   i do agree that prom was a little rushed - but it still had some cute/important bits in that so its alright.
   i actually liked the flashbacks, i could see myself watching the spinoff if they carry on with it :)

   is the guy she's with supposed to be rufus? (because in the promo the van der woodsen guy has blonde hair?)

   just have to say i thought this episode was especially amazing - towards the end definately.
   
   -poor chuck when he finds nate has taken what he said and gone running to get blair back and hw sweet when he apologized to jenny
   
   -jenny for standing up for herself, totally forgot about that, but wtf at the van der woodsen's and at that hair(!)
   
   -didn't think gabriel looked that gd in the pics posted here b4, but he's alright as he matches up with serena. Interested to see what happens next after the ending with poppy.
   
   oh and of course nate should go to columbia, you can't have him all mad at people treating him like a puppett and then play along!

   i agree that there isn't really any consistency, espec. if C is gonna sleep with georgina in the next ep. Don't get me wrong i love the show and the episode. I did wonder whether the 'fan' would be the son when the previously bit included it.

    Based on other comments:
    i think it must be do with tripp cos why else would nate be making a toast and he says 'watch your back'. I think it might be georgina in bed with chuck. And serena got married wtf!?!? she met him before going on a flight, thought they'd met b4 and i have no idea hw marriage links it. what did they do in spain?
    
    oh and 3 WEEKS, we just had to wait forever for ep. 18!

    i'm really surprised that the ratings are low for gossip girl(i'm from UK), its my favourite show and each episode is always exciting for me and i can't wait till the next one. The mid-season breaks are annoying but it gets you eager for the next one i guess. Maybe some ppl find it too controversial and sexed-up?

    i mean i like nate and vanessa together - i don't get why ppl hate her - but i agree with barb as i think nate did treat her badly by doing that

    Anyway, loved the episode - glad chuck finally came 2 his senses after that pointless elle storyline and i thought that they bigged up carter but then he was gone within the first 10mins.
    This love quadrangle will be interesting, even though i love CB and NV as couples :)

    i know that tripp was kinda drunk when he gave vanessa that hug, but didn't it seem a little too tender?(not sure if thats the best word...)
    And then with the fact that he's supposed to be a kind-of player - as reported on a spoiler - i wondered if that was supposed to mean anything? Or am i just getting a bit too deep??
