  1. Dana Says:

    Lulu, completely agreed.

I am so tired of Blair being shat on and punished, I can't even tell you. It's been going on for over a season, when she does good and when she does bad.

I'm really tired of seeing Chuck painted as the grownup and she as the child. That makes no sense after last season. I don't want Chuck put down, either. I want them equal and scheming and BOTH insecure a bit about their relationship.

I...can't believe people liked this ep.

  2. shrimpie Says:

anyone have links to chuck and blair scenes from tonght's episode? thanks!

  3. MandyT Says:

Oh, and was NO one else appalled by that horrendous black and brown dress with the granny shoes they had Blair in??? I think Georgina slipped her costumer some roofies this week...

  4. N&S [for now] Says:

Okay; I am about to write a novel.

I loved Chuck. I loved Dan. I loved Jenny [for like, the 47 seconds she was in it]. I was sympathetic for Blair. Nate actually had a part. Serena was entertaining. Carter was cute- poor baby:[ And Vanessa- Ah, Vanessa. I am not crazy about her, but I was extremely happy that her role in this episode actually had a point for once. She made me want to punch the TV, however.

The relationship of Blair and Chuck was very realistic in this episode. Okay, maybe not the role-playing or the whole having-your-boyfriend-kiss-a-guy-for-you thing, but the way that Chuck genuinely felt betrayed by Blair. He was not angry, he did not threaten the relationship, and he did not cry, "Ew, gross. You tricked me into kissing a guy!" He seriously felt used and was disappointed that Blair lied to him. I used to hate Chuck, but thumbs up, Mr. Bass. Thumbs up.

Dan: I will never stop loving Dan. Ever.

Jenny was cute. I love that she actually acts like a younger sister, and I especially love that she hangs out with Rufus and Lily so much. Cute.

I, though annoyed with Blair, ended up feeling very bad for her. She really has taken her need-for-power too far, but it is a hard adjustment for her. Blair does not think things through: never has. But that is what is so likable, relatable, and downright entertaining about her. She tangles herself in a web, in like, every other episode- if not every week. Honestly, in season two, I started to semi-kinda-sorta dislike Blair; now, though, she is starting to remind me of her season one self. Which is good. Very good. Bring back the curls and headbands, and I am one happy camper!

    Serena. Needs. New. Clothes.

    Nate. Needs. More. Airtime.

Vanessa- Complete backstabber this episode, but I devilishly loved it. If anyone has seen 'Saved,' did she not completely remind you of Mandy Moore with the tape recorder when she hid the microphone from Blair? Ha:] But her phone call to her mom was very realistic and well-acted. She, however, was a horrible friend to Olivia and even Dan.

This episode= pure Gossip Girl goodness:] Finally.

  5. MandyT Says:

I just KNEW Blair would get busted this week!! The Blair/Chuck bliss was not going to last forever, you knew they were going to throw a wrench in there at some point to keep us dying for more! Overall, her sin is pretty small though so Chuck BETTER take her back! When he said he was "in a meeting" and the camera closed in on his face as he shut the door I was really afraid there would be another girl in the room! But NO... Chuck really has come a long way.

  6. amyk Says:

    aww poor Chair :(
and the promo! I hope they patch things up soon and it's not dragged out too long.

  7. LelaRose Says:

There was a comment above that I agree with, the one about Chuck babysitting Blair instead of dating her. That's how feels now. Blair and Chuck used to be equals, steering each other in the right direction or scheming when something doesn't work out for them. Blair and Chuck have been a team from the very first episode, when they were getting their revenge on Serena. They have always had this teamwork relationship. Hence why Chuck was so hurt about being kept out of the loop.

I think the new writers of Gossip Girl need to be fired, now. I have been saying that all season but I really mean it. They had established that Blair was finally adjusting to NYU, then all of a sudden she can't handle it? I'm getting bored of Blair in a way that I never thought I would.

I don't hate Vanessa, but she's not my favorite character and she will never be. She is also supposed to be a secondary character. The title of this episode shouldn't have been Enough About Eve, it should be Enough About Vanessa Already. I don't care if she's in the show but she needs to not be taking up so much screen time.

Vanessa, Lily, Rufus, the Guest Stars. They all have been on screen way to much lately. And where's Gossip Girl? Barely audible these days. I used to laugh at her remarks and remember her witty contributions, now I forget if she's even spoken in an episode. It's like back ground noise now. We need to return to the core characters. Blair, Serena, Chuck, Nate, Dan, and Jenny. Give them some good interactions in well written scenes and we may just save this dying show.

  8. Ana Says:

Seriously guys stop with the Vanessa hatred man!!!! I mean, i'm not gonna lie, she's definitely not one of my favorite charactors but CMON!!!! We have to accept that she is a character on the show. Every show has a character we despise and she just happens to be it. The writer's arent gonna kill her off just cause we dont like her. Seriously man... she causes drama and without drama a show just isnt good at all!

and they are soo not writing Blair out of character! I love her but its time she fell down a couple of times. She needs to learn that she wont always succeed. And yeah, i thought that was really mean what she did to chuck in tonights episode but again that just causes way more drama. A relationship isnt just rainbows and butterflies, mistakes are made.

I thought this episode was amazing! One of the best ones yet. Can't wait for next week!!! =]

  9. jaelsmind Says:

Every time I read these posts, I get more and more confused. If you don't like the show anymore then stop posting your comments about the show on a website dedicated to the show.

I liked this episode. Although, I thought the plot at the beginning with Nate and Serena was a little weird until I realized why Nate was "helping" Serena. I couldnt understand why he would help out Carter after what happened between them in Season 1.

Blair and Chuck are my favorite. I watch the show mainly for them. When I saw the promos, I didnt understand why Blair would use a guy in her scheme, but it obviously made sense after watching. I didnt realize it until after I thought about it a little, after Chuck said "you honestly think I've never kissed a guy before", that if Blair had just told Chuck what was at stake and asked him to do it, he would've done it freely just because he loves her. (and I think the confused look on her face after he said that was of both a little freaked out, lol and she realized it too) Although, he may have also tried to talk her out of it, but eventually he would've come around.

I think Vanessa is coming out more because she's been on the back burner for a minute. I don't really get why ppl hate her so much, but whatever. I thought it was cool to kind of get to know her a little bit more and you get to see where her attitude and her opinions about the Upper East Side come from. I think the writers realized that we begin to understand the characters a little better once we meet their parents. (I mean we realized why Blair is the way she is right??)

I definitely do not think that Chuck and Blair are done just yet. They are a couple and they've hit a little speed bump but they're still Chuck and Blair and they know each other very well and they'll make it. If they were all lovey all the time, they wouldnt be themselves. The best thing about them as a couple is that they arent really afraid to argue and say how they feel. If you watch the show, they really do bicker all the time, lol. It's cute though.

I like Dan and Olivia together. That's really it. LOL

The scene at the end with Blair and Vanessa was cute, but I know it wont last longer than that scene, lol!

I'm looking forward to seeing more of Jenny in her new Queen Bee status. I wanna see how Constance is run under her rule. So hopefully we'll get more of that.

  10. Sara Says:

OMG! This was THE best episode EVER! At least of season 3!

I know you all hate Vanessa but i actually like her today, i mean, she wants to be mean, but there is nothing meaner than Karma. I love the way Blair played her.

Who would thought that Chuck was going to be more mature than Blair?! Its AMAZING!

I love the episode, the BEST!

BTW whats gonna happen to Carter?

  11. BlairCorneliaBassxo Says:

Actually, it was my second favorite Chair episode after 3x3 for the season. There were so many amazing lines:
    "Chuck, my love!"
    "My wonderful man"
"I'm only annoyed that I kissed someone else but you"
"Did you think that was the first time I kissed a guy?"
"I had to lie to Chuck- the person that trusts me the most"
"I don't feel that way about you"

Yes, Blair was extremely petty and annoying in the episode- but she has been ever since she started college, and I think this will finally be the wake-up call to make her change. Hell, if she ends the episode by sitting down, eating breakfast, and smiling at Vanessa- that is a major change.

Chuck has been trying to help Blair all through this and I'm kind of glad for this chance for her to make things up to him. I'm sure she'll do something very sweet to make it up. And I loved everything that Lily said to Blair in the end.

On the whole, I think the seriousness of the fight between Chuck an Blair is contrived, but I'm glad that it's a fight over this than some indiscretion of Chuck's or something. Again, I'll really be looking forward to how Blair makes it up to Chuck after this and begins to grow up.

  12. MealieslovesGG Says:

I loved this episode! There was so much going on & it was exciting. The promo for next week looks amazing. Can't wait.

  13. M. Archibald Says:

loved the episode. it was really omfg.

liked the serenate interaction but i'm dissapointed at the same time. i used to be a huge serenate fan, since first episode, first season, but now i don't know... i kind of lost my faith in them. besides, they made scarter something so beautiful and strong. why ruin it? it makes no sense. it's like they ruined serenate and scarter, and honestly, now scarter seems much more interesting than serenate. hated nate this episode, is he turning into his father or something?

also hated blair, but that's ok, i think we're supposed to hate her sometimes. loved how she got punished and loved the ending with vanessa. loved vanessa. the way she tried so hard not to cry on the phone, with her mom, was just... intense, jessica was really amazing on this episode.

  14. Anh Says:

I really hope Blair and Chuck won't break up! I love them together. It seems like Serena always has major relationship problems. She needs to go back to Dan, now there's a stable relationship. I have to say that I don't care much for Hilary Duff....

  15. jenn Says:

I was pleasantly surprised by this episode. I am a huge classic movie buff and All About Eve is my second favorite movie of all time. In my opinion, the references to all about eve were crucial to this episode and if you've watched the movie recently, you'd notice the similarities between both. Blair is used to being the center of attention, but NYU is a completely different environment. This was a chance for Blair to gain social ground with the freshman population. Primarily for season 1, her popularity defined who she was and how she acted. Up until 1.07 every choice she made was based on outward appearances. And a part of her will always try to be the center of attention, the best way she can: by making others look inferior. That is an integral part of her character and serves to show that her high school tactics won't work in a college that places less significance on breeding. I'm not sure if it was totally in character for her to use Chuck the way she did at this stage of their relationship. But, at the same time, I feel that she was so driven to obtain her goal that she didn't go about it logically.

  16. e Says:

    KILL.
    VANESSA.
    ASAP.

IM OKAY WITH ALL THE GUEST CHARACTERS, I CAND HANDLE THAT EVEN THOUGH I THINK ITS TO MUCH, BUT C'MON, TOO MUCH SCREENTIME FOR VANESSA!!!!!!
SHE'S BORING AS HELL ALL SHE MAKES ME WANNA DO IS WASH HER HAIR AND COMB IT UNTIL SHE DISAPPEARS.

  17. N&S [for now] Says:

I LOVED this episode. I like season three WAY more than season two. God, this episode was OUTSTANDING. I used to despise Chuck, but now I seriously love him.

The only thing that would make GG better would be for Serena's wardrobe to DRASTICALLY improve and for Blair to get her old style back- so basically, purely aesthetics.

  18. misswaldorf Says:

Why does everyone hate Vanessa so much??? I don't get it. I'm kindof indifferent about her. Like, why does everyone here thinks she is UGLY and USELESS??? She is DEFINITELY NOT UGLY. Geez.

  19. michelle Says:

can the writers kill off vanessa?? i can't stand her. she's so annoying.. i'd prefer hazel and all the mean girls than vanessa.. oh my..

  20. Lulu Says:

No, sorry, there's not enough Vanessa hatred. I used to be one of the people who tolerated her with indifference, but no more. Season One, she's blackmailing Blair for no good reason--just because she's a bitch. Season Two, she's blackmailing Blair again with a picture of Marcus, just because she's a bitch. She sleeps with Chuck purely out of spite against Blair, which was just disgusting. Season Three, she's lying and manipulating her supposed friend Dan and Olivia just because she's a bitch. She is hateful to her mother for absolutely no good reason that I can discern. Being a backstabbing, manipulative little extortionist is Vanessa's MO in life!

When Blair does bad things, we understand that she has pure motives on some level. She tries to hurt people when they betray her and hurt her. That's why she's not a villian but a heroine, because we feel her pain and we're rooting for her, even though we know her reactions are over the top. Today's episode was like a cheesy, cardboard-cutout version of Blair. This is a Blair robbed of all the powers that previously made her great, and that's not okay. In the past, when Blair has bested Vanessa, it's okay because we grasp that Vanessa did bad things to her for no good reason. So what the heck did Blair actually do wrong in this episode, to deserve the crap V. pulled? Vanessa was the one lying to her friends. To call what B. did dishonest is pretty flimsy, especially since the Chuck we know would have no problem with it, and should have been in her bedroom plotting it out with her. Writers, I refuse this crap. Do better next time, and get rid of that horrid troll Vanessa. It's like the whole show revolves around her now. Ugh.

  21. kellynicolex Says:

    I REALLY LOVED THIS EPISODE,
    except for like one thing.

why is chuck like so mature,
&&& blair keeps getting more immature.
    its like really weird.

if i were chuck i would feel like i was babysitting blair,
    not dating her.

  22. kalemia Says:

Blair was pathetic in this rpisode and I'm sad. But V! This girl is becomig almost creepy. What she did to Dan and Olivia was crazy. I'm not trying to be sick of her but I guess writers really want us to hate this character or something. Enough about V.

Nate was pretty good. It was predictable plot though.

  23. Addison Rose Says:

i liked the end with blair and vanessa, i want them to be friends, even though i hate vanessa.

And i of course loved all the Humphrey scenes ( i can't believe that finally includes Lily! : ) )

  24. JKay Says:

Areesa, agreed. I hate when they have Blair do out of character things (I would argue the Nate/Yale thing was OOC too and in the exact same way) just to punish her. So sick of it.

Characters doing unexpected things only works if it is IN CHARACTER, (like the limo in 2x07) not if it's OOC. Then it's just writing fail and making me think the writers have a thing for punishing the female characters and making the male characters the moral center.

  25. v Says:

dude, it's so unfair. when Vanessa is super manipulative, nothing really bad ever happens to her. When Blair does ANYTHING she gets total karma.
