It had been too long, we were starting to wonder.
Blair and Serena haven't been involved in a nuclear fight in a good while now, but Michael Ausiello of EW says it's just a matter of time until that changes.
Here's what he has to say in his weekly Q&A ...
Q: I’m tired of some people bitching about Gossip Girl being in some kind of creative slump or funk this year. I’m loving this season. Got any good scoop?
A: I’m (mostly) loving this season, too. The Chuck-Blair stuff continues to be immensely satisfying. And Hilary Duff isn’t as annoying as I predicted.
On the scoop front, there’s a big Blair-Serena blow-up coming. The frenemies will definitely be on the outs for a little bit.
What do you think it's all about?

So am I. I think this season is so great. :)

Hmm, I'm guessing it's about Chuck, due to the whole 'bros before hoes' spoiler. Chuck and Serena get into a fight, and Blair takes Chuck's side. At least, that's what I hope happens ;p
@BWaldorf -- totally agree, this season is awesome so far.

Well. I have to dissagree. Even I feel SOOO bad just saying this, but I dont realy love this third season. I was waiting for that September 14th for soo long, and now I dont even love it.
I am still watching it, and still hoping for better, but still...there is something that I dont like (but even I havent figure it out yet what:)).
I sooo love Chuck and Blair. Maybe is now just not that interesting, because they are finaly together after almost all two seasons.

I don't like them falling out. I can't stand Serena when she fights with Blair.
They're best together.

What I'm tired of is people not being entitled to an opinion anymore. Personally, I think there has been a bit of a creative funk, but that won't stop me from watching. GG has been through slumps before. Not to say that I disagree with people who are loving or entirely hating this season... I just wish the boards were a bit more positive like they used to be. Now all it is is personal attacks (not in this particular thread, just what I've been seeing). It makes me not even want to share anything.
Still, I do somewhat love some Blair-Serena dramz, but I don't feel the girls have had enough air time together this season to warrant it. I have really been missing that facet of the show, in which the girls actually rely on each other. I know it shows their growth and independence to have storylines separate from one another, but those two stated they were family to each other in last season's prom episode. I need to see some more of that before they quarrel again.

Well...I am not a fan of this season at all. But really I just responded to say how much I agree with this:

I'm enjoying season 3 more and more, although it did start out kinda disappointing with no steamy Blair/Chuck scenes and few Blair/Serena scenes. I thing writers wasted a BIG opportunity to get a good start on the ratings, especially since Season 3 was really anticipated.
I think their fallout will be a combo: Chuck and Serena getting closer (as step bro. and sister only), and especially if Serena and Nate start dating. As much as Blair obviously loves Chuck, I don't think she ever truly got over Nate, and especially Nate and Serena hooking up in Season 1.
