  1. Gossip Girl Spoilers: Serena's Season Finale Suitor is ...

I have this terrible feeling that Chuck's going to say ILY, but then tells B he can't be with her - or maybe vice versa! - because of whatever the GG blast reveals.

That way, Chair fans will still "be rewarded for their patience" as various spoilerish news promised, but it will come with a twisty, dark price.

    Cue next season's angsty heartache!
  2. Extended Promo: "The Goodbye Gossip Girl"

I definitely agree - re: the GG blast having something to do with B and C (though it's likely about all of them to some degree or another, judging by the chaos that's supposed to ensue). When J tells B about her "gossip being too juicy to wait", the edit flashes to Chuck. When Blair is yelling at Serena, Chuck isn't just walking away, he's *stalking* away, as in pissed or upset. Something obviously goes down badly between them, which leads Blair to her final "tell me you love me" plea.

Perhaps J spills the beans about Chuck and Vanessa?

Perhaps someone finally has details about what went down between Blair and Uncle Jack on NYE?!

Could the Carter/Serena secret also be exposed?

Either way, I'm all about this upcoming Sunday!

    CANNOT. FREAKIN. WAIT!!! XD
  3. Gossip Girl Clips From "Valley Girls"

THANK you, Maya - that's pretty much exactly what I was going to say. This has nothing to do with "stupid writers" or "making the fans happy with a rushed break-up" - this was PLANNED and EXECUTED perfectly. Blair needed something comforting and familiar after her future was thrown into WTF-land, and Nate fit the bill perfectly. She probably would have preferred Chuck, but he was obviously too busy trying to woo Elle (in an effort to forget Blair, stay out of her life, and thereby spare her any further pain, imo).

She still LOVES Chuck, obviously, so to continue with Nate would have been wrong - good for you for realizing that, B! As she so eloquently puts it: Nate was her highshool love, and highschool is over. For me, this was exactly the kind of gentle, bittersweet B/N closure I was looking for.

The only part of the VG storyline I liked was RYAN HANSEN! He was hilarious, as usual. Too bad Josh n' Steph couldn't have added him to the current cast - I think he's totally wasted in the (possible) spin-off.
  4. Episode Clips From "The Wrath of Con"

MissGossip - iirc, the "Valley Girls" episode is the one detailing Lily's backstory.
  5. Kristen Bell to Guest Star on Gossip Girl?

I love Kristen - seeing her on GG at some point in the future would be absolutely awesome. ^_^
  6. Gossip Girl Spinoff Casting Notes

I LOVED Hansen as Dick Casablancas - he was one of the best characters on Veronica Mars!!

I was already intrigued by the previous spin-off casting info, now I'm *definitely* going to be watching! :D
  7. New Gossip Girl Previews For Upcoming Episodes

First: don't worry, michelle a. - that scene with Chuck and Serena is from an earlier episode.

Second: I agree with the Nelly Yuki haters - what a massive biznatch! I hope Blair gets some sweet, SWEET revenge on that traitor.

Third: Was I the only one who saw Carter (unless my eyes are starting to fade in my old age) getting all cozy with Blair in that restaurant scene?! Hand on her arm, then going for her thigh? WTF?! EWWWW! (Not Sebastien, of course, just his character, heh.)

    Fourth: I heart Dorota! ^_^
  8. Krysten Ritter Cast as Lily's Sister in Gossip Girl Spinoff

Kristen Bell would be MY first choice! Amanda Seyfried would be acceptable, too - love 'em both! Krysten was cute as Gia on VM, so I think she'll do a wonderful job with this role.

I can't believe that I'm starting to actually get *interested* in this possible spin-off...amazing!
  9. A Winter Kiss

Even the massive Chair-shipper in me can't deny how romantic this looks - can't *wait* to see how this scene unfolds!!
  10. Gossip Girl Spoilers: Joining Forces with the Enemy

The Rufly baby would be approx. 20, not 16.

My first thought was Georgina was going to help with the teacher, too, but Rachel will be gone in a few episodes - and honestly, Blair should be able to get rid of the beeotch on her own. So that leaves the nanny plot, Serena's similarities to Anne Hathaway, and perhaps something to do with the fallout from Jack. Maybe the Rufly baby is an evil gold digger, and Georgie will help with that? So many possibilities, not enough juicy promos...
  11. Penn and Chace

EWWW! Ditch the fur, Penn!! Wearing the skins of tortured animals is NOT fashionable!
  12. Gossip Girl Round Table: "You've Got Yale"

    1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?

Once again, we have another episode with great dialogue, making it difficult to choose just one quote. Ultimately, I'd have to go with the entire back and forth between Chuck and Lily as they discuss the ways to get rid of Jack, tied with everything Eric said. He was really funny this week - and should have a larger role in future eps.

    2. Did you like the mostly lighter feel of this episode?

Yes. It's nice to finally focus on something *other* than the darker subjects from previous episodes. Definitely felt like I could breathe during this one - like spring is on the horizon for everyone.

    3. Most hard to believe Yale plot development: Blair's chances threatened by one B; Students learning of their fate via text message; Serena getting in period?

    Serena getting in, period.

    4. Nate letting Vanessa buy the opera tickets when he owns a box: Sweet or stupid?

Sweet - although in all fairness, he didn't "let" her buy the tickets, V bought them before he could invite her to his family's box. He "let" her take him to the opera, which was cute. I'm not a big fan of the pair, but it was nice to see at least *one* couple enjoying relationship bliss for a change...

    5. Is Chuck Bass the best character on television?

Absolutely, with Blair a near second. The entire GG cast is really quite remarkable - they managed to both attract and keep *my* attention, which is a feat in and of itself. I don't really watch much television...

BONUS QUESTION: What's in store for Rachel and Blair - and Rachel and Dan?

I hope Blair goes for Rachel's throat - especially when she discovers that Dan's hot for teacher. I would LOVE to see Blair and Serena team up for a big take down of both Humphrey and Carr!! :D
  13. Discuss "You've Got Yale" in our Gossip Girl Forum!

The teacher is cute, but B and S are *gorgeous* - no contest, imo. ;)
  14. Discuss "You've Got Yale" in our Gossip Girl Forum!

I agree, Kellerz - not knowing what happened on NYE has been making me crazy for weeks! I'm really hoping we get *some* kind of clarification on that.

I'm also hoping for something Chair related, but will totally understand if the C/B interaction is minimal. I would also like to see at least one Jack/Blair scene - perhaps a flashback to NYE, or a final confrontation between the two before he leaves?

Is tonight where we get to see Nate and Vanessa at the opera? I can't wait to see how their date goes. (Guess it's true about absence making the heart grow fonder - we haven't seen much of them in recent weeks, and I've actually started to miss them - go figure!)
  15. Gossip Girl TV Scheduling Note

I don't mind repeats every now and then - especially when my DVR eats an episode instead of recording it properly. Like it did with 2x13. So BOO for no new ep, YAY for having the opportunity to add it back into repeat-viewing rotation! ;)
  16. Josh Schwartz Speaks on Gossip Girl Spinoff, Chair

First off, it's not all the back n' forth Chair drama that's getting tired, it's all the complaining about needing them to get together ASAP that is. Get a clue, people - if C and B hooked up and became the fairytale couple everyone's grousing about, THAT'S what would cause fans to lose interest. It's the drama that keeps Chair ALIVE and EXCITING! As far as I'm concerned, Josh and Stephanie can keep Chuck and Blair fighting and making up for as many epsiodes as they'd like - I'll be sure to watch EVERY SINGLE DELICIOUS MOMENT.

As for the spin-off, does it have its own team of writers? I don't want GG to suffer in ANY WAY, but especially creativity-wise. If energy/ideas are siphoned off GG and fed into this new Lily prequel, I will not be a happy camper. If there's NO interference with GG, I *might* give it a chance...
  17. Blake in Black

Wow - love her coat and bag. Such a different look for S's character!
  18. Leighton Meester and Jessica Szohr Brave the Elements

I feel cold just looking at them! *shivers*

Silly, adorable girls - put on some gloves and warmer coats!
  19. Promos For "You've Got Yale!"

Love Dorota! She and B make a formidable tag-team - can't wait to see how this all goes down.
  20. Blake Lively Graces Cover of Vogue

    Blake is absolutely STUNNING!

And I agree, alisonlovesCB - Leighton and Blake are both beautiful! Rude comments about either are totally unnecessary...
  21. Gossip Girl Round Table: "Gone with the Will"

    1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?

How can I pick just one? The dialogue was great this week!

Loved the sleazy Jack/Blair exchange right at the beginning, Blair's remark about how hard it is to find good minions, and the elevator scene between Chuck/Blair at the end was *painfully* good - "When you called me your wife, you made it sound like the ugliest word in the world..."

(After she says this, you can actually SEE her heart breaking as she pauses to replay that moment in her head for the millionth time - such brilliant acting on Leighton's part this episode!)

    2. Where do Chuck and Blair go from here?

Blair's going to ignore her broken heart by jumping back into school, reclaiming her recently abandoned throne, and trying to keep her lunch down (though I'm thinking a full-blown relapse is on the way). Chuck is going to focus on getting rid of Jack and winning back his company, before turning his attention to B - which is exactly what he *should* do.

I forsee a swoon-worthy reunion for this pair. The amount of squeeage that moment will elicit will likely scare both my cats and my hubby - and that's how you know you're watching excellent television, heh. ;)

    3. On a scale of 1-10, rate Nate and Vanessa's respective uselessness in this episode.

    Uh...they were in this episode?

Seriously, what was the point of either of them showing up? Nate had to impart "wise words" to Dan - Vanessa had to send the world's most ridiculous text message - both of them were totally pimping the evil delights of uber expensive candy - LAAAAAME!

Either give them a decent storyline, or don't bother writing them in at all!

    4. Most unbelievable: A teenager named CEO of a billion-dollar real estate conglomerate, Jenny's hair, or Nelly Yuki being stealthy enough to gank Dan's phone?

Where the hell did "new and improved!" Nelly Yuki come from? Last year, she was an anti-social mega brain with a dairy intolerance (which didn't jive with the whole Pinkberry inclusion - or do they have dairy-free options?), and now she's suddenly this sneaky, savvy, super socialista with a hidden agenda at every turn!

I'd buy Chuck as a CEO and rat-tailed Jenny before going for "Ninja Nelly"...

    5. So Andrew isn't dead after all. How will Rufus and Lily find this out?

I think the long-lost Rufly baby will find out that his birth mama has money, and come to collect his birthright, read: paycheque. It'll come as a huge surprise, perhaps at the end of the season, after most of the regular drama is said and/or done, and an innocent knock on the door will set the whole thing in motion...
  22. Discuss "Gone with the Will" in Gossip Girl Forum!

Canadians don't get GG early anymore - we have to wait until tonight, just like the rest of you.
  23. Taylor Momsen at Golden Globe After-Party

She's a teenager, and should be allowed to explore whatever style/outfits/hair she wants - she shouldn't have to dress for anyone but herself. As for not bothering with a stylist - good for her! Plenty of mega-stars have entire stylist TEAMS and STILL look horrid. Cultivating her own look is all a part of growing up, so give the kid a break!

I think she usually looks quite nice, and this pic is no exception.
  24. Sneak Previews of "Gone with the Will"

Thanks for posting these - can't wait for Monday!! :)
  25. Gossip Girl Spoilers: Lily-Rufus Love Child Update

RE: current spoilers about how the child is already dead due to a sailing accident - well, I'm thinking that we're dealing with a possible red herring here. What's going to cause the most drama/distance between Lily/Rufus and their kids? Having the love child dead and that chapter of the book closed immediately, or having the love child *thought* to be dead, followed by arguments and grieving, only for the mystery kid to show up later to wreak havoc on hearts and emotions and the UES in general?

My vote is for the latter. ;)
