Gossip Girl Spoilers: Is Chuck's Mother Alive?
If many fans aren't feeling the same love for the Upper East Siders this year, the creative powers behind Gossip Girl are well aware, according to E! Online.
"They're bringing back the OMG," an insider reports.
How will they do that? Well, we already known John Robert Burke (Bart Bass) will be coming back to Gossip Girl, and that "he'll be a ghost" of some kind.
Here's where it gets interesting, however. It turns out Chuck may have a "dead" parent who might not be so dead. You thinking what we're thinking?
"There's a huge storyline later this season that is going to blow you away," promises a source. "And it involves Chuck, Jack Bass and Chuck's mother."
Will we meet the woman who brought Chuck into the world?
Also making a comeback? Serena's father. Says the source:
"We will see him this season. But he hasn't been cast yet."
Whoever it is, he's going to bring with him another major story arc and trouble for Rufus Humphrey. Meanwhile, you can expect Chair to heat up again.
As for Olivia (Hilary Duff), she is officially off the series for good, leaving Dan all by his lonesome to get together with BFF (with benefits) Vanessa.
Finally, long-held feelings Nate has had for Serena (don't forget the drama that started the series) will add deep emotion to their upcoming pairing.
Thoughts? Criticism? Happiness? Comment away!

Geez, too much at the same time. That is what's ruining the show at the moment. So let's see all the thing they have planed for this season.. for now:
-Bart comes back as a vision
-Jack comes back for some more trouble
-Jack and Chuck's mother. (What's her name, I've seen Evelyn and Misty quite a lot but Idk)
-Serena's father comes back and apparently he is a doctor?
-Eleanor is pregnant (Not so sure about that one, but is an option)
-Serena gets in a car-accident
-VD relationship
-SN relationship ( I've been waiting for it since the pilot, but I'm counting on the writers to ruin it, as everything this season. They had potential in season 1 but now... Now nobody has potential. They are ruining CB. What a waste)
-Jenny's constant changing of Queen status
-Drama between Lily and Rufus, because of S's father
And those are the ones I remember. I think it's a little too much, but I'm the one that thinks the next will be the last season of GG so maybe they want to get it all out and tie those loose ends. Though they are just making it a big mess. All of it happening at once? C'mon!
I wish it was like season one, major plots! not a lot of little ones. I really hope GG dies young in all its glory than old and boring...

Now, my opinion of just this story arc of Chuck's mom. I'm kinda glad that they are bringing her up. They mentioned her once when D and C got arrested and we never heard of her again.
In season one, the pilot gave the impression that both Chuck's mom and dad were alive. But I've read in some interviews that the pilot was really inclined to the books so they didn't change much. That was one of the thing they changed (Chuck's mother being death and him being a rapist, they said that it was one of the thing they would have change if they had known the popularity and story arc the character was going to get)
Glad to see we are getting something there. I hope it's some closure, to finally know what happened there.
I'm also interested in knowing what happened with Lily's sister. We heard some of her in 2x24 but never again..
PS:
Scott! How could I forget about him? Oh! WAIT! It seems everybody has, including his whole family (two brothers, two sister, a mother and a father) Yeah.. Way to drop the ball writers. You are doing it great. NOT.

Totally agree w/ you Pats.
I'd rather see GG end in al its glory and sucess than end like(Sorry OTH fans) One Tree Hill.A tv show that's about teenagers can't last more than 4 seasons w/o becoming boring.

Happiness, for sure.
Chuck's mom? I wanted it to happen from the moment someone mentioned the possibility she could be still alive. Enough of mature!Chuck, I want some drama for him. I love him as a broken boy. He was so awesome after Bart's dead! This is a good way to heat Chair up again. I wouldn't say they are boring, but their screen time becomes less and less and I want my favourite couple, who owned the show, back in full force.
The show's becoming interesting again! Yay! The only thing is, as someone else mentioned, I hope the writers wouldn't screw these good storylines by rushing them.
