I don't hate Hilary Duff...but I don't like her character with Dan. I know a lot of people think it would be wird for him to get back with Serena, but that's what I want. I started watching the show in the first place cause my friend told me how amazing they were.

I agree that while the writers need to do something, but I dont think Blair and Dan are the answer. Just in response to Chuckaholic's points, I would like to present the argument as to why Dair wouldn't be a good idea.
1)"Serena and Blair, HUGE BITCH FIGHT! i mean dan is serenas property, ND BLAIR TAKIN HIM OUT OF ORDER!"
Serena and Blair are already in a huge bitch fight. Dan is not Serena's property and they've been over each other for a while now.
2)"Chucks reaction, would take him out of boring business man mode nd he will start schemming nd being evil againn, plus maybe back to his hookers nd booze ways for a while too! plus dan + chuck allways hated each other, yaay for more reasons!"
While I agree that Chuck needs some more fire, The Lost Boy episode was the only one that I saw a bit of his character again. I don't think he scheming against Dan for Blair would even be hard for him. A couple of calls, done.
3)Nate whom is now dans best friend would have to chose between chuck nd dan! oldest friend or new best friend?? Anyway he will prob want blair 4 himself, we all no nate!
Been there done that. I don't want to have to bother watching Nate try to make another life changing choice, I might just fall asleep.

She's leaving anyways. That's already been written. Besides, do you think that Dan could date a movie star forever? She's even more high profile then Serena. That was doomed from the start.
5)Blair nd dan have fantastic cemistry nd will prob have a really disfunctional relationship nd have lots of fights etc.......gud tv!
Dan never really fights with Blair, he doesn't stoop to her level. He won't scheme or plot against her, he'll just detach himself from her. It wouldn't be like Blair and Chuck first/second season.
6)Dan is still in love with serena nd so that will play on one of blairs biggest insecurities, that serena is always better than her! how will she reaction to ANOTHER of her boyfriends being in love with serena?
I don't think Dan's in love with Serena. Sharing a sibling was just too much for them and now that their parents are married, things are really over for them. I think that Blair's jealously of Serena could be brought in a better way.
7)Vanessa nd Blair will b forced together as one is dans best friend another dans girlfriend! nd maybe dan will have to chose?
8)dating dan will make blair popular againn so finaly she will stop moaning bout DCU!
Vanessa and Blair have been forced together numerous times, I don't think that would be anything new for the show. And even if she was dating Dan, I don't think Blair would be popular, she still has too much Constance attitude.
9) we get another love triangle!
Nate was Blair's first love, and Chuck was always there for her. That kind of love triangle is interesting to watch, while Dan, whom up until now has meant less then nothing to Blair, wouldn't stand a chance against Chuck. Which makes it less entertaining to watch. Chuck knows Blair too well for that.
10)Perfect way for dan nd serena to get back together if serenas jealous of dan nd blair!
No, I don't think that would get them back together. Their parents would still be married, they would still share a sibling. I don't think some jealously's going to do it.
11)Perfect way to get more hat sex scenes with chair if they are brocken up nd one of them wants to get bk together etc..... HOT CHAIR SEX!!!!
I don't know, I think that with the way things are going that Chuck would just ignore Blair, diving into his work. He has shown that he's able to resist Blair for the most part.
All and all, I think this show's in some serious trouble. And the writers need to step it up but I don't think a coupling will be the answer.

Derena was boring IMO and now they're brother and sister so I don't see that happening unless Lily gets married again :P I'm a fan of Seranate.

Wow - you guys absolutely hit the nail on the head. I have been trying to figure out what is off about the Chuck/Blair interaction (I am a die-hard fan of them). And it is Chuck! He needs to get out of Boring Businessman Mode and into incredibly possessive, jealous and immature mode. Because at the moment Blair is always the immature one and he seems too old in his outlook for her. That was the appeal of them together, wasn't it? Their insane intensity together.
It would be nice if the writers read this thread...

I no CHAIR FOREVER! but they do need some spicing up, maybe if they break up for some stupid reason nd blair nd dan have a fling that could be really cool! Cause first we'd be seeing the great cemistry between D and B plus we would have immature jealous Chuck that we love back! YAAY FOR PERFECT SOLUTION! cause we all no that blair nd dan would never last but we could get some great laughs out of it! my reasons;

those are my reasons for wanting blair nd dan together for a short while so if gg writers if u r watching PLEASE TRY IT! but keep in mind CHAIR FOREVER! chuck nd blair MUST end out together in the end!
Ps i like the couples derena4ever says for the end, nate nd jenny were good they should have a come back! serena and dan come on they are just fate nd they dont share any dna and they didnt grow up as bro nd sis i dont get the weirdness really? Blair nd chuck r just perfection, need a bit of spicing up at the moment but still my fav couple overall! Vanessa nd scott... those two annoying characters deserve each other they can go get married nd move away nd be boring somewhere far away from this show!

Carpediem145: I AGREE!! there was one sweet scene in season one with blair and dan (when her mom excludes her from the fashion show and dan helps her feel better) but i don't like them as anything more than what they are. chuck and blair are great together. dan and blair = FAIL
i will quit watching too. i don't think blair would ever be with dan. eww its just wrong haha

It would be weird for D&S to be back together now maybe, but hey.. it's Gossip Girl!!: scandals & OMFG moments all over right? And besides... I am hoping that either Bart Bass or even better.. Keith vander Woodsen will come and shake up the Rufly marriage. They are kind of getting boring anyway. Just my opinion! xoxo

Jenny is way to young for Nate, in real life he is ten years older than hers, and at the show she is such an annoying spoilted brat! I do like Derena tho. Blair will never go out with Dan that would be wrong and i do like chair but they are getting boring.

no problem gio xD ponk i do not like her because first)she is so annoying second)she is totally a bad actress third)dan is able to forgive all her lies ..but when he was with serena he wanted to break up everytime she told him a lie and fourth dan should be with serena, chuck with blair, jenny with nate and vanessa with scott!!!

why is everyone not liking Hillary? I'm not a fan at first but after I actually seen the episodes with her in it, I think she's okayyyy...she and Dan are really cute together! But maybe they just want to eliminate those who are not the main characters so the main characters can be paired together...then I think D will end up with V or S (I'm hoping V cos I'm looking forward to Serenate!) and B is off limit she belongs to C :)
