Victoria Beckham has reportedly landed a role on Gossip Girl and will arrive in New York City on Wednesday to shoot scenes for a future episode.
Looks like Posh has gone from Spice Girl to Gossip Girl!
“I’m beyond obsessed with that show,” she has said.
Becks is just the latest high-profile guest star this season. We've already seen Tory Burch, Tyra Banks, Hilary Duff (ongoing) and the Sonic Youth, and we will soon see Lady Gaga performing her new song on the show.
No word yet on whether Victoria will play herself or someone else.

i'm kinda tired of these random celebrity appearances
and i think they did perfectly well without them the last 2 years

I feel like they are compromising the integrity of the show in order to attract viewers. I do have to admit that the Duff was not nearly as bad as I imagined she would be.

I think it's great! S and B made fun of Posh in season 1 ("Bad News Blair"), and Blair's worn her designs this season. I'm betting it'll be fun and funny and won't compromise the main story lines at all. It will be mayjah.

it's becoming too much... I have nothing against all these appearances, but it's like the producers fear that the main cast can't carry this show on their own. I adored Joanna Garcia in Privileged, but Bree was such a waste of time and she didn't bring anything interesting to the show, Tyra Banks was just ... painful to watch, Hilary is ok for now(she managed to make nate look funny and interesting without having an actual scene with him, so she gets some points from me). And as for Carter... I hope there is still a purpose for him sticking around. And what happened to the whole missing father storyline?
I really miss season one, when the characters had good storylines. I mean what happened to Blair? It's like the writers don't have any imagination at all and they make her look stupid in the third season, which she is not...
I really hope that everyone will come back to their senses and will bring back the show where it was before(in the sense where it was such an amazing show).

I've enjoyed the guest spots so far...they worked Tory Burch in really well and didn't over do it; I even thought Tyra was entertaining, and I don't mind Duff so much as I thought I would. That being said, I feel really strongly that they should steer clear of making Gossip Girl one of those "guest star of the week" shows. We watch it for the stars they already have, not rando ploys to attract new viewers. Occasional guest spots, cool, I guess...guest stars every week, not cool.

Anyway, I hope the writers will find a way to make Victoria entertaining and not another boring, pointless guest to the show.

Yes! Tyra was terrible, Duff was fluff, Lady Gaga I could take or leave, but Posh will be perfect! She also has acknowledged that she is NOT a professional actress and she would like something more like a tongue-in-cheek cameo, so she will not be trying to act beyond her abilities (*cough* Tyra *cough*).

Stop with the guest stars! It's come to the point were the guest stars have more screen time and better storyline than Nate. hello! It isn't supposed to be that way
