wayy up! as its like the most watched programme on ITV2 (the channel its shown)

its failing because greek is on at the same time and they both have the same target audience so unless youre using youre dvr and recording them you have to miss one they should put gossip girl on wednesday at 8 and bump tip model to 9 since they cancelled that horrible show tbl and nothing goods on wednesday so no competition

The show is starting to really tank... Everyone needs to get back together as friends. My favourite episodes of Gossip Girl were the ones when the original group of friends were together (School Lies, Hi Society...) Georgina needs to get cut, she's just annoying and I fast forward through her parts anyway. I don't think I like Bree too much either, she seems nice enough but she makes Nate boring. I like Scott on the show though, and I like how Carter is back. But PLEASE don't keep Tyra and Hilary Duff on for long, I will stop watching if they become regulars.

Are you kidding with this entry? The show Rocks. Always has and will continue to rock. The writers are brilliant. Genius. Show is fantastic. The whole new dimension of CHAIR, Carter, Bree Buckley (that actress is adorable). The people on this show are too hot, too classy, too interesting to ever go away!

Funny thing that the delusional NB fans are going back saying that GG is not GG without them. PLEASE, CB is one of the only things worth to watch on GG for almost everyone. I love another characters and couples maybe, but I would NOT watch this show without CB (like the last season 2nd part when NB got back together in that annoying pointless storyline? I (and another people that I know) totally didn't watch and just skip the episodes until a good one with CB came up).

Since the middle of GG season 2 the show has gone downhill. The end of season 1 was good the beginning of season 2 was exciting but a lot of the storylines they threw out the gutter. And like the resolution with poppy it came WAYYYY too fast. The storylines need more time to develop especially if they are actually interesting. and drama packed. The writing is getting worst. The timeslot is not something to be desired. at 9? one tree hill should be at that timeslot. I don't know changes are bad. Mostly it's just missing some good storylines. Blair is still a good character. Serena is becoming more boring without dan and dan is getting more boring without her. They both became boring meanwhile they were such good characters during the first season. Serena is too good girl now.

Chair is just about the only thing worth watching on the show. WTH is going with Nate, can't stand Bree with him, I end up yawning. Nate can draw an audience but come on writers give the actor something worthwhile to sink his teeth into.
Georgina, what is she doing back? Dan with Georgina? shudders.
Give me Nate and Sabrina, they are super hot together and somehow he is less boring with her.
Carter, what is he doing back on the show?
Aside from major CHAIR love I'm not enjoying this new season at all yet.

sorry got cut off! as i was saying =D as for nate. oh do i love chace crawford! but he needs a whole new story line!!! hes hot everyone knows it but he had the best storylines with bliar and serena. he used to be so interestingg. but now hes boring!? it's so sad. add him in a love triangle or with blair or serena. i like blair more but either or is fine =). as for v and n? NOO. there way to boring together. im telling you right now lol, it would be a snoozefest. anyway ill keep watching but please take in mind everything thats been said. ps: chill with the guest starts! and love d and s friendship!
(btw add more friend moments! with all five cast members!)

i love gossip girl but its still just heading down hill. but i don't want the show cancled! they just need to start opening up there ears a little more. season one was the best. that was deff. a great platform. it had just the right amount of drama, make out sessions, right couples, perfect love triangles..everything!! but season two was already loosing some of the spice! i still like season two it was great but not as great as season one. the writers need to look back at season one and really focous on certain things i uderstand a lot of the fanbase is chuck and blair..obviously, people are OBSSED with them lmao but we need to switch things up. i don't want chuck and blair to be a couple for like ever just because everyone loves them. are they hot. of course!! but seriously? im having way to much of them. it's starting to get so boring. it was great for like end of season one to like mid way season two but seriously? it kind of needs to take a break!! as for dan and serena. WTF did you add scott. that made it 10x worse. no one cares about the parents/problems etc. it's boring =( . with vanessa i mean i don't like her but ill deal! and as for jenny. add the prep style back again. we don't want a punk queen b. we want a preppy bad girl image! =) . as for nate. oh do i love chace crawford!

oh gossip girl, how i miss you. im so dissapointed in you.
i LOVED gossip girl when it first came out, i never missed an episode. and when season three started i was disappointed but hopeful that in the next couple episodes it would pick up. and well after tonight i realize that its not happening. i have no problems with time slots. i would watch gossip girl over any other show on. but now im not sure i will keep doing that. season 1 was was really the pinnacle of the series. season two wasnt as great, but i kept watching because after all i loved the show. but seriously season 2, was ridiculous! the whole blair chuck game was fun at first but by the end we were all just tired and werent even that excited when they got together. the whole secret society thing was incredibly stupid. dan and serena on and off, stupid. the gabe stealing money and serena getting it back, SUPER stupid. i miss season 1 when it was about realistic drama, and not ridiculous scenarios. as far as season 3, YAWN. what the hell, the best drama you could come with was that blair and chuck wanting the same picture? SERIOUSLY? oh and that georgina was incredibly creepy? (what shock). i miss the fashion too. i know its gossip girl but i feel like the fashion has just gotten weird. during season one i loved the clothes and would actually love to wear it, now, not so much. like some of the stuff this season i wonder what they were thinking. i miss the bold and bright colors of season 1. basically what it boils down for to me is:
stop the ridiculous plot lines, have the characters interact again, have a long story line, not just little one episode things, stop with the guests (its hard to keep up and its annoying), and uhhh dress in a way that is fashionable but still realistic. (aka, don't have blair looking like an elf again).
