That's what it looks like in the photo below? Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester looked almost unrecognizable thanks to her raccoon eyes, pale skin and red lipstick at Tuesday's American Eagle Outfitters flagship store launch in NYC.

The red lips looks good on her, the black eyeshadow not so much. I think she looks her best in a more natural look.

If you're going for a smokey eye, you never leave the dark eyeliner out. If you do, you're going for a "i'm a abused spouse" look, seriously.
But the red lip is fierce.

I love Leighton Meester but ... a more natural look on her would be better. Forget the eyes, keep your work on the lips!

Please. Even with a black plastic bag over her head, Leighton will overshadow Taylor on any given day. Some girls are just like that. The smile, the curves, the moves, personality, everything. In almost every scene on the show she has a slightly different look. There's something about her face, the lighting or how makeup works for her. I don't know how it happens, but she is a girl of a thousand faces, and all of them are pretty. She is not a regular 2 face joker.

The gold cross earrings are tacky, but the lipstick and dark curls are very striking and beautiful.

she doesnt look pretty in heavy makeup. she looks best in natural look.
