Gossip Girl Threesome Sparks PTC Complaints
The much-anticipated Gossip Girl threesome scene in next week's episode of the hit show is coming under criticism from the Parents Television Council (PTC).
The group has released an open letter to The CW that they are objecting to the idea of such scene, which they are claiming is "reckless and irresponsible."
"Gossip Girl routinely depicts teenagers engaging in promiscuous, consequence-free sexual behavior, and that's bad enough," PTC president Tim Winter wrote.
"But will you now be complicit in establishing a precedent and expectation that teenagers engage in behavior heretofore associated primarily with adult films?"
Should the PTC launch a formal complaint with the government and regulators agree with the PTC about the episode content, the CW could face a large fine.

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules stipulate that the government may pull "unsatisfactory or unsuitable or contrary to public interest" program.
It is not outside the realm of possibility that the episode could be nixed by the FCC, but we don't see it happening ... unless the scene is way racier than thought.
The episode, "They Shoot Humphreys, Don't They?" airs next week, and while the threesome scene has not been leaked, a couple of promos have hyped it up.
Speculation about it has also been running rampant for weeks.
In concluding its letter of protest, the PTC pleaded to the CW to "ask yourself, how does airing this program serve your obligation to serve the public interest?"
The CW has not publicly responded to the letter but has released two sneak previews from the episode instead. The clips contain no hints of the threesome.

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! So they have a girl on girl kiss in "dare devil", a guy on guy kiss in "all about eve" They have scenes like this all the time, but they object to adding in one more person to the group. Sheesh! these parents all should know by now that gossip girl is a show that pushes the limits. Plus, I'm sure that there are several people that have been involved in a 3some, especially since it's in college. However, I would object if Jenny was in the 3way, that would not be cool.

The PTC need to go f*** themselves as far as I'm concerned. Unless Jenny's part of this threesome (which I highly doubt she will be) then all the characters are of legal age so there's really nothing they can do about it.
I'm personally glad that they're not going in the PG direction I thought they were headed this season.

I agree. Having Jenny would not be appropriate but, since we know it doesn't involve her, everyone else on the show is over 18 so it's fine. Plus, they're in college and everyone knows that lots of people 'experiment' with new things in college.

PTC suck a**. It is rather stupid to think this episode will give teenagers ideas and make EVERYONE indulge in "promiscuous" sex. Naturally it's okay to kill people on TV, but sex is RECKLESS & IRRESPONSIBLE. If three people, who are not underage, want to have a f'cking threesome, why shouldn't they? I don't get that.
