umm.. amazing episode. period. but i cant just leave it at that!
    OMJC!!:
    - so naturally everyone loves "she stole my shoes?" cult favourite. but i love the detail "my Bottegas. Where are they?"

    - also a fave line " Dorota's counter intelligence skills arent what they used to be.."

    - i wish blair's deductive reasoning was a bit better.. i understand wanting to be a part of a higher social order.. but if La Table Elitaire is as elite as she says.. and i assume they would be.. i mean this IS blair.. I'm sure their invite would be in calligraphy - cursive at the LEAST - and not in.. say.. Georgina's 2nd grade block letter printing.

    - i have to route for Carterena although their demise is imminent. after Carters smile at the end?! how can you not love?!
(although i really wish he would stop just popping out of the crevices of New York.. where the eff is his mail forwarded?!

    - on another Carter note.. what did he do to the Buckleys? Brees language made it sound like they were related.. but then that would result in an identity change (his last name isnt Buckley.. obviously) so i'm thinking.. her sister-like-cousin. maybe she cougar`d out and carter worked his charm and then he said TTYL to his bride-to-be?

    - i LOVE Bree and Vanessa. sorry. but i like most characters.

    - am i the only one that gets creeped out by Scott and Vanessa being together? they look related..

    - on a creepy orphan note: How on earth did Lily and Rufus manage to create a child that looks Cherokee?

sidenote: the only "Georgina" a girl should have in her closet is Georgina Chapman.

    - Jenny's dress at the penthouse definitely deserved more than its 27 seconds on air..

    - is Eric gonna wear that shirt all season?

    - Lily is back next episode =D =D =D i miss our SophistiMILF

    - a dress from the same collection as Serenas Sothebys dress on sale for 50% off! same colour! http://www.theoutnet.com/product/51386

    - Dan either needs his season 2 hair.. or less sideburn..

ummmm can i think of anything else?..
    going once.. going twice..

  2. janeymid Says:

I agree why is everyone jumping to conclusions the season has just begun. I also agree how can One Tree Hill have more ratings and have been around for so long. The characters are so blah. I hope GG writers/producers learn from their mistakes.
I have to go back to one of my earlier points. Chuck/Ed & Blair/Leighton are amazing. I love their 'inexplicable chemistry', but I feel they are struggling to outshine their actual real (current) relationships with the other actors on the show. This is why I am not so happy about any Carter and Vanessa's storylines. It takes away from the suspension of disbelief. Instead of titalating I just find it all a bit messy and unnecessary.
I have to disagree the only scene that wasnt that great between Chuck and Blair was the make out scene. They were lying a mile apart. They are ultimate professionals so are giving it a good try, but that passion of earlier love scenes is missing. Their relationship on and off screen is deffinately clouding the scenes somewhat. It does seem 'less fluid', they are conscious of not getting too involved!!! Even so they are genious together.
I hope this series will continue for many seasons to come and they don't all move on to bigger and better things like I fear they will. I am determined to fully enjoy this series. It is joy to see them act together and we should make the most of them while we still can.

  3. Mary Says:

I don't know why ppl are so pissed with this episode. To me it was the best one so far.
LOVED all Chair scenes. Chuck and Blair fighting for the Sotheby's picture? Priceless! And of course, the SWEETEST end.
I loved how they planned for Carter, but they could've been less obvious...
I specially L-O-V-E-D how that Scott guy is finally leaving the show. He and his storyline are so awful it is not even worth to say more than this.
And I also LOVED the connection line between Bree and Carter. About time for Nate and Bree's story to have a connection with other characters. Maybe it will make less boring.

  4. Kimmie Says:

    The episode was awesome.
I find it funny that Nate got less screen time this episode than the last. I would consider it a good thing because that time could definitely be put to better use. What was the point of him anyway?
Can Dan ever do one episode without stuttering or babbling? Seriously, guys who do that can sometimes be cute but if it’s in their nature that I am going to have a heart attack.
Serena and Carter, hmm I get a feeling that Carter is just another guy to her as she is to him. They can never last. It was definitely funny what Chair did to him. It serves him right.
Yay!!! There was more than like triple the amount of Chair scenes than in the last episode. The quality could definitely improve. I found it hard to believe that Chuck can resist Blair in the first scene of them together. Like he said, he has hours before the meetings so I really don’t see the problem. However, I saw a new pair of suspenders. Hot Damn. Also, the scene where Blair gave him the paintings and said, “Because I love you,” I wanted to smack him because he didn’t say it back and he let her walked away. Ugh! The mini make out scene of Chair in her dorm was hot. When Georgina mention something about the size of the sock made me crack up. She’s implying how well Chuck and Blair performance is. The scene when they were doing the auction was funny. Blair use Chuck’s secret weapon against him. I felt like it was so sweet that Chuck said, “Because you believe in me, “to Blair but he could have also said, “I love you”. Overall Chair stole the show because it was awesome. I hope there will be even more of them together next episode.

  5. blairfan22 Says:

I don't understand why the hell One Tree Hill consistently has (slightly) better ratings than Gossip Girl. I could never, ever watch that show for one whole episode!

  6. xoxosexylv57 Says:

I can say this - I'd MUCH rather have GG start off slow and then progress to awesome-ness than the clusterfuck that was pretty much episodes 2.16-2.25. Yeah, I love C/B but 2.25 didn't do it justice. And while 3.01 and 3.02 weren't over the top amazing, 3.03 was really great. I think we're also forgetting that in Gossip Girl seasons 1 and 2, the main characters were already juniors then seniors, so we didn't have to see them struggle or rise to the top or get accustomed to a new environment. So let's chill with all the bashing, I think at the very least I can say that I am enjoying season 3 more than the late last half of season 2. sheeeeeeesh

  7. Supergirl Says:

A FABOLOUS EPISODE. LOVED SERENA AND CARTER. CHUCK AND BLAIR ARE THE MAIN RESON FOR GG BUT SUDDENLY WE HAVE ANOTHER COUPLING I DON´T FALL ALSEEP TO OR CREEP ME OUT. AND CHUCK, SOOO IN LOVE WITH HER IT´S ALMOST SCARY :-)

  8. blateforever3214 Says:

    good episode!

  9. Lauren Says:

To tell you the truth I think this episode was good and better than the last two. I liked Vanessa in this episode because she is acyually showing EMOTION in this episode. I also liked the CHAIR interactions and Blair walking in on Dan and Georgina was hilarious. I loved the quote where Blair said, "From Serena to Georgina? Quite a fall, even for you." I literally was laughing for ten minutes. Dan and Blair have good Comedic timing when doing something physical like when Blair threw the sock at Dan and he ducked it is so funny. And of course Serena and Carter I loved too.

  10. Chairplay Says:

As I have stated in other threads. I love this episode but the hopeless romantic in me needs to hear Chuck say a little more than because you believe in me stuff. Call it fluff, call it what you want but Blair has repeatedly in Season 2 told Chuck she loves him and we finally heard him say it in the finale. So, let's hear the Bassman say it now more often now that he can finally say it out loud!

    That's all!

  11. esp Says:

Any episode with lots of Chair witty and hot interactions is fine by me. This couple is 99% of the reasons why I watch GG.
    "She stole my shoes", lol.

  12. ChairLover Says:

Can we please see more of Chair??????

  13. GeorgieGirl Says:

Chuck and Blair owned the episode as usual! I simply adored every scene they were in!
Georgina was great too! Her comment on the "big sized sock" on the door handle was hilarious. Best line though goes to Chuck Bass once again: "I'm going to risk it all on my own, with my girlfriend's belief in me, my high school diploma and my pink bowtie"!
Bree is starting to sound interesting, unlike Nate who's painfully boring these days.
On the whole, a highly entertaining with lots of Chair scenes episode!

  14. Nick Says:

Just love, love, love, love, love...Chuck and Blair!!!

  15. Maria Says:

    Nice episode!

Chuck & Blair - still the only reason to watch this show!!! The are so amazing together! I love the whole business spin with Chuck. I wish they would show more of them making out. Just please don't let them break up whatever you do!!!

Scott and this whole story - not that interesting.

    Serena & Carter...a bit boring...

Georgina and Vanessa show be off this show asap!

  16. More Chace Says:

Why would they take away Nate? He basically no longer exists on the show and it is really sad.
Bring back Nate! and put him back with Serena!
Also when is Lily going to show up?! She really doesn't know that Serena didn't go to Brown?

  17. Eves Says:

I agree with the majority of the comments. This episode was funny and all Chair scenes were fabulous! Give us more Chair scenes please!
The "Santorini" thing was too much fuss about nothing (like the non-murder and the non-marriage Serena's stories in the past).
That Scott guy is a really bad actor and he completely destroyed all the "lost son" drama with his poor acting skills. Another useless GG story line down to the drain.

  18. mrs jackson Says:

This ep rocked! Chair were awesome! It's all getting right back on track now, people should stop looking for faults cos they are ruining it for themselves- this was classic GG, enjoy!

  19. Gina Says:

Chuck and Blair were funny but they overact to much Chuck whispering and Blair faces are annoying and so fake, the weird thing is when they act with other characters they didn't overact,I feel like the EL chemistry is gone.

despite that the episode was great¡

  20. ponk Says:

OMG I love this episode!!! CHAIR is epic!!!!!!!!!!!!
my heart just melts when B gave the painting to C....so much love between them...they're the perfect couple and the sole reason I watch the show!
love Chuck's shoe line LOL thats hilarious

  21. janeymid Says:

I am loving this season even though I am finding it infuriating.
The humour is a welcome return, some great one liners this episode.
I know I am biased but I think we already have one bad guy turned good (Chuck). I can't see where Carter fits in unless they make him 'really' bad. I don't want him vying for air time with Ed and confusing my Chair love with his real relationship with Leighton e.g. distracted by watching what they do in scenes together.
Dan's character seems to be the only one to have evolved in a good way. I like Penn's acting, he's easy to watch. I do hope there is a bit of Serena and Nate action, but ultimately that she get's back with Dan.
Vanessa looks much better but her acting is so wooden. Sorry she never convinces me.
Nate is so beautiful but boring. Does Chase not have any say in the direction of his character. I don't think he cares and it comes across. Thinking of bigger and better things maybe!!
Serena just looks good but does not add much else. It is nice to see her still there, but initially she was the number one character.
Is it by accident or design that the only intresting pairing is Chuck and Blair? The others no matter how they try to manipulate the storylines seem like wallpaper. I have to say this must be due to superior acting/chemistry of Ed and Leighton. They are the only two I want to watch.
GG S3 getting better all of the time. I think/hope it is on an upward climb. I only wish there were longer Chair scenes and more music.

  22. GGorgeous Says:

    Pros:
    -exciting episode (twists, plot, etc.)
-Dan and Serena moments- wish they were more but friendship is good for now (they are such a HOT looking couple though)
-Serena winning the bid for the picture and then giving it to Blair to fix the mess between her and Chuck. so classic Serena!
-Chuck and Blair finally having their time together at the end plus all their scenes.
    -quick ending to Georgina/Dan
-loved that Chuck bought the hotel!
-Serena put Georgina in her place at the end of the night

    Cons:
-Scott saying he was the brother was just awful and disappointing. I mean come on!
    - not a lot of Jenny and Eric
-Nate's role (he was so hot when he hooked up with Serena in the beginning- maybe make a plot for them NOW!)
-Georgina is just psycho. I can't wait until she leaves.
-Blair's dress at the auction. It looked like something i wore in 6th grade.
-I absolutely hate that Chuck continues to act so much older than he really is. I know it's his character but still, it gets annoying after a while. But I do like his seductive character.
    - I'd like to see Chuck and Blair's relationship heat up a little more now.

Overall, pretty good episode, but some major things are missing with certain characters. Hope next week is good!

  23. Jenny Says:

Why the hell don't we get to see Jenny anymore ????

  24. weh Says:

never dare compare Carter to Chuck! Carter is so lame. trying hard to be Chuck! Chuck is the original bad/sweet guy in the show!

  25. GossipGirly Says:

I liked the ep better than the previous ones this season. I liked chuck&blair and I actually thought some interesting storylines where starting to evolve... Hope they'll work with them more than in season 2, where they would just break things up and hop on to something else.
However... I am not buying the thing about Serena & Dan suddenly being totally comfortable as friends & siblings. That just not very credible. And it's totally obvious they still have major chemistry :P
